I was only expressing my opinion, for which I explained the underlying reasons several times in the past. I do not see the point of explaining the same reasons to the people who are already familiar with them whenever I want to repeat my opinion. Especially since whenever I do restate my reasons behind my opinion I get these kind of responses:
http://originaltrilogy.com/post/id/1056497

If you don’t see the point of explaining (or repeating) your reasons as to your opinions then I suggest you keep those opinions (which you certainly don’t mind repeating) off this site.

You have been asked to explain your reasons - if you choose not to, or don’t see the point in doing so, then that is on you - do not deflect that onto others.

TFA was pure shit. So one can reasonably say that just about anything is better than TFA.

You’re on thin ice, my friend.

As previously stated to you - and others…

'If you are here to bait or antangonise fellow forum members for having an a different opinion of a movie than yourself - an opinion on which you repeatedly try to declare as some sort of fact - then I suggest you, and anyone of the same mindset, stop.

Having a differing opinion, explaining why, talking about it, and exchanging views is great and to be encouraged - what you seem to repeatedly be doing here is far-removed from this.

You’re much better than that - please start posting like it.’

I strongly suggest you take the time to explain why your views are what they are - as Mala, John Doom and others of this community of diverse opinons do.

I’m not going to warn you again.

Very cool logo Dazman - nice work, and very much with a Star Wars vibe 😃

Thanks oojason! Can’t take the full credit for the design though, it’s a mod from one of the logos in the add campaign. I just don’t understand why they didn’t use one of those as they are better than the final one.

Well, all I can say is… your insight serves you well…

(hard to go wrong with that classic yellow colour, a decent Star Wars vibe and feel on the font and look…

This is a very interesting podcast taking a deep dive into the score. I thought I’d posted it already, but damn if I can find it. Anyway, very interesting stuff. I suspect I wasn’t the only one who felt\heard the cues back to the 1977 masterpiece of Williams, which I wore out the summer of 77 (and for all the years since). We’ve all heard the 77 score thousands of times probably, so I enjoy hearing analysis of the score. It’s an hour long, with the music examples starting around 15 minutes in.

http://www.rebelforceradio.com/shows/2016/12/21/star-wars-oxygen-vol-38-rogue-one-part-1

Just got around to listening to that - some interesting views on the score and the film itself - with a fair few good points re the limited time Michael Giacchino had to come up with the whole thing, and also his inspirations and takes from previous themes (especially '77 Star Wars, cough… Obi Wan in the hut, et al 😃) as well as contributing his own.

Cool stuff on the voice work too!

Really enjoyed it - cheers mate 😃

What printers does everyone use for printing discs and artwork?
Time

Chris - I think you setting the image to ‘fit the page’ may have caused the sizing issue (or could be an issue if Staples’ printer was set to this setting too?)

If the printer has a ‘scale setting’ feature (not all do) - make sure it is set to ‘off’ or at 100%.

I usually set the margins on images that I print to 0.5cm on all sides just be sure too 😃 (when I used to print covers I copy the image to MS Word and do a black & white draft quality print - just as a test print to ensure I it correctly sized)

If you have any independent printers or copy shops near you that do this kind of service I’d recommend you try them - in general, I find the people at independent print places will likely have more knowledge / experience than those at Staples.

Good luck with it mate - and let us know how you get on 😃

The myth that the Tories are the party of sensible finances is blown to pieces in a Tory newspaper of all places : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2017/10/15/britains-missing-billions-revised-figures-reveal-uk-490bn-poorer/

A surprising article that from The Telegraph - one of the proponents, along with the right-wing tabloids, that perpetuated the myth - the lie - that the Tories were to be trusted with the finances of the country…

The tide is turning - and even their own supporters acknowledge they can’t keep on deflecting the blame (incorrectly) onto the last Labour Govt of 7 years ago now.

They have nowhere to go - no-one else to blame, no-one to point the finger at - no-one but themselves.

May should really call another election - under her not-so ‘strong and stable’ leadership - if she truly believes what she had done, and is doing, is the best the UK can hope for.

The funny thing about that is one is that the original painting actually used a different picture of Leia to paint than the mock-up does… but it’s still from ESB. Makes me wonder if it was some sort of weird creative decision to have all 3 posters have images from the other films.

Aye, personally I think it’s an awful set of cover art when comparing to many of the quality previous releases - and also when comparing with some superb custom covers on here and other places.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

Please don’t quote a long post of pictures unless you have something to comment on about each individual picture.

Quoting a long post of pics and then putting a short generic sentence at the end really isn’t on - nor is quoting a long post of pics and then only commenting on one picture.

Thank you.

When Vader’s shuttle is landing in the second DS there is a scaffolding struture on the left side of it, but then in the next close up shot of the shuttle it’s no longer there.

When R2 plays Luke’s holographic message to Jabba, Luke’s lightsaber is shown clipped to the right side of his body. Then before the message ends a brief shot of Luke’s hologram is visible showing his lightsaber clipped to the left side of his body indicating that in all previous shots of Luke before the one with the message ending, Luke’s holographic image was flipped.

NOTE: In the film Luke keeps his lightsaber clipped to the left side of his body (this is also true in TESB).

During R2’s holographic message of Luke to Jabba, in the shot showing Jabba and Bib Fortuna then panning down to Salacious Crumb the smoke coming from Jabba’s pipe is going inward and the bubbles in the bong are flowing downward indicating that this shot was played in reverse.

In the scene when “Leia” pulls out the thermal detonator in front of Jabba, the shots showing Boba Fett during this are flipped due to his helmets antenna being on the left side.

On Jabba’s sail barge when Luke is shot on his mechanical hand by a blaster the injury from the shot is already visible on his hand before he’s even shot and when he is shot he’s actually shot on the sleeve.

good catch.i never see this.

Mate, I suggest you don’t 😃

I’d ask you please go back and remove the block of pics you quoted too - there is really no need to quote all those pics just to post one generic sentence - on the same page.

Thanks.

A Star Wars USB Drive - <em>Box, Case, Tape, Tin, Frame, Figure &amp; Cover</em> Thread...
Time

I’ve noticed the price of the official Star Wars USB Drives (in the shape of the characters) have dropped recently…

http://www.ebay.com/bhp/star-wars-usb

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=star+wars+usb

It seems that a 16gb USB drive in the shape of Vader, Yoda, R2, BB8, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Maul and all - go for around $10 - new with free delivery, a 32gb version for a couple of $'s more, and a 64gb version for around $20…

They look quite fun & decent on the shelf next to the vhs, dvd, bluray cases and other Star Wars releases etc - also serving as a back-up device too - and obviously they don’t require any boxes, cases or printing of ink at all…

just a few examples…

Oh dang, so it’s really the special edition? Dang. I did want them but now I won’t have the OOT until I order again.

I find this site is a very good resource for identifying various releases down the years:-

http://www.swonvideo.com/

(it’s also run by our very own Video Collector)

and fellow posters on here should be able to help with any questions you may have about sets you may be interested in (as to whether it is a OOT or a ‘Special Edition’ release etc).
