Believe this originated out of a John Williams forum. Decent quality .avi, don't think it's been fan preserved in dvd.
if anyone is ever unsure if a program is known or not, i've got a list which is attempting to at least list SW related media: (firefox searches through it easily)

An unofficial, not for profit DVD.
Support the official releases by Lucasfilm ..... especially if they ever release any of this material in DVD quality.
Deleted scenes. Alternate footage. Editing secrets of the Star Wars trilogy.
In March 2005, I created a DVD called Deleted Magic and released it for free, on a non-profit basis, on the internet. It was very popular. I'm told that Clive Young's book Homemade Hollywood called it "The best documentary ever made on the making of Star Wars."
In 2009, I decided to revisit the major deleted scenes of Star Wars . Most of these scenes had only been released in low quality, 12 frames per second, on CD-ROMs in the late 90s. I used the program Twixtor to generate new frames and restore these scenes to 24 frames per second - not a perfect solution during fast motion, but jaw-droppingly successful during dialogue scenes, and an improvement that is like night and day. I combined a multitude of new sources within the same frame to restore the Jabba the Hutt scene. I animated a shot of Luke and a Treadwell droid, and a shot of Ben attacking with his lightsaber during the Cantina sequence. I have restored these scenes to a quality never seen before, and placed them on this disc for you, edited into the original, unchanged Deleted Magic feature documentary from 2005. Enjoy.

A note that the special features also appear in slightly better quality than on the original Deleted Magic ... ripped directly from other fine fan DVDs. The 1977 crawl does not appear this time round due to disc space (I had intended to use the version from my own Star Wars Classic Edition 2.0).
Slightly different menu music this time round.
You might find subtle references to two of my other fan DVD projects.
The object of Deleted Magic Revisited was to recreate my original Deleted Magic DVD from 2005, but with new versions of five major deleted scenes. I had edited these scenes in 16x9 aspect ratio to preserve their quality. However, the original Deleted Magic was edited in a 4x3 aspect ratio, due to the many different sources used in the film, and the onscreen captions.
So, it was impossible to place the new material into the film seamlessly. Instead, there's an ugly jump as to another track as your DVD player switches ratios.
I tried to place these switches in inconspicuous places, reediting some material from the original Deleted Magic in 16x9 to make the transitions easier. Not a perfect solution - in fact it shows the slightly ropey quality of the original Deleted Magic! Murky black levels etc. The new material looks a bit shinier/better.
I've recreated the functionality of the original Deleted Magic DVD, not an easy task, as it's a very complex DVD full of subtitles, photo galleries, many chapters and tracks, "stories", alternate audio, different versions of things ... I retyped the extra subtitles, recreated the image galleries, etc.
Enjoy this new version!
Personally I recommend VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) for computer playback. Although VLC skips the intro movie, it's got a great skip back a few seconds option, so when you sense you missed something, rewatching is a quick click away. Especially for tBSWM this can be helpful. I've only tested the disc on a friend's Playstation, but it was created with authoring software (4 yrs old) that came in a big schmancy box.
Also Zion, since your a mod over at the tf.n fan film forums, any tips on how to approach them over there? I'll notify that community once i've finished the revised trailer.
On the promotional front, added a section of the FAQ about the Open Video Conference:
http://www.noneinc.com/tBSWM/tBSWM_FAQ.html#OpenVideoConference
Synopsis : Spent about the same length of time as the DVD pretending to be a street bootleg DVD seller in the hallway between the conference rooms and the bathrooms. Got a lot of odd looks and glance aways. But it gave me time to talk to the people who were curious, handed out copies to a surprising variety of people with equally exciting backgrounds. Hope some of them watch parts of this thing and comment. But I phucked up a great opportunity, I submitted a question (on the Elite Torrent takedown) by post-it note to the final guest speaker, but forgot to include my moniker, %20... These folks are attempting to set in place a platform which is unemcumbered by the restrictions the current video systems are. FireFox announced that the forthcoming version 3.5 will support the Ogg Video codec (theora : http://theora.org/ : http://xiph.org/) This will allow content creators to input video onto website (specific video tag) in an easier fashion and it won't be in a flash container or behind other codec's which are proprietary.
Another forthcoming project is Metavid.org. This is a system which wikipedia will be implementing which will allow users to place & edit video into wiki's. So when you look at the wikipedia entry for a location, users can place their homevideos into that entry. Right now the system works with the online C-Span repository. You can search the transcripts and cut the video pieces you want together then blog about this issue. The system is being used to find hypocritical congress critters who say they'll do one thing on the floor of congress but their http://www.opensecrets.org/ say something different.
There was a another online video editing system which was shown briefly. can't find the website but I thought it was called, pad.me. (have to ask them if it's a SW ref...) [EDIT: the correct website name is pad.ma]
DVD Jon of DeCSS fame gave a lecture about his experiences.
Generally the open source video movement seemed to me to be in the process of moving all the tools which were created in the EditDroid system, which then moved into software controlled by companies, those tools we're then moved to open software systems/operating systems, and now are in the progress of going online, through a browser interface. Listened into a conversation between one of the VLC engineers and Mozilla folks talk about how to get Internet Explorer to play the Ogg format. Since that's where the major market share is and Microsoft will not do it until the movement overwhelms them, or someone does it for them.
Handed out a few copies of tBSWM. But since not every aspect of the disc is 'open', I didn't waste too many people's time. Plus from the sound of it, the idea of a video searching system is not in the 5 year plan. But everyone was nice while I rambled about my random ideas on the future of video interaction.
The Mozilla presentation also had a feature which will allow users to add too/modify video sources. I remember reading a NYTimes article about a system in Japan which allows people to add text and other graphic elements to online sources. Might be a fun way to add interactivity to tBSWM FAQ videos, people could add their comments about the clips and with Metavid things can be rearranged into something better.

Wired article which explains it better:

Moth3r wrote: "I was amused to hear you'd sent copies of the DVD to Microsoft and Lucasfilm!"
The ideas behind this project are a win-win for just about everyone, but only if there's some appreciation for even just a small part of it. There are some hurdles, A. making the system which can cut-up the video (ok big hurdles), B. getting permissions from copyright owners to reuse the footage and C. prooving that someone will watch something like this.
I can't do A. so I sent copies to those who could. Looks like my cover letter wasn't interesting enough. How many blind letters/DVDs do they get at these big computer companies... so. FAIL. fine. B. can be solved if C. works, in my opinion. So i'm attemtping to put this in front of the eyeballs of whom ever might have a passing interest. Maybe with the idea of repurposing video to be more informative will cooerce someone to make the 'A.' system. which could reproduce much of this DVD.
With the system in place, it's a no-branier for copyright owners to put their material into the system, even if they choose to do it behind hulu-like places, which are feeder/steamers. ...and conversely open source people have proven through films like RiP "A Remix Manifesto" (http://www.ripremix.com/) that the opposite works too.
And at that point the searcher wins, they can filter out the clutter for the specifics.
In the shorter term, for a company like Lucasfilm, if people do chose to watch something like this, it's gotta be an eye opener that they could create their own dedicated pay on-demand cable channel and working with the media owners who are willing to play along, play literally anything which references SW. In a few years, LFL will have a lot of recent content of their own which can be accentuated by brief commercial like breaks which contain the type of clips which ended up in tBSWM. The ephemeral bull shit which can pile up into something significant culturally speaking.
I understand why LFL didn't keep the disc, (general policy of returning all quote/unquote creative material) but it does say 'Public Domain' several times (on the cover, on the disc) so they didn't have to worry about stealing the ideas.
I found the 1-CD AVI rip on Demonoid; I don't expect the quality is up to much - squeezing nearly three and a half hours down to that size - but if it helps get more people interested in the project then it's all good.
Yeah, really neeto, and the quality is acceptable sorta close to the mp4 on the FAQ website. Turns out the guy had gotten it from usenet, but couldn't find any info on the project and felt people might want to see it. So he put it up. Fantastic. I've been researching but haven't nailed down the process, but I want to send letters to the downloader's ISP to congratulate them. (the reverse of the Cease & Desists letters which downloaders usually get) I've put up the I.P. addresses on the website and if any of them come forward (if the mailing address is close to the ISP location), i'll send them a copy.
The other good news that word is slowly sorta spreading. blueyoda at faneditforums wrote the second full review (link'd in the FAQ) really nailed down many of the issues of the disc, paints the overall picture really well. And the SWEroticaForums (although discussion was limited) showed that someone was willing to pick out a chapter and put it on their blog/forum, ie focus on a specific.
Trailer 2 is the unanimous winner from all fronts. (well all 4 of you) Plus China just revoke the necessity of the Green Dam censorware, (it'll still be on all computers, just not defaulted on) so trailer one's main joke is no longer relevant:
http://www.crn.com/software/217900033;jsessionid=3UNT253TOFYNUQSNDLPSKHSCJUNN2JVN
Few more ideas/surprises to process through, we'll see if I can get to them before my window of opportunity closes. Thanks for the comments.

What is Open Video? As internet video matures, we face a crossroads: will technology and public policy support a more participatory culture—one that encourages and enables free expression and broader cultural engagement? Or will online video become a glorified TV-on-demand service, a central part of a permissions-based culture?
Open Video is a movement to promote free expression and innovation in online video. Join us for three days of inspiring talks, awesome video and film, open hacking sessions, parties, and cutting edge tech from around the world.
I'll be around, listening to discussions. Printed out a few copies to hand out.
Looking at making another trailer. (FanEditForum had similar issues with this project as you all did) Below are two ideas.

Speaker 2 : (reading) "...for sale at Tiananmen Square, that's lame, nothing happens there."
Speaker 1 : "Looks like a mash up to me." "heh (mumbling under breath) Star Wars (clear audio) has A Posse."
Speaker 2 : "Nah it's too jarring, must be a bad fan edit."

Speaker 2 : "Could be a documentary, cus it sure ain't entertainment at that length!"

New to this project? If you watch one chapter per week for the next year, you'll be all up to speed: http://noneinc.com/tBSWM/tBSWM_FAQ.html#ChapWeek
'tBSWM' is currently under under going the FanEdit.org review process. If you'd like to have your say: http://www.faneditforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6352
The project also got bootlegged in the DVD-Rip CD size variety. And a blind mention on the People vs George blog.
And if we only knew what was being said (really... i'd like to know), but the den of the infamous SW artists 'Shabby Blue' the Star Wars Erotica Forum @ Yuku are saying something. Let you know once we find out.

If any of this is valid, it's probably best you give them a call. You know them. Posting on the web for random people to call someone you used to know, it's just bad news. It'll look like harassment. I'd recommend editing your posts. You mentioned that one of these individuals was like an older brother figure to you, sounds like you want to contact them again.

(imagine a fiesty quick witted teenage crime sleuth stuck in the drama filled world of upper and lower class California. The situations can get annoying but Bell and Colantoni's relationship made up for the nonsense.)
<p>
Fanboys has the ability to be a rental DVD success. There's so much random late 70's early 80's generic pop culture trivia references to make this a netflix hit. The conflict between sci-fi franchises will reestablish the normals apathy towards geek culture and mild drug and sex references will appeal to the teenage sect.
<p>
Listening to the audio commentary it's fascinating listening to the conflict between the producer's love of SW and the actors mild appeal to the subject.
<p>
Shawn of the Deli's review covers the recent story, but the script was written 10+ years ago. A low budget version started filming (one or two scenes are mentioned being filmed in the writers blog) before the project got into the Hollywood pipeline.
<p>
At the same time as the Fanboys script was becoming the favorite of Aint-It-Cool-News, there was an anti-thesis script which focused on a group of kids who plot to kill George Lucas. This script was actually made shortly after the script was written and can be viewed as a podcast here: http://dielucasdie.com/

Seems all 6 movies are on MTV this weekend. Anyone happen to be capping? With all the MTV coverage during the Prequels, would be an opportune time to slip in some revisions… The bumper segments (Q&A between actors and fans) I haven’t seen before, would be great to at least get a copy of them. Curious to see the bumpers for the OT, since MTV didn’t exist at that time. none
In the interest of beating a horse as much as we possibly can regardless of its health, we present to you the third installment of Talking Gadget Theater. This time out, the Amazon Kindle 2 and the iPod Shuffle take on the climactic scene in The Empire Strikes Back, which brings up the question: Can gadgets have Oedipal complexes?
The Republic was having trouble, what a sad, sad story
Needed a new leader to restore its former glory
Where, oh where was he? Where could that man be?
We looked around and then we found
The man/machine for you and me
and now it's...
Sixty Six Time for Vader and Palpatine
The Empire is happy and gay
We're cloning at a faster pace
To build an army to protect our galaxy place
Sixty Six Time for Yoda and Jedi
The Jedi have fallen from grace
Sixty Six Time for Mace and Obi-Wan
Come on, Empire, go into your dance
I was born on Naboo, and that is why the Senate didn't boo
Don't be stupid, be a smarty, it's too late your part of the Empire
Sixty Six time for Sidious who's Palpatine
The Force is out of the way
Planets are falling in line
For the Empire it's all a matter of time
Sixty Six time for Clone Troops and Vader
Gunships are sailing once more
Sixty Six time for Vader and Palpatine
Means that soon we'll be going
We've got to be going
You know we'll be going to WAR!
