...either way the SW Zone is great.
Don't know much (well really anything) about the second hand film print scene (would like to, just for the stories. do these people hang out somewhere?) but would guess from time to time one does surface in those circles. (everything else tends to) Searching through old news articles, not finding any mentions of lost/stolen/pirated prints from 1997.

may be true likly not as the tape was binned/returned/recorded over
A little confused, you've seen a TPM bootleg with timecode, or you are not sure if you are remembering correctly as you don't have access to the tape anymore? I have not heard anyone mention a TPM timecoded version. (as in workprint timecode)
Thanks satanika will update the first post with this additional info. (taking some time before tackling TCWs) Had other movies from the RotS time frame also been captured in the same way, ie DLP source? And as Molly pointed out it could be an early R5 but from a quick search through 2005 webpages, i'm not seeing many references to the R5 format in that year, the format may have started later. But not sure. *EDIT* Are there identifications that a release is of R5 origin?
Example:
Videocast on the topic and issues:

Fan reaction to the shutdown:

The speculation for the shutdown is the game had enough people still subscribed to keep the game afloat, but the licensing of SW properties is the costs which most likely sunk this ship.
Cards?! Hope those can be traded in for the DVDs!

really? where? I never heard anything about that.
Yeah, I missed it too, found out about it a week after it happened.

Return of the Jedi Movie Screening in the Park
Jun 24 8:00 pm One of our longtime supporters will be hosting a screening of “Return of the Jedi” in front of the Robert Acito Park House at 8pm on Friday, 6/24. There’s no charge, but donations to Friends of Carroll Park will be accepted. Grab some snacks and bring your Ewoks for some Star Wars under the stars!
They also showed the film last Halloween, so cross your fingers for another one this fall. I wrote them to ask what version they were showing or if it was film or just the DVDs, but haven't heard back. zombie saw an under the radar screening of a RotJ, later that same week, wondering if it's the same print.
Was the Prof Toby Rush? If yes then here's a 2009 version of this lecture:

Seems like this is part of a larger SW festival,, neeto:

This RotJ is a rare beast, most crowds don't talk back to the movie. (People do have their own conversations, unfortunately too often)
The Aluminum Falcon wrote: Hey, sorry if it's been mentioned before, but will Zion and Adywan's ROTS Theatrical Reconstructions (sourced from the ROTS telecine circulating at the time ROTS was in theaters) be included in the opening post?
No. Going from the descriptions in the posts mentioned above, since they both modified the original source, either by adding from a second source or creating from scratch additional material that's going to keep these kind of things off the list in the first post.
But will add some of the versions mentioned which hadn't been brought up earlier. RotS GTR & RotS KKi
Although aAF has been mentioned previously i've shy'd away from it as I was unsure what it was. Is aAF the same as the INTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD which might not be a DVDRip? INTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD has a file name date of 2005.06.04 which seems on the early side. .nfo:
2005-06-04
Star.Wars.Episode.III.Revenge.of.the.Sith.INTERNAL.DVDRip.XviD
some notes:
We aren't going to say where the source came from, for obvious reasons. BUT we will say this, it isn't a TC. You can tell
by the way the craft lands, the vibrations etc. It's not a retail though, it ain't far off.
Shouts out to Georgey boy.
File sizes are: 730.8mb & 729.7mb.

Wow that is wonderful. An opening day recording, and it sounds like a very festive audience. Love the boooos.

Why Star Wars Doesn't Have Canned Laughter
Not a clue from your initial description but here's some thoughts on how to further identify this item. But pics are great, so if you are able to scan or take pictures (even with a phone), they can be uploaded to a free site like imageshack.us then once hosted there, it can be put into a post.
'Perfect condition', would you say it's a mass reproduced item, maybe this could be a marketing promo item, or are you leaning towards it being one of a kind?
How did you get this item, is it authorized in some way? Many of the production people have been selling off their collections.
Another place to ask is The Star Wars Collector's Archive: http://theswca.com
(This might be all their Revenge of the Jedi items: http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_items_by&items_by=film&id=3)
Actually this sounds fairly close:

Since this thread doesn't specify a specific project idea, don't be surprised if the thread gets moved to here:

It's sounds nice, but would need to see it in action. Not sure why their review didn't show any pic examples.
^ Look at the Death Star, there's two 'layers' as it were, the top is the original frame, the lower is a compression glitch. It's easier to identify from the HD broadcast source posted a few messages after the one you quoted.
My provider offers a different program description:
Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford (1980) Yoda teaches Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi knight, and Han Solo woos Princess Leia, as Darth Vader returns to threaten the rebel forces trying to save the galaxy. (2:04). Sci-Fi [PG/TV-PG] V (hearing impared sign) ****
I would say that's a good sign, but also might mean they've changed what they are airing since they've gotten the contract.
Or could mean that who ever is in control of those blurbs on your provider is a SW fan and took the initiative and changed it, as my provider has a blurb closer to what you remember seeing and doesn't reflect that it's the Special Edition.
here's RotJ:
Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford (1983) Luke Skywalker, now an experienced Jedi knight, tries to discover Darth Vader's identity. (2:13). Sci-Fi [PG/TV-PG] L,V (hearing impared sign) *** 1/2
Question: What was the full title of the original Star Wars.
Answer: Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope
Announcer: I don't know if she's right or wrong but it sounds good.
adywan wrote: Actually there isn't really a problem with the answer given to that question. Now if it had been worded "what was the original title of the first Star Wars" then the Episode IV:A New Hope answer would have been incorrect.
Going to disagree, sure you can say the word 'original' just informs this question of which Star Wars movie to give the full title of. And that 'was' just lets the person in question choose any title which occupied any time period of the past. But if you provide the 'current' title of something to a question which asks for a past variation... But continuing on this dork asshat role I find myself in, I would have accepted Strategic Defense Initiative, since we're being all vague and shit. All in good PHUN! Heck i'll even except, Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace. TPM is number one and that makes it origin of the Star Wars Saga, the story of Darth Vader. /asshat
So i'm taking you see this kind of correspondence as something a tad over the top.
That's neeto. Rebelscum.com did a retrospective of this compaign, maybe they sourced it from this tape.
