Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)
Time

What is the goal of Harmy's re-creations?

- To create versions of the movies which are as close to the theatrical versions as possible

Do the theatrical versions have rounded corners?

- Yes, they do.

So what the f*** are you arguing about?

BTW I'm pretty sure 99% of those who complain didn't notice it until they read it here

Here you can find all found changes done specifically to the 2011 release : http://plus.google.com/photos/102542760950977079734/albums/5647165429128459745?banner=pwa

 He was asking about RoTS.

It seems the following two differences may be possible, but I don't know for sure (from wikipedia):

edit: also, he said significant. So, the answer is probably no. Also, is it just me or is it impossible to put text *under* a manually added quote box like the one below?

  • The scene where Obi-Wan encounters General Grievous on Utapau and the Clone Army arrives has been altered, adding dialogue from the troopers as they land on platform
  • The scene transition from Padme's ship to Vader on Mustafar has been changed from a straight cut back to a wipe, restoring the original theatrical release.

 Shit, sorry for the confusion.

Just something for ripping.  I've had success with other DVDs with the software I have, but surprisingly I can't seem to get the deleted scenes from Episodes II and III.

That said, I'm still not able to upload my torrent to MySpleen, and I can't figure out why.  I've done everything I thought I was supposed to, and I've successfully uploaded torrents I believe four times before.  So I don't know why I keep getting "Eek! Upload error."  I'll keep trying, but I'm at work right now.  I know those who are interested are probably pretty anxious, and I do apologize.  I'll keep working on it.  Is it possible there is a size limit?  I haven't taken the time to figure that out, and it might just take some simple reading.  I'll take a look later.

EDIT: I meant to add that, if it takes long enough and you guys find good software for me, I'll go ahead and rip the DVDs and use those instead of the YouTube vids for when I finally succeed with this.

EDIT: I think I've figured out the problem: there are a few zipped files in my project.  I see that you are not supposed to have zipped files.  Perhaps MySpleen detects information in the torrent file regarding the zipped files.  I will take care of this ASAP and see if that fixes the problem.

Are you creating your torrent file with uTorrent? Because a uTorrent newer than version 3 I think generates a torrent file in a format which the myspleen tracker has a problem with, I had exactly the same problem when I shared my/our Ewoks DVDs. The solution was maketorrent (download site : http://sourceforge.net/projects/burst/files/maketorrent-2.x/Maketorrent%20v2.1/maketorrent-2.1.exe/download?use_mirror=heanet&download= )

I can rip the prequel scenes from my discs if you want, but they're PAL

Idea: Babylon 5/Crusade - Remastered

While ideally the filmed footage would be shown at full width, there are a few moments where the compositions are severely vertically cramped, implying that something else might be going on there.

It is possible that while much of the filmed footage was indeed widescreen safe, every once and a while they may have had to zoom in to filmed footage to account for missing sets, boom mics and other anomalies that might not have been noticed when shown in 4:3.

To be fair, most of this happens in the first season.

I do hope that a Blu-ray release of B5 would do something about the effects sequences and offered as an alternative, but I expect such an undertaking would be cost prohibitive without a Star Trek-like franchise juggernaut behind it.

I am watching B5 every Sunday (from DVD). I am already in the middle of season 3 and I have NEVER noticed ANY shot, which would be cropped and zoomed and it would not include any special effects or crossfades

Pittrek, do you got any source video to use on the wampa scene ???

I been making some tests with the 2004 dvd hoth intro, but it just dont look good.

 Check this video : http://r0w9cvem6e.1fichier.com/

around 10 seconds you see an animatic of how a pencil drawn black thing jumps out on the snow and then they cut to the droid blasting at it.

I was thinking about replacing the "pencil drawn black thing" with a wampa, maybe even just a small wampa head like from the shot where it attack Luke, or something.

In other words, in the current condition it's definitely not clear what the hell is going on in the scene, I'd like to make it visually understandable

Well I don't want to sound paranoid or something but I had premium accounts on several sites which were later closed down by the FBI, so I'm quite nervous about registering on YET ANOTHER share site.

Is there any chance you could upload the scene to a site where people can upload stuff without registration? For example I like using http://www.1fichier.com - quick upload, quick download, no registration required

Help Wanted: Is here some CG artist with some free time?

I feel weird but how can I download from 4shared? I click on download, and some new popup window with lots of crap opens, I close it and then I see that in the original window I have now 2 links, 1 "priority download" and 1 "free download".

I don't have an account, so I click "free download". Firefox freezes after this step, and Chrome opens a new popup, where I should choose if I want to download via Facebook, Google+, Instagram or Twitter or that I should register via email.

Is that normal? I remember I used to download stuff from there for free some years ago, now I have to "download via" some social network (which I don't have and don't want)? Or am I just missing the obvious solution?

I've checked the youtube video, and unfortunately it's wrong. You can see from the reaction of the woman that the landspeeder should fly to the  bottom right, because that's where she turns her head to screaming "I told you kinds to slow down"

And yes, thanks a lot for your time and willingness to help!

I’d need 3 things (no matter how crude)

  • the Star Destroyer fighting with Tantive 4, as seen via Luke’s binoculars (which could be used for enhancing the “Luke cleans the moisture vaporator” scene from E4)

  • Luke in his landspeeder flying from the top right corner to the bottom left corner (which could be used for putting into the deleted scene where he almost runs over the old lady on Tatooine)

  • a small CG wampa jumping from snow and being blasted by the probe droid (we have the scene in animatic)

Anybody here knows how to do these 3 shots? Or did somebody already create these 3 shots?
