So, what do you think about the video quality ? Honestly. The screencaps are done with BSPlayer during watching, so don't expect some awsome quality pics, but it gives you the idea of how it will lokk like.

Thanks about the info about the 6track mix, if I don't get more detailed information I'll just do a 5.1 "remix" of the stereo mix. So all I need now is the stereo mix

ROTE doesn't have "a bit better quality", it has MUCH better quality (I know what I'm talking about, I've compared the scenes in 1600% zoom).I just hope I will live enough long to get an official Lucasfilm DVD with ALL the cut scenes

And what about the subtitles ? Is there no project with english subtitles ?

Help Wanted: with my small OT preservation project ...
Time

Hello friends, I’ve just started to do something which I wanted to do since I’ve got the EditDroid Discs. The plan was originally to simply multiplex the better video from the second release with all the audio mixes from the first release, but the more time I’m spending on it, the better I want to do it.

So what should it be ?
Disc 1 : The recreation of the 1977 movie - that means the original crawl (non-“episode IV”), plus the mono mix, the original stereo mix + a 5.1 mix (which would be my attempt to recreate the original 6 track mix) + isolated score mix. Video would be a combination of the new EditDroid release + Empire of Dreams. It will also the Mark Hamill TV intro & outro (probably selectable).

Disc 2 : A “repaired” version of the Special Edition - correct lightsabres, removed garbage mattes, corrected editorial misstakes… This one will also have a new commentary mix created from the official one and a lot of interviews.

Disc 3 : The Documentaries - devided in 3 sections - Pre-production, production & post-production (exactly as the Alien Quadrology bonus discs) with brand new documentaries created by me from many sources, all scripts as slideshows (Alien Quadrology owners understand), and of course the Deleted Scenes in post-production section (all I can find, not just the common “Bigs scenes”).

Disc 4 : Star Wars Legacy - the holliday special, the making of star wars as told by c3po & r2d2, the muppets show …

I hope I’ll make it till christmas

But I need help:

  1. The opening crawl - has anybody this ? The EditDroid discs have a recreated crawl, which doesn’t look right compared to Empire Of Dreams I tried to combine the incomplete crawl from EOD with the EditDroid crawl, but you can guess how it looks like. Does anybody have the original crawl or at least a better-than-EditDroid looking recreation ?

  2. The sound mixes - I thougt that at least one of the EditDroid discs will have the original stereo mix but some trustable people here claim they don’t . I’ve read here that Neil has the TRUE theatrical stereo mix and many of you also. Can somebody upload just the audio somewhere ? I mean somewhere like e.g. rapidshare or mail , because I’m not getting online from home, so bittorent or usenet are not an oppinion for me. I’ve read Neil made a flac file - would be ideal, or maybe even mp3.

And what about the 6-track mix ? Any ideas ? The only thing I know is that it disn’t have the “The tractor beam is coupled to…” line and that is definitely not enough for recreating the mix !

  1. Deleted scenes - I have only Deleted Magic and Return Of The Ewok, does anybody have some more scenes ?

  2. English subtitles - I really need well-timed English subtitles. I’m too lazy to rip it from the official DVD and search what has been added to SE .

So please if you can help me, I will think of you when this project is done

Oh my god-green shirt !
Time
I saw Star Wars about 30 times, maybe more. I always thought it was a great movie without errors. Yesterday there was nothing watchable for me on TV, so I decided after a long time watch my Star Wars DVD again. But I was really shocked ! When our heroes are aboard the Millenium Falcon and trying to get to Alderaan, there's a guy in a green shirt behind Harrison Ford, who tries to run away from the frame, but part of his back is visible in the rest of the scene. I coludn't believe my eyes,so I grabbed the remote control and pressed the back button, and he was really there ! I cannot believe it ! I saw the movie so many times and I didn't notice it ! Of course I knew the DVD's are f*cked up (when I saw the green lightsaber for the first time I almost fell of my chair !), I noticed earlier that the stormtrooper hits his head and there are visible "boxes" around some spaceships, but this was really a bad surprise for me. Did you notice this guy before or I'm the only one blid here ?

BTW is there ANY chance that we get an error-less SW version on DVD ?(I know that a non-SE version on DVD is just a dream.) Does George Lucas at least KNOW about these errors ?

From what I've read on a ST fan site, just the full-color version of 'the cage' with the Gene Roddenberry intro was released and only on VHS.Now I'm confused...

Help: looking for... 'Star Trek - The Cage' - narrated by Patrick Stewart, & more

Hi, from what I know, there are 2 different versions of this classic pilot. The first version was a hybrid version in color with deleted scenes added to the movie in B&W. This Color / B&W hybrid was aired as a part of a special 3 hours (I think) show narrated by Patrick Stewart, which also featured a long documentary about the next generation crew. This show was very long and very good.

The second version of The Cage was released on VHS I think, it was completely in colour and had a unique Gene Roddenberry introduction.

Does anybody have at least one of these versions ? Maybe even the complete Patrick Stewart show ?
I think it would be really nice to see these things on DVD

Info Wanted: Changes in the Prequel films?
Time

Hello, my first post

I’ve got a lot of free time , so I’ve decided to re-edit the prequels (and later the OT) to match their theatrical versions.
But I need your small help here.

Episode I - I know I have to remove the “air taxi” sequence, and new shots from the podrace. But where there also any sound changes ? I have the original version recorded from TV with slovak audio, so I can compare the video changes, but not audio.

Episode II - My “tv-broadcast” VHS is identical to the official DVD . What does it mean ? I don’t believe Lucas didn’t do ANY changes to this movie. Please if you know about ANY video/audio changes for E2, please help me.

Episode III - the same.

Thanks
