So apparently the JFK files are a thing but not really a thing?

I am stunned 😉

There are some interesting things to come out of the release so far - like the British journalist receiving a heads-up ‘for some big news’ 25 minutes before the assassination occurred:-

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/oct/27/jfk-files-british-paper-got-anonymous-call-just-before-assassination

yet still not the… erm… smoking gun…

Well in, Warbler - and dahmage too.

Lads, the wall of sighs was a bit much - however it is understandable as no-one gave Warbler a straight heads-up as to his question re Garland - instead it was seemingly just joke replies, which were replied to in-kind - and then followed by the bunny, and then it escalates further…

Sometimes it pays to help your fellow posters out, and in turn, help yourselves out too - this is a community after all.

Instead, here we are a few pages on still talking about this - with tempers frayed, people pissed off with each other, going in circles.

Meanwhile there is actually some interesting events taking place in politics across the world right now…

Please stay on topic - thank you.

‘Catalan parliament declares independence from Spain’…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-41780116

and in response…

‘Spain imposes direct rule after Catalonia votes to declare independence’…

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/oct/27/spanish-pm-mariano-rajoy-asks-senate-powers-dismiss-catalonia-president

Given the violence that occurred during the recent independence vote in Catalonia, things in Spain could get very messy…

I’m saying that I didn’t even realize it was a change in the first place because I played Rogue Squadron 20 years ago so I figured it had always been kosher. I never read these manuals.

Ah, the V-Wing - with Cluster missiles 😃

Star Wars Despecialized Editions - Custom Bluray Set (Released)
Time

Solkap, a very kind member of the community on here, has made available the njvc Custom BluRay Set of Harmy’s Despecialised Edition up on Mega.

For more info - http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/NJVC-Custom-Bluray-Set-of-Harmys-Despecialized-Editions-now-available-on-Mega/id/57042/page/1

Well in to solkap for doing so, and not only for getting permission from both njvc and Harmy beforehand, but for also putting together a quality and useful guide on how to acquire them - and also on how to burn them to disc too.

The Despecialized Editions are still available in their original format - with details on how to acquire them - in Harmy’s 1st post of each of his threads linked to below…

What is the point in making such an edit when its distribution is extremely limited? Why use an invite only file sharing site?
It could have easily been given an alternate title to deter removal from sites.

As you can tell from the 1st post of this thread this Edit is approximately 10 years old, and if you were to click on the username of the author to this thread you will see that, unfortunately, he/she hasn’t logged into this site for two years now.

The answers you seek are likely to remain… unanswered.

I suggest reading through the thread to find if anyone has a copy - and politely asking them if they know how you could acquire it.

Good luck with it 😃

Difference between the theatrical versions and the first VHS home releases?
Time

😃

I think Chris has done some work on that - and EyeShotFirst too - though both sets were for dvd covers - though may be of some help/use…

http://originaltrilogy.com/post/id/1077362

(with this TFA cover, also by EyeShotFirst, to match them - http://originaltrilogy.com/post/id/1075676)

and Chris’ work (the '92 set)- http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Star-Wars-1992-VHS-styled-DVD-covers/id/18239

edit: tommyauck also did a set too ('90 set) - http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/DVD-Version-of-1990-VHS-Box-Set/id/48408

Dark empire looks like vomit…so your judging of visual styles are questionable at best

Well… no… this is great comic art! Especially if you look at the release year.
I always love Cam Kennedys drawings. And I think you should be more polite!

Lord Tobias has been given some time off from this site due to posts like that from him - hopefully, upon his return, he will indeed be a lot more polite.

I don’t remember any of my US sets having squished crawls they were all P&S. I had the late 80s/early 90s set with the yellow logos, and then the 95 Faces set after that.

This set?:-

Absolutely love the artwork used on that - think I must have worn those tapes out constantly playing them back then 😃

I think the above set came out in 1990, with a Letterbox Edition set released 2/3 years later - with some different artwork/colouring of text on the back covers.
