Harmy that one was great :-)
Harmy that one was great :-)
I don't understand you, people. We all KNEW they are using the 2004 master, so why are you surprised ?

And that scene of Luke at the vaporator watching the battle overhead exists in color after all!
And from the same camera angles which were used on the trading cards !
Wampa attack ! Hell YEAH !

Gary Kurtz wants me to contact him and you are asking about covers! ;)
Well congratulations :-) Who's next, George himself ?
Is it possible to somehow transfer the colors of the Spanish LD to the Pyramid transfer ?
Just a stupid question - are you talking about this VHS tape, Harmy ?
Or something completely different ? Just to know what should I buy on eBay :-)

Hi, I'm a newbie, and I'm very interested in obtaining a "Droids" complete set, if and when it's finished. I'll pay anything... ANYTHING! Well, maybe not "anything," but... you know.
Please don't talk about money, it used to be prohibited here

Just a quick update, I have been collecting a few more sources for Droids. Primarily tracking down a decent un-edited copy of Coby.
I think that I finally have a decent copy in hand. It is the original ABC airing with commercials. I now have the original Droids bumpers as well as the 'Droids and Ewoks Adventure hour' bumpers and ending (Don't have the Adventure Hour intro).
Ringwraith and I are currently parsing through all of our sources to try and find the best of the best to compare with what everyone else has. As well as fixing any video defects.
So how did the transfers go for Video Collector and Pittrek?
I am not unfortunately in contact with Video Collector anymore :-( I received last mail from him in March.
2 words - Natalie Portman
Wow, thanks
OK so which credits are from the REAL THEATRICAL version ?
Hm, the pilot episode discussion is very interesting.
I have a PAL 4:3 fullscreen DVD with the ORIGINAL cut of The Gathering, and the funny thing is that I've been searching for a VERY long time for the special edition on DVD :-)

The documentary was also on the USA release without burned in subtitles.
Once upon a time it was on the dark jedi special edition v1 bonus disc i think, long ago my copies succumbed to rot.
Have to see if it is on the editdroid collection but i don't think it is, those are oot not special edition.
As I wrote on page 1 it's on one of the OCP discs :-)
Didn't Queen have some legal problems when they used Darth Vader on some of their shows ?

Personally I think it's simply a poorly written, poorly directed and poorly edited boring movie with poor special effects and REALLY bad action sequences
Ah, c'mon. Now you're just nitpicking ;-(
There is not a single special effect shot which would look believable. The good thing is they at least TRIED to fix the Rancor sequence for the 2004 DVD, but it still looks fake

OCP captured it and released it on one of his DVDs, I think on Special Edition Hype
Aaa .. Is adywan banned ???
Ah... so nothing for a torrent or rapidshare guy :-(
Can I ask WHERE was it uploaded ? Sorry if I missed something :)
Dark Jedi, you are great
Krycek87 - the admin of myspleen wrote that he will create an account for every originaltrilogy.com member who asks him for it :-)
Hey Zion or anybody else can you use myspleen for the upload ? Not everybody can use newsgroups :-)
I'm just watching it for the first time. It doesn't looks THAT good on a HD TV but still looks better than the official thing to me :-)

The 2006 DVDs don't include the theatrical versions, but the 1993 laserdisc versions. They have a new audio mix (from 1993), different color timing, different editing (missing frames) ... The SW DVD is actually a merge of the 1993 laserdisc version with a 1977 theatrical opening crawl.
To call a few missing frames lost when making the telecine for "different editing" is very misleading. IIRC the '93/"GOUT" telecine is the one that have the most frames intact out of all SW-releases on video so far.
You're of course correct. For somebody who is not an native English speaker it is sometimes a problem to find the correct English terms :-) That's why I added the "missing frames" part
