I was originally expecting a colour-corrected 2004 version, but all the reviews made me feel very excited. Until today :-(
I seriously hope these Chinese guys have only some "work in progress" version, the one which was source for the original trailer but I am VERY pessimistic :-(
I never thought I will EVER say this, but I want a color-corrected special edition and I'll be happy.

It's probably "inappropriate" for their forums...but, as I stated, we talk about that on the Madonna forums all the time. Once she's dead, things will change. I'm not wishing death on anyone. I'm just stating my opinion of what will happen.

Puggo - I have seen Star Wars first time in the 80's on a very very very very high generation VHS with I think polish voiceover. I have seen the VHS tape many, many times during my childhood before I lost (or taped over) it. The Biggs scene was for me always an integral part of the movie. After I went to the cinema to see the '97 SE I found out which scenes were altered / added to the SE. I was surprised to find the Biggs scene on the list, because for me the scene was always the part of the movie. I thought that they actually EDITED it for the SE, because what I remembered was LONGER. It's only after I downloaded the EditDroid bootleg that I realised that this scene was NOT in the "official theatrical version".
I also remember a short "handshaking" scene between Luke and "Wedge" at the rebel hangar briefing room after the part where Luke admits he used to shoot "wamprats" (?) .
When I came here a few years ago, everybody claimed that's just mixed memories, but the only thing I read was the novel, I never read the comic book, and I heard the radio drama just once, and it was only a few years ago

regarding the deleted scenes :
I've now seen many of the Original Trilogy deleted scenes. No... I can't tell you much about them (believe me, that drives me as crazy as it does you). But I was pretty surprised by them and in a good way. What I can tell you is that they are substantial - at least for the Original Trilogy. This isn't just dribs and drabs stuff - it includes long sequences. And they're extremely cool. Frankly, for me this is the real draw of the entire BD release. As you've seen in some of the teaser clips Lucasfilm has released, they're not pristine, but most of them are in HD - at least the Original Trilogy clips. And trust me, they're well worth seeing. It's stuff some of you have wanted to see in good quality since 1977, along with a few things fans may not have known even existed.

Some of you may recall that on the 2004 DVD, when the X-Wings begin their dive down to the Death Star, the familiar John Williams trumpet fanfare was buried in the mix so you could barely hear it. No longer! The trumpets ring true in the Blu-ray mix loud and clear. When I heard this, I couldn't help thrusting my arms up in the air in a bit of happy relief. I then turned to Matt (Wood), who as it happens was standing right next to me, and saw him give a little smile and nod - he knew exactly what I was reacting to. When I leaned over to thank him for fixing it, his simple reply made me smile as well: "Trust me, I read the blogs too..."

The best voted comments are personal insults on Adywan, and all comments which defend him are hidden, because they "received too many negative votes". The interesting thing is that most of the people (actually ALL which I checked till now) have registered on youtube ONLY to write these insults. Could these guys be LFL employees ? Any ideas ?
