So this happened in what, 2016. Its still not available at any source that the common non 12yo person has time to try to access?! I haven’t been on myspleen since…2007? 08? When all of these pussy repositories went private in the late oughts what did it accomplish? Nothing but closing off access because I never ran into too many normies there to begin with. If THEY want them shut down they will be shut down. You don’t think that all of the posts across the internet saying what copyrighted property was available where is enough to get these things destroyed? I don’t belong to any private trackers so how do I even attempt to sign up to blutopia etc. This is all very shortsighted. Frankly these things should be spread across the web so they have a better chance of surviving the inevitable destruction of these dinosaur sites. There are multiple scans of Song of the South on internet archive for crying out loud. Man up zoomer-boomer internet, the only ppl that fall into these cliques on the internet are 12/55yos. Even this site does the thing where “oh, we don’t post things that these companies can use to take us down” but…you allow ppl to collect money to scan films to distribute them? You know ppl have been caught up in a lot of legal problems for less than that right? Why can’t the scan just have a nice searchable name and file size attached to it and ppl can find them where they may. Its 4 years later and this shit is still unfindable. Very sad, boomers.

Strange… especially as looking through this thread members on here have helped fellow members acquire this Edit - and also even pointing out it is available publicly on usenet. So not quite ‘unfindable’.

It seems you did not try PM’ing the thread creator / Editor to see what options there are on how to acquire this?

Nor did you read the Welcome to the OT.com; Introduce yourself in here thread - where a lot of useful info and helpful links are located.

Though you did fancy having a rant instead…

And alienating the helpful members on here who would have likely provided you with assistance in finding this Edit… probably to the point your rant may have made them think twice about doing so.

Strange that these ‘dinosaur sites’ and ‘pussy repositories’ have been around so long - and are still going strength to strength…

Good luck on your lengthy quest in finding and acquiring the Edit - and whatever ‘normies’ are too.

Sorry if I’ve not been up with recent discussions, but what was broken about Holdo’s hair being purple?

Nothing mate.

Though some may want to tackle it as a technical challenge / exercise (apparently it is quite a difficult, labour-intensive task to to do - and get right).

Others don’t like the Holdo character and wish to make changes to her.

An aesthetic choice - some seemingly don’t like (through to some not being able to stand) people having purple hair in their Star Wars space opera / fantasy films.

A few have problems that the purple hair meant that the Holdo character was a lesbian; an oft-mentioned comment when making racist, sexist, homophobic or other derogatory comments on other female characters in the Sequels too.

I like to think most on here doing this change for Edits see it as an aesthetic choice or a technical exercise / challenge…

New poster from Germany (I think). It looks painted which looks really pretty!

Ooooooh - does anyone have this in higher res? I can’t find it anywhere. Definitely the one that’s going to be used on my custom BR cover if I can find it in decent quality.

It is also one of the TROS IMAX posters mate - so should be more available in a higher res (and in English), soon:-

Not only did she steal scenes in Penny Dreadful - she stole the whole show.

My taste is fine, thanks. I find there is usually more to finding something beautiful than just the physical or ‘superficial’. YMMV.

Huh - I wonder who that is… cool video 😃

The RetroBlasting youtube channel… looks a good watch!

Their Kenner SW videos are really fun, especially the “Star Wars follies” series.

They made a really good video recently talking about how the Spitfire inspired the X-Wing;
https://youtu.be/eKeZxupUSaA

Ireland is great from the sky - though better whilst in a good cozy pub - before finding your way to the next one, and then the next… 😉

Edit: was this the X Wing inspired by the Spitfire video, mate?:-

^ I’m not up to up speed on COPPA - what are they planning to do in 2020 that they have not done so far mate?

As for people sharing the same interests online - have you checked the various reddits, facebook & twitter groups for like-minded people? (older forums are great too - though some are not easily found via online search engines these days; sometimes it is not the forum themselves - but links and sources of info provided within)

In real life, try easing people into your interest - introduce the subject butlet them find their own way and make their own thoughts - and talk about it with them… hopefully it may become more of an interest to both them and you.

The Mandalorian : a Radical Redux Fan Edit Ideas thread
Time

A thread for posting any and all ideas pertaining to editing of Star Wars’ first live action tv show - The Mandalorian…

As the thread title states - this thread will contain spoilers for the live-action streaming series from Disney+… so if you don’t want to be spoiled with events and content from episodes of the show - do NOT scroll down any further - this thread is not for you.

Should be interesting to see how this goes - given it has received mainly positive feedback and reviews (even on here! 😃) - and there are only eight episodes for the first season of the show…

A higher-quality version of the edit is now available on MySpleen! Check it out!

Can you send me an invite please? 😃

EDIT: Just read they were closed, nevermind 😦 Anyone know if there’s somewhere I can find the edit without the YouTube audio issues?

I also want to find this edit. I have searched through torrent sites, fan edit sites, star wars blogs, et cetera. Right now, the fan edit is removed from YouTube, so I cannot even watch that version.

Hi xakvd, the Welcome to the OT.com; Introduce yourself in here thread - as well as a number of other threads on here - has the information you seek… ‘How to acquire a project’ - and much more info too…

Please take the time to read it, get a feel for this place etc - and good luck with it.

Unusual Sequel Trilogy Radical Redux Ideas Thread
Time

A quick reminder that the Star Wars Preservation and Star Wars Fan Edit sections of the site are NOT the places to bash on certain eras or aspects of the films, actors, film-makers or owners.

Critiquing a scene in the Star Wars Fan Edits section with the aim of improving it, removing it, altering it etc is perfectly fine. Statements such as ‘Disney sucks’ and ‘this film is so shit no Fan Edit can save it’ etc, is not.

Your_friendly_Imperial said:

And now he attacks the fandom for not liking his movie.

No. That is rubbish.

He has called out the toxic and offensive fans who have problems with sex, race and diversity etc - as well as those who hounded actors from the films on social media - the death threats & announcements of deaths etc - and rightly so.

He is also on record as acknowledging some fans’ genuine criticisms of the film - and has stated he has no problem with that.
