I'm actually working on it but I'm not able to finish the special effects. Could anybody do it ?

what sort of special effects?

Talking from memory :

1) Spock's birth - the creature at the beginning looks very "temp", also I want to recolour all the Vulcan scenes so they have a red sky

2) When Nero's ship is surrounded by Klingons, the ships need to be finished

3) When Sarek and Amanda argue, behind the window is a blue screen, also in the previous shot the sky is blue

4) When Amanda watches the destruction of Vulcan, the "beam" is a static painting in the first scene, and it's completely gone from all the other scenes (also the sky changes color during the camera cuts)

5) During the extended Kobayaishi Mary sequence a green screen us visible at one shot

Alrighty then.

The point has been made and emphasised about the window. Just to keep you happy the window was always supposed to be there from the concept stage of film on McQuarries designs:

Speaking of which, and maybe impossible to do, some of the backgrounds that were originally intended for Degobah look twenty times as creepy as the final film set:

Mutant trees and sort of an Alien queens hive enviroment (complete with mutant spider). Spooky!

Amazing ! I have never seen these pics before . May I ask where are they from ?

Firstly, the difference between the theatrical and DVD versions can be seen here... http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/articles/star-wars-the-changes-part-four.html

It must be over 4 years since I first uploaded the "missing" clips from the TB version for someone to make a theatrical version of TPM using the DVD as a source. That never happened so I am pleased to see this release come out.

Newsgroups! In the UK, any half decent ISP provides them free and has about a weeks retention which is more than enough if you download as something is posted.

Of course, for those people without a decent ISP, you can currently get 180GB of download for $25 which equates to arround $1 to download another fantastic piece of work by ADYWAN. Are those people who are anti-newsgroups saying that this is not worth $1?? Just asking..........

Hi Russ, remember me ? Yes, it DID happen, it just wasn't uploaded :) I've offered you many times my final products :)

The updated and corrected version of this project will be released soon. As a donation to the project, a fellow fan from this forum has sent in some very rare original promotion footage.  It's a rare production featurette that is being cleand up by the best of my abilities.  I'm sure every fan of this film will appreciate having this extra in their collection.

Cool. Thanks

The new version is pretty good, but I still prefer the original

I have the original version, and was thinking about replacing it with this new version. Any reasons not to? You said you preferred the original, the original is the only one I have seen, but I think it is great. Is there anything on it I will miss if I chuck it out and get the new one? Is the new one worth taking the time to dl?

1) Switching back between 4:3 and 16:9

2) repeating some segments twice (bad editing / encoding )

3) "crushed blacks"

4) missing some features from the original DVD

....

I think the best idea is to have both versions, because the new deleted scenes look great

Duplicating frames in AviSynth
Time

I have a problem.

I have a time-coded capture of a concert. After an analysis I found out that beginning with frame 2884 every 221th frame is missing (the timecode is a pretty usefull thing :) )

So now I would need a script which takes frames 0-2883, duplicates frame 2884 and then duplicates every 221th frame.

Or in other words I need to duplicate frames 2884, 3105, 3326, 3547, 3768, 3989 and so on.

Is here some AviSynth "guru" who can help me with this script ?
