The AT-AT's foot

& Palps vid here

I used footage that Ady composited,....my audio does go out of sync a bit, but it should give you an impresion of concept,....You can hear the difference in the audio when you are prepared for it, I'm sure Ady could blend it better

J

I had forgotten about the AT-AT mockup. I really hope Ady has added that change as well.

Someone did a mockup once, using Ian McDiarmid's voice saying "Luke" from the bonus DVD A Musical Journey, from the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack. It needed to be tweaked to match better, but other than that it sounded good. I don't know if that's still in the cards, as Ady has stated before that audio is the last step, and he isn't there yet.

I don't recall this being brought up, and I do not know if Ady has already filmed the new canyon shot, but would it make sense to add a slight glow to the walls from the Millennium Falcon's blue boosters?

The only reason I ask is because I thought it actually was a cool effect to have in Attack of the Clones when Jango and Obi Wan were flying through that hole in the asteroid and their ships had lit up the area around them. Though it could be argued that since they were INSIDE an asteroid at that moment, that there would be complete darkness which helped the lighting be more visible, but the canyon in ESB is rather deep as well, so the same logic could apply. I was thinking since the shot is being recreated, perhaps it could enhance the new version a bit further.

Thoughts?

The nature of Revisited, to me, is change for the sake of quality, not change for the sake of change. That is the difference. How does changing "oomphs" and "ahhhs" add up to being something that absolutely needs to be done for ESB:R when it was fine in ESB to begin with?

I believe that some people may be just throwing out suggestions just to do it, because there really isn't anything else that Ady can do besides complete the model work and the audio, and there's very little in ESB that needed to be fixed, on the audio side.

Exactly. Then while Palpatine is in the middle of saying "no" repeatedly, show Windu lift his lightsaber in the air out of frustration, like he's going to kill him just to shut him up.

Come to think of it, I think Anakin might scream "No" somewhere around there too. The whole thing can turn into a big "no" fest

List of "No's" that could be used:

Obi-Wan's no from TPM

Qui-Gon's no from when Anakin slaughters the sand people

Darth Vader's infamous no (to signify Anakin's fall to the dark side)

and of course a repetitious no from Palpatine.

In the Pulp Fiction Star Wars clip I posted earlier in the thread, Anakin's "Nooo" is dubbed with the guy screaming "Nooo!" after being shot in the shoulder by Samuel L. Jackson. I thought it worked, but maybe not?

A pretty exciting Facebook update posted by Ady in the early hours today:

Some more good news. The problem with the Han in Carbonite castings has now been resolved, in an even better way.

The guy i had purchased the casting from finally contacted me. It seems that his personal life had interfered with his ability to finish all of the order he had (he had been moving house and had no internet amongst other things) He then said he was sending them out but still nothing arrived. He assured me that he had sent them, but city link had lost them in the system. So he sent out another set of castings last week. Well i did get them this time, but the box was badly damaged and the castings were smashed to pieces, with some sections completely missing. After informing him that i had run out of time and that i couldn't wait any longer because i needed to finish the HiC and get it filmed ASAP, he told me that he had no casting material left. But he decided that, because i had been messed about so much, that he would send me something other than just the castings of the legs and hands........

And this is what i got in the post yesterday

Wow, how generous!

I'm pumped that ESB:R is getting close to it's release finally!

There's already a sound. The question is if it needs to be changed or if it stays the same. I'm fine either way if Ady wants to edit this sound or not. For sure though, seeing some sparks, or at least a little flash, would be good..

I made a mockup and posted it at two different points of time in this thread. Once again, here is a link, just to see how it could be.

Yeah I saw the above post on facebook. You asked for no threats of physical violence... does a force choke count? I mean, that's not really touching the guy ;-)

Anyway, I was looking through some old clips and saw something that I can't recall ever being addressed...

When Capt. Needa is choked out and falls to his knees, the metal grating that his knees hit 'buckle' as he lands, indicating that the grate is not actually a hard metal surface. It's still in the clip that you posted so has or will that be changed?

I've always been bothered by that because not only does it take away how hard he seems to hit the ground but also it doesn't seem to match the low 'thud' sound effect.

I seem to recall that Ady addressed this once, but maybe my mind is making that up.

For one thing, he's not doing this just for himself. He's doing it for all to enjoy. Hence the reason why he's taken in fan input and instilling it into his edits. Nobody would go through all this trouble if they weren't. The Revisits are well known across the net and this will be his legacy when it is all said and done.

I for one, am grateful that he is generous enough to share his work with all of us. I often wonder how many personal edits of various films exist out there that are not being shared. Hell, even I'm guilty of making a few edits without putting them out there for anyone to see.

Revisited is definitely something worth appreciating on a wider scale though.

Episode IV: A Ridiculous Hope
Time

The line "you don't believe in the force, do you?" could be repeated to various force users through the trilogy, such as Obi Wan, Yoda, Darth Vader, and the Emperor.

Some examples:

Obi Wan and Luke

"Stay with the droids, they must be delivered safely to Alderaan..."

"You don't believe in the force, do you?"

Yoda and Luke:

"That is why you fail."

"You don't believe in the force, do you?"

Darth Vader and Luke:

"But you're not a Jedi yet...."

"You don't believe in the force, do you?"

The Emperor and Luke:

"Now... you will die."

(as the Emperor smiles) "You don't believe in the force, do you?"

Song that is the lure:(Because I can't think of another song that has "come back" in the lyrics right now.)

Song that is the warning:

Or just a loop of Monty Python's "run away!"?

I have an alternate idea that goes along with this particular scene, using audio from Mars Attacks.

Ok back to empire strikes back...

In the asteroid chase the tie fighters stop firing at the falcon for quite a long part of the chase is there any plans to keep the tie fighters shooting and chasing for the duration and not just chasing? They only start shooting towrds the end of the chase again.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTp8mKFxmbg

Also on scenes of the falcon manouvreing laser hits or misses on these scenes?

Perhaps some cockpit shield hit flashes also?

It as if the pursuing tie fighters are forgotten about to introduce the asteroid field and not they are being chased by tie fighters into the asteroid field.

I think it would add more continuity to the chase.

Ady at one point had added lasers to the TIEs, but for reasons I don't recall, removed them and had the scene go back to how it's always been. I assume that it's more realistic to have the TIE pilots more focused on steering to avoid the asteroids rather than use Jedi-like multitasking skills to fire lasers while dodging big space rocks.

The excuse Lucas gives for Hayden being the Force ghost is Anakin died when he became Vader which is silly because we see Anakin chat to Luke before he died but...he doesn't wear those robes when he died.

Maybe Bob or someone could make a Force ghost with Seb Shaw looking the way he did when Anakin died (wearing the Vader suit and covered in scars but smiling).

That would be ridiculous.

I did this mockup a long while back.
