There's one thing what the prequels taught me - expect NOTHING when you're going to see a movie, so you can be only pleasantly surprised.

The score is great. The Naboo palace is beautiful. The scene in II in the arena with the beast before the other Jedi came was pretty good. That's probably all

Not sure if it's my monitor or just my personal preference, but I really don't understand why did you remove the greens. Your changes make it look like a faded print and that's not a good thing IMHO

I found something interesting on the Star Trek Renegades website ( http://startrekrenegades.com/home/be-a-renegade-support-the-ongoing-internet-tv-series/ )

For reasons we are not able to disclose, CBS cannot move forward with Star Trek Renegades at this time – or any Star Trek series for that matter.

I always thought CBS owns the rights to Star Trek TV shows and Paramount owns the rights to Star Trek movies. Any ideas what can be the reason why CBS can't do any Star Trek series?

I don't think it's something he would make up, so he knows something, and has shared it and he's obviously excited about it too.

A Very Warm person is John Landis.

 While I would never call Landis a "nice guy" (especially after the Twilight Zone incident) but I really hope he's correct.

OK, so I'll be the critical one.

The colours look pretty good, but the whole video is so dark... even the blacks look crushed.

The motion is "weird". There's even some motion smearing, I hope that's the correct term. It's nowhere as bad as the GOUT but it's pretty annoying. And I didn't notice it in further scenes.

Owen and the stuff behind his back - what's going on ? In some shots it appears like Owen's stable, but the background behind him is "dancing", in other shots the background looks almost like a static painting. In the "he doesn't exist anymore" shot  the whole picture is "weaving", just like in the shot where Luke wants to go to the academy.

The shot of the two suns the white sun is shaking. It's extremely annoying.

The rest is pretty much great.

"re-release"? When were the original versions released on home video? With the original theatrical timing, cropping, sound mixes? Did I miss something?

The TOS movies were great. The TNG movies were "acceptable" and the JJ movies were an illogical dumb mess

Congratulations to both you (for finishing the project) and your son (to have finally the same experience as millions of people have had over the years) and I just hope I'll be able to see it one day :-)

What about The Fellowship of the Rings? There was a car visible in one shot in the distance, which was removed from the home video releases AFAIK

I remember exactly when I realised the prequels suck.

Episode 1 - the "there is always a bigger fish" scene. I remember thinking - holy shit, this is a Star Wars movie, why the only feelings I feel are boredom and disgust? I felt disgusted always when Jar Jar or Anakin opened their mouths , and bored the rest of the time. This was the time when I realised this is not going to be the master piece I expected. I remember talking with my brother, he thought it was OK, but "only OK". The only thing I remembered from the movie was Natalie Portman, not because she gave a good performance, but because I thought she will be hot when she will grow a pair of boobs. I still can't understand why some people like Qwai Gong Bong or the red faced gymnast, they were exactly as boring as rest of the movie.

Episode 2 - I've seen it let's say it politely "intoxicated" and with my girlfriend, who liked kissing in public places, so I thought the movie was great, at least the scenes I remembered. A few years later when I've seen the DVD for the first time sobre I couldn't remember why I liked the movie. Some of the action scenes are good, but all of them were too long and too fake looking.

Episode 3 - I didn't expect absolutely anything, and that's exactly what I received. I was bored from the first shot. CGI ships firing CGI lasers on other CGI ships in CGI space with CGI droids and CGI clone troopers. Then we cut to a CGI set where CGI Dooku and CGI droids fight CGI Jedis. Then we got a million of boring talking scenes shot. Then we cut to the first comedy scene - "Anakin, join the dark side", "No", "Join the dark side", "OK, fuck off Samuel Jackson !". Then Anakin went to another CGI set where he killed with a CGI lightsabre some CGI aliens and one rubber masked alien, then an extremely long and extremely boring fight sequence which felt like it took 4 hours (similar to the podrace in episode 1). Then another funny scene happened when Anakin was burning alive and Obiwan was yelling at him that he loved him as a brother. Then another funny scene where we were told that Natalie died because she was bored  or something and then the last funny scene, with a tiny guy in a Darth Vader Halloween costume pretended he was Frankenstein's monster and yelled Nooooooooooo.
I don't get it, was this supposed to be a comedy?

Oh, yes, I thought they did something with the full body costume, I completely forgot this change

Seriously? Which scene are we talking about?

Because the OT characters used English or at least English sounding names? At least that's what I always imagined
