Help Wanted: Is here some CG artist with some free time?
Time

I feel weird but how can I download from 4shared? I click on download, and some new popup window with lots of crap opens, I close it and then I see that in the original window I have now 2 links, 1 "priority download" and 1 "free download".

I don't have an account, so I click "free download". Firefox freezes after this step, and Chrome opens a new popup, where I should choose if I want to download via Facebook, Google+, Instagram or Twitter or that I should register via email.

Is that normal? I remember I used to download stuff from there for free some years ago, now I have to "download via" some social network (which I don't have and don't want)? Or am I just missing the obvious solution?

I've checked the youtube video, and unfortunately it's wrong. You can see from the reaction of the woman that the landspeeder should fly to the  bottom right, because that's where she turns her head to screaming "I told you kinds to slow down"

And yes, thanks a lot for your time and willingness to help!

I’d need 3 things (no matter how crude)

  • the Star Destroyer fighting with Tantive 4, as seen via Luke’s binoculars (which could be used for enhancing the “Luke cleans the moisture vaporator” scene from E4)

  • Luke in his landspeeder flying from the top right corner to the bottom left corner (which could be used for putting into the deleted scene where he almost runs over the old lady on Tatooine)

  • a small CG wampa jumping from snow and being blasted by the probe droid (we have the scene in animatic)

Anybody here knows how to do these 3 shots? Or did somebody already create these 3 shots?

Help: looking for... 'Star Trek - Beyond First Contact: The Making Of'

This site is a good resource.

Details on the specials can be found under miscellaneous.

I really want to see the 30th anniversary Trek tv special, as reviews I've read made it out to be SWHS level bad. They did a sketch mixing Voyager with the cast of Fraiser!

It's pretty bad. Saxophone solos, clips from the shows, the "funny" Voyager parody ... Pretty boring, the 25th anniversary is soooo better

1 DVD movie? Which "one" do you mean - The Gathering? (technically the pilot, but it has 2 different versions, one served as pilot, the second one released on home video as a standalone film) In the beginning? Thirdspace? River of Souls? A Call To Arms? (technically a pilot to Crusade) The Legend of the Rangers - To Live and Die in Starlight? (technically a pilot to The Legend of the Rangers - unproduced spinoff) The Lost Tales? (technically a pilot to another unproduced spinoff)

Yeah the way Warner Brothers treats B5 is a disgrace.  It didn't become as big as Star Trek after five years so they just gave up on it and now the show is slowly dying.

Didn't it get a spin-off, and a couple DVD movies?

The only spin-off was cancelled by JMS after the studio constantly wanted more violence and more sex. Two pilots for other spinoffs exist, none of them was green lit. The DVD movies suck

Here's a more extended clip of the duel sequence, including Leia and Lando.

This is a 1080p Clip:

=====================================================

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k1nZxPlqCNx4K47X4IM

We will be posting the other parts shortly.

Notes:

---------------------------------

1. Unlike the previous 720p preview, this is a newer version with some improvements in the scan.

2. Not all members of the group have all the same files, due to the huge file sizes. I only had the previous preview originally, so that's why it was was lower resolution. Maybe the other member you refer to had a better quality one.

3. We have multiple prints. The previous clip was from a faded Kodak print, this one is a mix of that and a Fuji print used as the basis for a DCP that was screened privately.

4. We also have another faded partial fuji print. This was used for filling in missing frames.

5. We will also have a much higher quality fujicolor print coming in the future. There is also talk and rumor of an LPP print, but we are looking into that.

6. NONE of these clips have ANY clean up or restoration work done on them. These were merely test scans done to guage their quality. We are still quite aways from working on this film.

7. Color correction was done on all clips, unless otherwise stated as such.

I absolutely love what I see. in this sample. Even if you would release the movie in this condition I'd be happy

Info: Star Wars unseen - to find all deleted scenes from all 6 Saga movies

the sources of them are:

empire of dreams

clapperboard

sp fx:making of the empire

michel parbot´s the making of the empire

german making of the empire

watch them closely and you will find many little deleted scenes.

Well this goes far beyond what I originally had in mind, but it's definitely worth thinking about. Do you have the german "Making of Empire" and Parbot's documentary?

Also, you seem to watch documentaries more often than I, maybe you'll be able to help me with one thing. Years ago when I first had an idea about doing this, I've seen "some" documentary about Empire. When they came to the scene where the wampa catches Luke, I remember clearly the documentary had MORE lines of Luke's monologue before the wampa arm through him off the tauntaun. I always thought it was the standard SPFX documentary but when I watch it now the extra lines are not there. I thought of course I just imagined them (I've seen the documentary years ago), but now that we have the ebook footage we have the proof that Luke had more lines. Unfortunately the footage is silent. Do you have any idea which documentary could have these "extra lines"?
