New Ralph McQuarrie Book
Time
If your not into this particular book, a few years back (2002) this guy released a DVD with interviews and stuff which covered the career of McQuarrie. (maybe there is a re-pressing in mind) From the way that DVD was handled, this book will provide a grand view of an amazing career (seeing how his practicle work influenced the SW universe should be presented like it never has before in this book), and it's while i've picked up a copy.

It's a little wordy but how about?
-The Search for Deconstructing the Undiscovered "Building An Empire" : The Wrath of Lucas : The FanFilm Generation :The Original Final Voyage : Space Episode Nine- AKA "Behind the Force" (probably used in some tie-in already)

Hyperspacing to the Hidden Hope (FFWD'ing through the Archives)

I like W-M's "From Starkiller to Star Wars" suggestion. but Hope on a Rope is Dope! "Peace, Love... Star Wars"

Any Star Wars TV stuff coming up?
Time
The Rose Bowl Parade in which George Lucas is the symbolic head for the year, will be on in under an hour. While you wait, the Home and Garden channel has a program on the behind the scenes. Anyone got any other Rose Parade shows? They showed an Endor float i think... This could be the new Holiday Special! HGTV says they'll be airing the parade uninterrupted. not sure what else you'll get from that but if it's your thing, it's available.

Subtitling in DVD Studio Pro (Moving Help?) [Just Say No!]
Time
This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but i've got a sequence of Subtitles in DVD Studio Pro, now i've added a clip to the movie and need to move a bunch of subtitles. But at the moment i'm unable to grasp on how to accomplish this. I'm new to the program and the usual things (holding down shift, control, option, apple or a combination of those) are not keeping the multiple subtitles selected. I can select several, but the next click to move them causes the selection to go to just one. In some video editing programs there is a different selection tool when moving multiple clips, i don't seem to be able to locate this at the moment. Anyone know the concept i'm missing to move multiple subtitles at the same time?

*edit*
It would seem i'm not the only one.

Well it seems this is a known issue and most people just don't use DVD Studio Pro to do subtitles. They create them in a third party application which has more editing features and then import them into DVDSP for final DVD authoring. Pain in the ass.

DON"T EVER SUBTITLE IN DVD STUDIO PRO

Info: anyone done a 'Dialog and FX' <em>ONLY</em> Audio Track for any Star wars movie?
Time

I’m curious has anyone created a “Dialog, Foley and FX Only” audio track for any of the Star Wars movies? I know there are several Complete Soundtracks which have been included on various Fan Preservation projects as second audio. But having the Dialog and FX might be fun to watch as well.

Plus it would give a chance for other Soundtracks to be inserted. This idea has come to me as I listen to some really dreadful Star Wars recreations. For instance the Meco version of the Ending Theme of RotJ which has some Ewok Rappin’ (Dabu Dabbu Darth Vader…), and I would love to see this track and so many others inserted into the movies just to see how everything plays out if John Williams wasn’t around.

If this hasn’t already been done, it shouldn’t be too hard… in theory. Since people have created the Soundtrack Only versions, there are Audio softwares which should allow for the Soundtrack Only to be “scrubbed/removed/negated” from the Full Movie Soundtrack, leaving the Dialog and FX behind. (I’ve read about music people who use this process to create Acapellas if only the full song and instrumental are available)

If you know of the audio software which could do this and the function name please post the info, i’m not up to speed in audio editing techniques.

EDIT ADDED INFO
Ah i’ve found it, http://www.acapella-heaven.com/ib/creation.php is the tutorial others have used to do this process to music songs.

Above link doesn’t work, bu the wayback machine has an archive: http://web.archive.org/web/20050107015152/http://www.acapella-heaven.com/ib/creation.php

The basic idea relies on the linear superposition of audio. Which is simply: that if you have take a sound, any sound at all, and add it to the inverted version of itself the result will be silence.

Star Wars HD coming in November! All SIX movies!
Time
The "some_b_gradejunk" (ESB) that was originally posted, does it have the same audio problem that the initial ANH had? There seems to be another ESB going up now, wonder if this one will follow the same pattern as ANH in that it was have the Broadcast 2.0 sound and the posters add in 5.1 audio as well.

And a question, what does "OAR" stand for? Is it a release group name or anachronism for the release type. Maybe "Original Airing Rebroadcast"?
*Answer* OAR = "Original Aspect Ratio"

Disney/Tim Box/Ricardo Delgado's Age of Reptiles: The Animated Motion Picture Series
Time
What will you think of this infomation?

The problem is that this is not information, it's fan fiction.

Although RD's AoR are great books and I would love to see them animated, it'll never happen. There is a very limited audience for a movie/tv series where there is no dialog.

If you want people to play along with you threads you've gotta start it off differently in some way. Your spouting all these stats as facts when there's just no way all these organizations would even think about playing together. You're name dropping is fantastic but it's not helping discussion. But for whatever reason you seem to be more interested in showing off your knowledge of some stats.
