STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Darth Stewie said:

Am I the only one who doesn't prefer the new positioning of his hands? I much prefer the hands being more on his hips rather than so close to his belt buckle. I think if you're able to get the original positioning correct then why change it?

This actually REALLY bothered me when I first saw it. However, I find with Aalenfae's added light source at the bottom, it is less distracting. I think it stands out so much right now because his hands/arms happen to be in a place where the hologram contrasts a lot with the background, drawing attention to them.

The Unofficial Complete REVISITED SAGA Ideas and Random Discussion Thread
Time

Actually, for the end of Jedi, I have an idea to make the "around the galaxy" shots more viable.

What if, in each of those shots, there is a Hologram speaking to the people. It would be a single hologram, broadcast to each planet, with the various shots of the different planets adding up to create the whole speech. I'm not sure who would deliver it - whether it is someone who would have to be recast, or a new "rebel" representative.

The speech could touch on something along these lines

"People of the Galactic Empire, slaves to the tyranny of Emperor Palpatine. A great victory has been won this day. A group of rebel freedom fighters has brought about the destruction of the Death Star, and in so doing has ended the reign of Palpatine and his dark assassin, Darth Vader. Though many lives have been lost on both sides, this battle marks a great turning point in the future of the galaxy. We are fighting to restore this once great galaxy to its former glory. Though we lay down our lives, we do so knowing it will help to end the hate and the fear. The Empire will fall, and at last, diplomacy will resume. And with that diplomacy, and the birth of a New Republic, we will regain our freedom."

How often do you actually watch an entire Star Wars movie?
Time

Just curious - I get the feeling a lot of us talk about it more than we actually watch.

I watch a full Star Wars movie every month and a half or so... usually if I'm going to watch one, I watch a couple. I am a victim of the numbering system though... that slightly ocd desire to have a full marathon, starting with Episode 1. I rarely make it out of the PT :( I hate sand...

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Nice! Looks possible, but time consuming. And would take programming a new analysis program.

Considering the lengths people are willing to go to for star wars preservations, I wouldn't be surprised to see an "electron microscope laserdisc scanning and analysis to retrieve pure video signal" project pop up. (Fingers crossed).

But yes, a 3 source cross reference scan is more probable by far.

Either would be an awesome source for Harmy.

Info & Offer: Volunteering my Services...
Time

Totally unrelated, except for the "volunteered services" part... but I've been looking for someone with technical skill to help me hone and release a refined version of my Fan Edit of The Phantom Menace, "The Phantom Hour". It is the whole film, condensed into a tight little hour long package that ties together neatly. I have a workprint I can get to you if you're interested. Not quite the preservationist dream... but maybe it's a start?

Star Wars 9 Film Saga... Abrams Edition?
Time

in a recent interview, when questioned whether Han shot first, Abrams responded "I would argue there was only one shot fired"... that alone shows the potential for how he'd prefer the OT be viewed before the ST. Which leaves the PT. Yes, hed be limited to the same story, but imagine the potential alternate takes, deleted scenes, etc. that could be used to create the ultimate FanEdit. I would love to see that saga. 9 films, respectfully structured to be watched one after the other, by someone who loves them.

Of course, im sure PT:Revisited would still be better ;)

Episode III: Revenge of the Ridiculousness
Time

A few ideas for the movie they could be watching:

EVERY Awkward scene from AotC. They could comment on how awful it is.

Every scene from the OT where Luke and Leia are flirting, making out, etc, followed by the "Leia is my sister" scene, then Han asks, "You love him, don't you" and she says "Yes." This is followed by a string of NOOOOOOOOs from the saga.

Or they could just watch the "I am your father" reveal from Empire.
