The proportions are about 3 by 5 so 5" Height x 8" Width.

Other paper sizes can be chosen here:

They look pretty great!  Should be very easy to apply.  (Note: the sticky side is on the back of these, so this version would be stuck to the outside of a car window, or any normal surface you want to apply them to.)

The big one is 5" across.  the small one as you can see from the business card is about 2" and no significant detail loss.

Total cost: $12.30.  and it took a week.

So you can take the .ai from a page ago and get your own, or ask and I can make them bigger or smaller, depending on your needs.

In another thread came up the discussion is/was SW for kids/adults:

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/The-original-ending-of-Ponda-Baba/post/532219/#TopicPost532219

and zombie84 mentioned how the PG ratings were changed, which is one sign of them attempting to appeal to both audiences.

Here's another example of appealing to both:

http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20399642_20511617,00.html#20990635

'Star Wars': Comic-Con '76 pics!

In the photos is a one page which starts with the following quote:

[Star Wars letterhead]

"I have wrought my simple plan

If I give one hour of joy

To the boy who's half a man,

Or the man who's half a boy."

--Arthur Conan Doyle's preface to "The Lost World"

and this might be the oldest reference photo of SW out in the wild:  (but looks like a still not part of the film...)

Star Wars Blu-ray: First to feature THX Media Director

http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/41948/star-wars-blu-ray-thx-media-director

The forthcoming Star Wars Blu-rays will be the first discs to feature THX Media Director, the company's audio and video calibration metadata that tells compatible TVs, home cinema systems and projectors what settings to choose for an optimum theatre-style experience.

*OMIT*

Unfortunately, however, at present it is unlikely that you own a TV, AV amplifier or projector that can read the data. Compatible kit is not due until later this year, although major manufacturers do have products in the pipeline: "We've already announced deals with JVC, LG and Epson with their high-end projectors, and there's going to be more coming down the line," said Dean.

Haven't found a film cell, but here's one of the Theed models. (don't think it's from the shot though)  So it's not the models, the rosy could have been added through lighting.  but yes it's rosy.  ok fine it's a poor comparison.

Is this bullshit for real?

Yes Kevin Smith doesn't seem to interested in the debate.  He's out promoting his new movie.  That quote comes from:

http://starwarz.com/starkiller/2010/03/the-star-wars-from-the-adventures-of-luke-starkiller-third-draft/

Script Quote: "With an astounding agility, Old Ben’s laser-sword sparks to life and in a flash an arm lies on the floor. The rodent is cut in two and the giant, multiple-eyed Creature lies doubled, cut from chin to groin. Ben carefully and precisely turns off his laser-sword and replaces it on his utility belt. Luke, shaking and totally amazed at the old man’s abilities, attempts to stand. The entire fight has lasted only a matter of seconds. The cantina goes back to normal, although Ben is given a respectable amount of room at the bar. Luke, rubbing his bruised head, approaches the old man with new awe."

Novel Quote: "He never finished the yell. It turned into a blink. When the blink was finished, the man found himself lying prone against the bar, moaning and whimpering as he stared at the stump of an arm.

In between the start of his yell and the conclusion of the blink, the rodent-thing had been cleft cleanly in half down the middle, its two halves falling in opposite directions. The giant multiocular creature still stood staring, dazed, at the old human who was poised motionless before it, the shining lightsaber held over his head in a peculiar fashion. The creature's chrome pistol fired once, blowing a hole in the door. Then the torso peeled away as neatly as had the body of the rodent, its two cauterized sections falling in opposite directions to lie motionless on the cool stone."

Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

Hate to say it (may just be the Labor day weekend lull) but from Aug 30 - Sep 3rd there were many people writing about the SWBRs. (194 articles, 38 blogs according to news.google.com)  Sep 4th, a handful, less then 10, today one or two more.  That maybe how loud the public outcry gets.

The PT trilogy is about to go viral. (the public torrent version just tipped from 1 seed to 3, just over 1k people are on it.  according to the website page, the actual torrent is most likely different.)  The next wave of this adventure is about to arrive.

I don't have a problem with early reviews.  The Amazon system allows "everyone" to have their say, then they provide a series of tools so ones which people find useful can be sorted.  Amazon's system allows you to read ratings of a certain kind, and people can make up their own mind.  Is it disingenuous to review a product before seeing it sure, but if certain known quantities show that a future product won't live up to a certain aspiration, letting others know doesn't bother me.  There's sooo many reviews, like doritos doubt anyone reads just one.

Both Amazon and IMDB should add a system so you can view ratings over certain periods of time.  To see how time changes what people say about these items/movies/etc.

Looks like before the BR, they extended this shot a little.  Look at the wall patterns to the left of Mace's forehead.  There seems to be some cloning.  Seems to be in the HD as well.

Here's the original article:

http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/content/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=8447

I would guess it's been out of print for awhile.  The idea of moving out competing merchandise is a good marketing strategy.  People need to get their hands on the document which tells retail outlets to do this, is it a prerequisite for selling the blu-rays.  That story will be told when they start disappearing from online retailers.  And where are these items going.  If it's just landfill waste, that's well a waste and bad form.

don't be surprised in this article gets merged with the blu-ray thread, as there are multiple posts on the topic.

This site talked about a quote which might be good:

http://www.primaryignition.com/2011/09/04/blatant-insubordination-blaster-control/

During the promotion for Revenge of the Sith, prequel trilogy producer Rick McCallum said something to the effect of: “I’m convinced there won’t be a definitive version of Star Wars until George [Lucas] dies.” I remember thinking that was a bit harsh. But you know what? He’s probably right. Heck, if you’ve got the Revenge of the Sith DVD, watch his commentary on the deleted scene where Yoda arrives on Dagobah. He makes a comment about George “tinkering away” on future versions of Star Wars. Because George Lucas, among many other things, is a tinkerer.

Found the full quote in this article:

The Next Dimension
George Lucas plans 3-D versions of all six ''Star Wars'' movies -- First converted film will come out in 2007
Mar 28, 2005

''I am convinced that there will never be a definitive edition of Star Wars until George dies — he will keep tinkering right up until the very end,'' says series producer Rick McCallum. ''It's a nightmare I had many months ago: I'll wake up at 80 years old in my wheelchair with George and his daughter calling me saying, 'Rick, we're looking for the sound elements from Episode II. Can you come up to the ranch?' And I woke up in a cold sweat.''

Harmy wrote: I'm afraid there is indeed something wrong with those screens none, they seem to have increased brightness (this is clearly visible on the black bars), which I'm sure isn't the case with the HDTV captures.

I've read about some broadcasts using the color safe palate of 16-235 instead of the full range 0-255.  Don't have a confirmation if this German'07 is indeed following that principle.  This could explain the greyish black bars.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1090642

Check out the second post.  (here's a excerpt)

Source video files - DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-ray and Broadcast TV MPEG2, H264 and VC-1 will have their video stored in 16-235 format on-disc. This is what broadcast facilities and studios use as standard for digital video. Black is at 16, White is at 235.

This avsforum conversation happened in 2008 shortly after this German'07 broadcast.  If anyone wants to say 'confirm' then this could be the explanation.

I've got a bunch of others, if time i'll cap'um.

dark_jedi wrote: So has anyone started any kind of audio list of changes for the new Blu's that are coming

After the Wood's stuff are comments people have made, verification by others awaits.  One of the keys in this discussion is to get Wood to admit that most of the audio work was done for the 2004, then figure out what from that point was changed for the 2011s.  Here's some of his Wood's words, but it's mostly unclear:

http://www.hometheaterforum.com/t/314106/lucasfilm-on-star-wars-the-complete-saga-blu-ray-part-ii-matthew-wood

Q:  Was there anything else that you had to make up or add in?

A:  Occasionally in New Hope, there were things that could not be completely found, a few very subtle things like a footstep here and there or some background noise that we would just re-perform or get an approximate sound.  And of course, every time we watched the movies, George would find something that he wanted to change, so there were changes to the films visually as well as audio-wise, so there are some changes in the Blu-ray version that you guys will find!  It was funny, because we’d meticulously put it all together, “here’s what it was!” and then he’ll update it.

Q:  On the DVD, the orchestra for the surround channels was swapped, was that fixed?

A:  It’s funny, because it never really was an error --- what happened back then was that the music master we had at the time didn’t have any surround information.  One of the techniques that has been used previously from mixers is to give it a bigger soundstage---they would have flipped the back channel to give it a different kind of reverb.  And that was done on the THX 1138 remaster, which I didn’t work on.  For this go-round (6.1) we decided not to do that, so the surround information is direct to the back, no longer flipped on the music track.

Q:  Was there any thought given to archiving previous tracks like the 6-track master from the 70mm prints or the 78 mono remix?  Any thought given to putting them on the Blu-ray?

A:  Yes, we have those and they’ve all been digitized.  I don’t know if they considered putting those on the Blu-ray.  That might be more of a question for Marketing, it may be an issue of space.  It’s funny because I play those other audio tracks, like the scene when R2 and C3PO have been left on Tatooine and they walk through the canyon.  I just love that on the current mix, you can actually hear the quiet, when R2 is lonely, going through the canyon.  I played the original mix and it’s FULL of hiss and totally brittle, so it’s fun now to hear it like George wanted it to really be, what was intended.

Adywan wrote: Something else i noticed about the audio. The sound effects for part of the detention cell shoot out swapped channels in the 2004 versions. Now i decided to check the Blu-Ray audio and the same mistakes are there. Just check the section right after the Stormtroopers start knocking on the door when 3P0 is on the comlink right up until Leia blasts the hole in the wall. Now this was a mistake only found in the 2004 version and was correct in all the old mixes. You can hear it best if you can mute all channels apart from front left & right. even though the laser blasts are quite fast to keep a track of which direction they are, just keep an eye out for when Han shoots. You hear two clear blasts coming from the left channels when they should be coming out of the right. In this section all the effects are swapped. Now did they really start this mix again from scratch or did they just go and fix the rear channels and dialogue?

from MF.com

Brass can now be heard during X-Wing dive to the Death Star.

Energy wave sound from Death Star explosion sounds more balanced.

Vader's breath sound can be heard when his TIE is spinning, but is very faint.

Hamill's "The first transport is away" is still there.

C-3PO still says "There's nowhere to go" after saying "Oh this is suicide."

On Dagobah, Luke still tells R2 "You were lucky to get out of there" instead of "You're lucky you don't taste very good."

Boba Fett's voice is still the 2004 "Kiwi" accent from Temuera Morrison.

Vader's "Alert my Star Destroyer...." crap is still there, unchanged.

"Jedi Rocks" is still there and unchanged.

Vader's "NO's" have been added. The first sounds like it has been sloppily laid on top of the mix, the second is from ROTS.
