Lego Star Destroyer
Time
http://www.adognamedfish.com/archives/2003/01/lego_star_destroyer/

"Saturday night Michi and I finally assembled my Lego Star Destroyer. It took us close to 10 hours (we started around midnight). We let my webcam take a picture every five seconds and made a stop motion video out of the pictures (over 7000 of them). The video turned out really cool. It's a little over 4 minutes long and you can download it here."

Has anyone seen/read Sansweet's "Star Wars Poster Book"? (edit: it comes out on October 13, 2005)
Amazon.com

"Book Description
One of the very first Star Wars posters had no images at all—just enormous block letters that announced, "Coming to Your Galaxy This Summer: Star Wars." The rest is history. Now, 28 years later, the 350 most amazing Star Wars movie posters are collected for the first time. This compilation spans the surreal to ultra realistic, the campy to darkly serious: Darth Vader's head exploding in a shower of camera parts; Anakin Skywalker casting an ominous Sith shadow; C-3PO and R2-D2 selling Star Wars shoes; Luke and Vader in mortal battle aboard the Death Star. Classic posters are joined with text by the world's foremost Star Wars collector, Stephen Sansweet, and poster collector Peter Vilmur, behind-the-scenes stories from artists and designers, a scarcity guide to over 2,000 posters, and a bootleg identification guide. Exploding with color, The Star Wars Poster Book illuminates an unexplored corner of Star Wars history."

Might start a real life Star Wars club in PA.
Time
Over at TFN's message boards, they have FanForce chapters by region. http://boards.theforce.net/ This is one way to contact people in your area.

There are several PA groups (Philly, Pittsburgh, Tamaqua, Reading, State College, York/Lancaster) according to: http://boards.theforce.net/FanForce_USA_-_NorthEast/c10016/
I would test the waters before jumping in, especially if some of the OT.com activities are you area of interest, some of the fans over there might not see things the same way...

Info & Help Wanted: Carrie Fisher Gem from Sci-Fi Channel - re Episodes 7,8,9??
Time
SciFi also had Billy-Dee Williams host the OT and Making of Specials in 1996. ("Star Wars : The Ultimate Experience : Hosted by Billy-Dee Williams" [in Widescreen] is the title of the showings) I've got those in LP mode. Here's an example of the capture i can do. (LP VCR tape to MiniDV to iMovie...everything tends to come out dark)

http://noneinc.com/tteesstt/SWonSciFi-Williams.jpeg

I'm sure someone could do better, i can send the tapes to someone who would like to capture them. I haven't watched them in a while, and can't remember if there's anything super interesting, but for the sake of preservation having these all in the one place, with the Carrie clips, might be nice.

Info: "Faster More INTENSE" - TheADigitalMan Edits (AOTC)
Time
On one of the late night Conan shows around RotS, they showed AotC in 10-15 seconds. You lose some of the plot, but it's defintely worth watching again!

I like the idea, there's only so many times you can watch, to view all the details, sometimes it's nice to have the eye candy fly like it was ment to.

There have been articles about college kids who get their lectures taped and then listen to them at higher speeds. the hU-man can hear and understand things at a much higher rate them most day to day speak.

Maybe in your studies you can find the optimum speed for maximizing appreciability & comprehension.
Judging by the general concencious on this board maybe the outcome will be something like this:
(Note : results on based on theatrical version, hence the AotC Wesyeed watched was a fan edit so AotC has been cranked up a few percentage points to compensate, in these estimates)
TPM = +2.4%
AotC = +0.7%
RotS = +0.5%
ANH = +0.4%
ESB = +0.3%
RotJ = +9.9%
HS = +999.9% (a technological limit, quantum computing will solve this one)

I look forward to the rest of the F.M.I. studies.
