Way to play the uptight old white male card.  Come on this isn't 1983, rap is no longer some societal blight. (it's now urban corporate cheese...)  Dare we say you're 'Done'?

You and MC Potbelly probably share the same demographic.  From the bio:

...a 42-year-old, white, male insurance agent from Marin County, California, an upper-middle to upper-class enclave about as far from "the 'hood" as you can get.

That's right MC Potbelly is from the same hood as Lucasfilm.

The Puggo Edition - webpage and screenshots (Super 8 transfers - Released)

Folks into this thread might get a kick out of this:

Black and White ESB Super8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GzX7vsIe5A : as meant to be seen

*EDIT*

Super8 Silent Star Wars (w/ subtitles?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbe-RsOHwsE

Are these subtitles real?  (the soundtrack isn't) read that this silent version may have come with a cassette for the audio.  And the film had a blank audio track which many people dubbed the cassette into it.  not sure if the soundtrack is 80s original or something the creator did recently.

German 8mm Star Wars.  (Kreig crawl and German audio) First reel.  Video flips between the projector and the movie.

As the Krieg der Sterne is white with Star Wars written underneath, this was done specially for the 8mm?

Never thought of MC Chris as a battler.  So why pick a fight with a song that's 11 years old?  After the MC Chris beatdown will you go after Suckadelic?  Wasn't anything more from a galaxy far far away in 1998 when he released 'Star Wars Breakbeats'.  How about going after Twin Sister?  Phuck it, talk shit about Meco.  Redo their 3po rap.  If you can pull that off, you'll know you're something.

But seriously seek out MC Potbelly's 'Lando'... it's the bestest, outsider rap is where it's at.

Yes, yes, of coarse… ahhh… as you know, our blockade of the Original Theatrical Versions of the Star Wars films is perfectly legal, and we’d be happy to receive the NFR… Happy to.

OBITUARY - Star Wars Fullscreen/Pan and Scan versions. R.I.P.

russs15 posted:

Thanks for the pic.  Does this ITV broadcast preservation have a name or is it attributed to any organization or individual?  What's a good guestimate for broadcast date?  Japan TV premiered in late 83 (i think) and the US CBS was early 84.

According to:

http://boards.theforce.net/uk_regional_forum/b10027/8627086/p2

Star Wars was first shown on British television by ITV on Sunday 24 October 1982 at 7.15pm.

If this is correct then it aligns with when in the US SW began showing up on pay tv systems.

Here's a 1987 Christmas ITV SW partial end credits and commercial break:

Added the pic to the 'Orange Items' page:

http://fd.noneinc.com/Glitch/starwars-tantiveorangeerrors/starwars-tantiveorangeerrors.html

As there is no orange, this aligns with the 82 CED, 82 Library VHS, 82 VHS PAL and 86 Japanese LD.

Right, three of the four images You_Too posted suffer a lower edge which is blown out as most likely the next frame has a very bright explosion.  The light bleeds between frames causing the neighboring frame to change color along the bottom or top edge.

Not sure what's caused the error in the R5/Luke/3po shot.  It's close in size and shape to a Reel Cue Marker, but it's not punched out, just a modified ring.  weird.

Post TV's Frink Posts - modified formatting

First saw this today.  Posts after TV's Frink get slightly reformatted.  Noticed this in a recently updated Firefox on a Mac.  Do not have this issue in Chrome. (which hasn't been updated in awhile)  Haven't seen this happen to any other users.

Example pic from here:

If you have kept any documentation of these 'bad frames' would be interested in seeing what you've found.  In other sections of these forums, frame glitches are being looked at for various reasons.  What are you definitions of 'bad frames'?  are they glitches like the Tantive orange items or glue frames in ESB, or are they results of the original digital compression to the GOUT source?

Star Wars : 'Tantive's Orange Items' Thread & other unintended objects

Leonardo wrote: how's this?

This helps.  Didn't see it the first pass but there seems to be one vertically thru the middle of R2.

Created some guides which identify/name the orange items in the Tantive sequence.  (was confused what bkev was referring to, maybe with guides and names it might clear things up)  Will add the new one mentioned above, eventually.

Also updated the first post to bring up msycamore's point of there being more instances of the orange.

msycamore wrote: I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread, similar damage appear elsewhere in the film but not as fatal as those in the corridor, here's a few of them as they're seen on the SWE LD (Technidisc)

Those in the Twin Suns sequence are quite random.  Some rain down, others almost horizontal, some seem to have directional smearing others more rip like.  Need to run this by a forum of old film projectionist folks, they would recognize this phenomenon.

Thanks these are very informative.  Interesting to see that the second item (to the right of R2) continues into the third frame which we hadn't identified before.  Was the fourth pic provided to show us an unaffected frame?  or am I missing a fourth item.

Wiki's got a 35mm frame at about 1 3/8" in width.  The first two items almost appear as opposite sides of a circle's circumference.  So these items make a diameter of half an inch.  was thinking maybe a pencil eraser was pressed into film and that caused the shift as the emulsion was wet and slick.  but this diameter is double a normal pencil.  is closer to a finger's width.

Does anyone here still hate Star Wars? (Also: Mr. Sulu's Pearls of Wisdom)

Ug I still hate Star Wars.  Stupid Shatner was always over acting.  And what's up with Malcolm Reynolds, can he ever beat Saruman in a game of three dimensional chess.  And Howard why is he always a duck, sheesh cast a Ninja Turtle for once.  Specism if you don't ask me.  And Star Wars'ess lame special effects, how many chest bursters does it take to get a coffee.  Barrrrrrrf in this thread I will.

Working on a test of the twin suns shot.  The source of the film mosaic is a fade from the 1977 version thru 1997 thru 2011 versions.  Splitting that into three segments and applying TPM, AotC and RotS to each of the thirds.  This file is the first third showing how TPM recreates.
