Star Wars Scores and Releases - a general discussion thread
Time

This is so confusing. I hadn’t realized Disney did a 2018 reissue with new mixes after Sony did the big LP boxset which was from the album versions. I never got the Sony release and now regret it I suppose.
The video indicates that there’s a new remaster and restoration of the complete film scores…but the 2018 disney cds with the same art have the same old track listings as the LPs and no bonuses. And this video is from this year…

Send me a PM and I may be able to help you out there with acquiring a backup copy of the ‘The Ultimate Digital Collection(as you already own have the 2018 set) - a small token of appreciation for your all your projects, efforts, and quality and insightful posts on here. 👍

2025 Edit: someone kindly pointed me I to a new better quality copy of this set online, on the archive.

A little more info on the 89-track 2016 release by Sony (4+ hours, ~8.8gb total; with tracks available in both flac or mp3 format)

Not enough time for Lampard there - and hard to see why Chelsea went for Tuchel to replace him… time will tell, I suppose.

Given the money spent on new players at Chelsea of late it’ll be interesting to see if Tuchel has been given immediate funds to to bring in a few of his own players as well - or if he will have to ‘sell to buy’ (in the summer).

How do you think Tuchel will fare, Stardust1138?

Chelsea vs Wolves, in a few minutes should be a decent game.

I love it - probably the best Star Wars film since Empire for me, and I can happily sit back, re-watch and still enjoy it any time.

Though I’d still love to see the version of the film before the re-shoots - or even the many discarded & unused / alternative scenes…

If the pilots aren’t nice in any film I will more than likely dislike that movie! Airplane rules!

Have a look around the many Rogue One threads & recently in the ‘Unpopular Opinion’ thread on here… and you’ll find there are a number of others that also dislike Rogue One - though they have probably explained what it is that they disliked about it… 😉

Hiya, this sounds amazing! Can I get a link to this please?

didn´t read what bobson and jaison said?incredible…

Unfortunately it is not just in this thread either.

Project threads are becoming filled with countless such requests - disrupting the flow of discussion about the project themselves, further ideas, and feedback etc occurring in these threads.

Many members pop in to a large number of these quality threads - upon seeing a project thread has been bumped - thinking there may be some new additions to the work, or a new alternative take, maybe that it has inspired someone else to do something similar, or perhaps news of a new version. Perhaps continuing a chat about the techniques and software used, read a new review or feedback, other members’ ideas and suggestions - or just a good conversation on the topic at hand etc… Alas, no… it is yet another ‘can I have a link?’ request post…

…despite being asked not to make such requests by the project creator.

(though it is perfectly okay for those project creators who ask for such requests to be made in their threads).

It seems some people cannot be bothered to read through a project thread anymore to read up on how to obtain it…

Or this… I have found a Fan Edit / Preservation I am interested in - but don’t know how to get / acquire / download it?

^ from the ‘How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com thread in the General Assistance section - as well as being linked to in many places around the OT•com.

Help: Where to start with a Star Wars collection?
Time

You’re gonna need a bigger shelf! 😉

There have been many differing releases of Star Wars films over the years - some of which can be found here (copied & pasted from another thread)

For information on the various home releases of Star Wars over the years, these may be of some interest:-

Video Collector’s superb & informative ‘Star Wars on Video’ resource website (with images and info)

projectcclarke’s quality & insightful ‘Star Wars On Home Video Reference Site(with images and info)

DavisDVD•com’s Information Pages on OT VHS & DVD releases (from 1982 to 2004) - SW : ESB : ROTJ : Misc

Nathan P Butler’s youtube channel is also a great resource for near-on all of the Star Wars releases over time (and more!)

^ As you can see… there are Super 8, CED, VHD, PVD, Video tapes (VHS, Betamax, V2000), laserdiscs, VCD, DVD, blu ray, 3D blu ray, steelbooks, 4K UHD - with some formats having had multiple releases.

And then you get into the Holiday Special, the OT Radio Dramas, the two theatrical Ewok films, the two Droids and Ewoks animated series, 2003 Clone Wars, 2008’s The Clone Wars theatrical film, the 2008 The Clone Wars series, Rebels, Resistance, the Prequel Trilogy, the Sequel Trilogy, Rogue One, Solo, the various ‘Lego: Star Wars’ releases, and then… if any of the new Disney+ series and films get an eventual official physical release too.

Or even the very unlikely - yet still possible - future physical releases for the likes of Star Wars content such as Detours, Force Of Destiny, Galaxy Of Adventures, Roll Out and even maybe the Lego Star Wars: Holiday Special.

And probably some other Star Wars releases I’ve forgotten to mention in here too!

Good luck with what you decide to add to your collection 👍

The Show off your Star Wars Collection (This is the place… let’s see it already) thread in the Toys & Memorabilia (and Collecting) section may be of some interest and help to you.

Personally, it may be an idea starting off with releases that mean something to you personally - or that you like the look of the artwork etc - and going from there. Many of these releases can be sourced quite cheaply; with a fair bit of patience (and good fortune). Though some releases are harder to find and can cost a little more to acquire…

Hi Pakka - try refreshing the page mate, or clearing your browser cache.

For many who upload an avatar (or update their avatar) on here… they won’t see that change on the main site until this is done.

If you are using a windows based operating system, press the ‘F5’ key. Or hold down the ‘CTRL’ key and then press the ‘F5’ key.

If you are using an apple based operating system, from the menu bar in Safari, choose View > Reload Page. Or press Command-R.

If the following web page is kept up to date, it should be of some help (for mobile devices too): www.wikihow.com/Refresh-a-Page
