Why hasn't SuperShadow written anything about the Blu-Rays? End of an era.
Here's another cancellation pic:

So does no one at Skywalker Ranch know how to color correct or what? The whites on the Blu-Ray of Revenge of the Sith seem to be completely crushed. Mouse over the pic to show the Blu-Ray version, and note how blown out her clothing is at her neck. Just unbelievable.

The absurd content changes plus the mounting evidence of a shoddy restoration/transfer on even the recent movies has left me no choice.
Never thought I'd say it but: Fuck Star Wars (on Blu-Ray)
*EDIT*
google: "Star Wars" +"I cancelled my pre-order" = 128 hits in last week
^ Judging a whole forum from a few quotes, posts, threads will happen, but that's their loss. Forums are for people speaking their views, even if they are atrocious, idiotic, repetitive or helpful.

thorr you might want to take your earlier reply and move it to your first post.

I'd recommended, if possible, combining the various boycott pages. Or ask the members of each to join the other. What's the history of your page? How'd/Where'd it start, etc.
Only TV commercials. If it ain't shillin' it ain't Star Wars.

What's currently active is working for me. I'm on a Mac, tried out in Firefox, Chrome and Safari all function correctly. I'm guessing you might be using Windows Explorer which is a little slower integrating future HTML standards. I'll try to find another way to do this. Could someone else test out this news link?
On the gossip story. There's something odd, and it's too timely. Have been poking around for people's reaction from that night, and below is part of the Q&A from that nights Field Museum showing of ESB. GL tried to dodge one question (to save face of someone else), but after a second asking he gives a blunt answer. So you could possibly say he might have been in a fowl mood that night, but I think that's reaching. Seems like a routine Q&A.

Billy Dee Williams' opinion on the BR changes:
Q. Many “Star Wars” fans have criticized George Lucas for modifying the original trilogy. Ewok blinks were added last week. Some fans see the original movies as sacred. What’s your take?
I don’t really have very much to say about it. The property belongs to George Lucas. He can do whatever he wants with it. If he wants to experiment with it, it’s his choice. And why not? I always look forward to seeing what he’s going to do from moment to moment anyway. He’s got that access to new technology and he’s putting it to use.
And I don’t know of these being so sacred. I mean, if you don’t play around with it or try to do something interesting with it … it’s an argument, it’s a discretion, it’s a matter of opinion really. And everybody’s got an opinion about everything.

GL's getting old. http://www.agingeye.net/visionbasics/theagingeye.php
Color vision and contrast sensitivity are also affected by aging. Color vision changes cause some reduction of ability to discriminate blues and blue-greens. The yellowing of the lens is believed to be responsible for this effect. The aging lens and cornea causes glare by light scattering, especially for shorter wavelengths. Stray light and lenticular fluorescence washes out contrast. (Reference: Work, Aging and Vision. National Academy Press; 1987). Contrast sensitivity shows a significant age-related decline (Ophthalmic Physiol Opt 2000;20:323-34). Wavefront aberrations of the cornea also increase with age, leading to poor vision quality especially when the pupil dilates as in the dark (Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci 1999;40:1351-5)

^ Good to know. I'm just copying info into a draft for either a new topic or awaiting someone to start the Prequel Change thread.

The People vs. George Lucas , which will be screened at the a/perture cinemas in Winston-Salem Sept. 12
Among those scheduled to be in attendance at the screening is Dale Pollock
Unique opportunity. Theater Info: http://www.aperturecinema.com/
The People vs. George Lucas will be released on DVD ($27.98 retail) on Sept. 27 from LionsGate Home Entertainment.
Dale Pollack from a recent press junket for PvsG:
Even Pollock is baffled as to why Lucas would even bother to go back and “adjust” a movie that was a huge boxoffice success and is nearly 30 years old.
“Who does that?” Pollock asked rhetorically.

You can see the short on their site here:

(Note: It's part of a larger video, which is also phun. I think RLM knows how to game the system so to point traffic to his site, they release it on youtube, get the blog coverage then the magic of the take down pushes people to their main site. )
Seems Jambe Davdar has teamed up with the Star Wars Aficionado (http://starwarsaficionado.blogspot.com/) folks and digitized a bunch of great old tv stuff:

You know things are weird when the Sports Editor of a University paper is writing an article which ends with the following statement:

The futility of pursuing perfectionBy Bill Koester

But in today's age, fans clamoring for the uncut "Star Wars" of their youth can use the Internet to find bootleg copies of the originals or download them. So Lucas may only put out the version he wants, but purists can still get the version they want.

Can anyone confirm this???
If this is indeed a change, this is the same view screen Amidala pops up in, so change one should change the other. (the black border) I was under the impression that originally that shot is not somewhere else, but that's the actual doorway which has a 'ray shield' or something in front. Not sure why the doorway now becomes a view screen. A few seconds later Qui-Gon is poking his lightsaber through this same opening. (which was recently locked down)
On the GL quote article from last years Field Museum ESB showing in the Gossip blog. If someone who uses twitter could ask the writer if they might know of someone else who could verify the story, here's the twitter feed to ask.

I tried sending an e-mail, but they directed me to the twitter which I don't use. Thanks.
