If Episode 1 is skipped, is there any way that AotC could be edited in such a way that Padme and Anakin haven't met before? More of a he meets her then falls in love sort of thing? Also, perhaps he could NOT kill the Sand People?

What if the Ewoks we see are only the young/teens?
Could Ady add in beastly, 7 ft tall, full grown ewoks? Create a few costumes similar to the Wampa for it, film them, and drop them into the scenes that are already there. Maybe add a couple shots of them clobbering troopers.
To me, "young Skywalker" is far more personal, and implies that Luke is so well known across the galaxy that you don't even need to use his first name. It makes it far less impressive that the Emperor is giving this information to Vader. The Emperor is this mysterious figure at this point, and his knowledge of Luke is a sign of his power and influence.
Reporting "Luke Skywalker" conveys this in a far more meaningful way.

I'm not particularly fond of the "cameo" approach at all; the PT did definitely fail in this regard.
However, something I've heard over and over again is that the PT is far too "jedi-centric", and that it would be really cool to see how everything is affecting the general population.
Also, I find the idea of using Han to fill this role would be far more likely to appease fans than Ady introducing totally new characters of his own creation.
I do digress though, as further research has shown me that Han is only 29 in ANH, where I had previously believed him to be in his mid/late thirties. Under my previous age assumption, Han would have been 16-18 in RotS, providing for a much more interesting story arc than a 10 year old.
I guess I'm the only one who likes the idea... He IS the only main OT character that doesn't get a nod.
I have a feeling the awful Chewie/Yoda scene will be removed. Assuming it is, seems like the Han/Chewie backstory would be a pleasant sideplot that could be added to all three of the PT films - it would allow Ady to cut as much as needed, and give him entirely new sequences to film to fill the gaps and give it a SW film length.
I know it would totally mess of the EU, but just imagine building up Han as this kid growing up in the underbelly of Coruscant. Occasionally you could mix him into the crowd in a few scenes with Anakin in it. (the bar, hiding behind another of the pillars in Ep 3 after they crash land - I always thought Padme looked far too suspicious being the only one skulking around).
You could even show him and Lando gambling, show him getting the Falcon at then end and him and Chewie flying off in it for the first time...
Should we see young Han in PT:R?

The problem is, with Harmy and Team -1... you don't get that satisfaction of buying the film you love. You have a copy of it, But it's not quite the same.
That's what's really most messed up about the whole ordeal. We all just want to buy a BluRay of the OUT. That way we own it. That way we pay our respects to the people involved financially. I'm sick of doing that for the substandard product that is the increasingly convoluted Special Edition.
It's like ordering a chocolate milkshake and being told I'm sorry sir, but our manager only wants us to sell half chocolate/half vanilla milkshakes. And you reply that that's ridiculous. The guy behind the counter says i agree sir, but he's the boss. You almost walk out the door. But you want the damn milkshake. The milkshake is decent, you stir it up and get a fair amount of the chocolate you wanted. But it could never completely satisfy you, even though the place in question makes the best milkshakes in town. You feel ripped off. But for the same price, you'd come back in a heartbeat if they would just make you an actual chocolate milkshake.

1 - Agree here mostly. I'm awful at audio work, so a lot of the longer sequences where I haven't cut anything are due to that. I've considered (with permission of course) refining this edit by splicing in L8wrtr's opening sequence to replace mine - the Trade Federation is greatly improved with some of those small dialogue changes he made, and shaves a bit more time off the edit.
2 - I needed to sew the seeds of the Anakin/Padme obsession/romance, and by my eliminating nearly ever other scene they are in together, the introduction scene was a necessary evil. Otherwise, they have no real scenes together at all. I also believe that the lines aren't that bad, just delivered badly - I mocked this up a while back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV-P39TOOBM
3 - Agree here. I'm not sure I had bluray ripping capabilities when I made the edit, otherwise I would've used the bluray as a source, which would have included cgi yoda.
4 - The lack of the Gungan's battle at the end originally left it feeling uneven. Keeping the grappling sequence kept everything even in terms of pacing and time spent on each piece of what was happening.
5 - I considered leaving the Qui-Gon funeral footage in. However, we already know that there are two sith lords, and that the apprentice was killed - we don't need it spelled out for us by Mace and Yoda. Obi-Wan telling Anakin he will train him is unnecessary, as we just heard Yoda tell Obi-Wan this. The Palpatine "hint" at the end is rediculous and far too obvious. I also tried to avoid any scene where other Gungan's were seen - It just makes you wonder who Boss Nass is and why he is there. All of those added up to me leaving it out.

I fear that it will be awesome, but continue to reference midichlorians and other small things people hate from the PT, in a way that makes them nearly impossible to edit out because they are made narratively relevant.
I'll get that going again. Can't get it to seed on utorrent and halite keeps crashing.
