STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>
Time

Hope this is a April fools joke... This is from Ady's facebook:

Ady Adywan Just had a massive electrical surge and its fried my PC, TV & PS3. The electricians screwed up with the rewiring of my flat I've lost everything. My hard drives are fried. Had to happen just as i was backing up the one drive & it's fried my backup drive too. So much for surge protection sockets. ESB:R is no more .... 2 1/2 years of work gone. I'm gonna be suing the council for every penny they've got.

Release date? lol

I kid. Take your time.

;-)

Haha. Well if my math is right, and I'm correct when the conception occurred... I'm thinking late November/early December. My brother in law often jokes that the baby will come out a Wookie. =) Would be tragic at first, but then we would be rich.... But then again, my wife would have some explaining to do.

It's a section of the vane. Sometimes things don't need to be made obvious to the audience. That was a huge problem, as i have said before, with the PT - everything was explained too much. But i've never believed that it was Lukes hand/saber becausse that would have been thrown out of the city a long time before and it certainly wouldn't have gone through the exact same shaft.  Luke lands pretty hard on the vane and part of it breaks off. I'm certainly not going to be making it look any clearer because it doesn't need it.

I'll have to disagree here. Not everything needs to be made obvious, no. But this is something that in the script has a dramatic effect, which is not present in the movie. And to boot has caused nothing but confusion for 30 years. Some things, yes.

Not this thing.

Can't disagree with you more. It's a 2 second shot and with the speed an object needs to fall it wouldn't matter how clear you made the object (which it already is now) it would just be the same old blur as its falling. And not only that but what would the object need to look like so it looks like a piece of the vane that will be noticeable enough for this quick shot?

Also i really can't see how the script give this a more dramatic effect than the movie.

From the published script:

EXT. BOTTOM OF CLOUD CITY - WEATHER VANE - DUSK

Luke tumbles out, emerging at the under-most part of cloud city. Reaching out desperately, he manages to grab on to an electronic weather vane.

NO mention of the falling piece there

From the shooting script:

TRUCKING FULL SHOT as Luke tumbles through the exhaust pipe.

403. EXT BOTTOM OF CITY - EXHAUST PIPE - DUSK

Luke is spit out of the exhaust pipe on the underside of the city. He manages to grab a protruding weather
vane at the exterior mouth of the pipe.

404. EXT BOTTOM OF CITY - EXHAUST PIPE - DUSK

FULL SHOT - Luke hanging on weather vane on bottom of the city. Dangling helplessly above the awesome cloud sea hundreds of miles below, he struggles in vain to pull himself to safety. Finally, he closes his eyes and begins to concentrate.

Nothing about in it that version either. Are you sure you don't mean the novel? If that is the case then of course things are explained in greater detail in a novel and often described with greater effect, but that doesn't mean it has to be the same way in a movie

Again i say it doesn't need changing and i'm not going to be doing anything to the object.  But if you really need it explained then i know someone who will only be too happy help....

Man, I hope this is in the edit! =)

SW Episode III - Reign of the Dark Side (* unfinished project *)

Hey guys. I've been kinda MIA lately... Been on vacation and learned that my wife is pregnant. So, yeah, I've been a bit distracted.

I've still been following the thread over at FE, but had no clue it was here.

Anyway, guys, this could be my preferred Ep. 3 edit. It's looking amazing, and I can't wait to give it a look.

I know personally that Bob has gone above and beyond to deliver this one.

Anything he writes is freaking SW gold and I'm so glad he bitched slapped Kevin J Anderson in the Hand of Thrawn duology about Mara Jade and Luke (since KJA's Lando romance angle was total crap)... Totally worth reading Silvery Key, along with the Thrawn Trilogy (genius and totally engaging), Hand of Thrawn Duology (if you wanna know what happens to the Empire at it's finale and how Luke and Mara Jade finally get together, these are the books!), and Outbound Flight (bridges elegantly the PT and the future EU nicely... Sets the stage for future occurrences within the SW timeline) .

Do not get me started on the "Mandalore" in the CWS. First off they are the "Death Watch" they are a splinter group of the Mandalore and the armor is suppose to be very different and thus THEY ARE NOT MANDALORE... That "darksaber" thing was a joke as well. Then... the actual Mandalorians from Mandalore being "pacifist"??? Way to ruin the Mandalorian Super Commandos GL... This is a race of warriors, born to fight and die for their code of conduct and honor who offer their services to the highest bidder and never break their word as such. They respect strength and the will to use it to fight for their vode (brothers/sisters), their goals, and their kote (glory).

If you're gonna have them go "pacifist" or whatever for another convoluted plot line then congrats LFL, you have just neutered one of the greatest warrior groups in sci-fi history... . I really do wish GL would turn over SW to someone who actually does care and KNOWS the universe. He just doesn't care. Everything now is all about setting up product pipelines and getting $ from them... Sick of it.

I don't hate Zahn's books, but I like my SW more about the movie characters, not just having them around to observe and comment Dr. Watson style about how awesome Zahn's new characters are. (Luke: "Gee Mara, thanks for killing C'Boath and clone-Luuuke for me. I sure hope someone takes care of Thrawn for us!")

As for the Mandalorians... I found those books dull as dirt, and as background characters in the KOTOR games the Mandalorians were adequate, but hardly memorable.

"We're a race of badass warriors. Our culture is war! But honorable... don't forget that. k'blah!" is hardly groundbreaking sci-fi. I didn't mind a different take on them on the "Clone Wars" show. I don't mind if it was faithful to the extensive linguistics Karen Traviss made up or not.

Remember, every single thing about the Mandalorians is because a dude in ESB had a cool costume. They're a tangential back-story to a background character.  The entire "Mandalorian" concept reaches back... 7 years out of the 33 year history of the franchise?

I think it's an interesting POV to say LUCAS is the one all about money, when Zahn, Stackpole, Anderson, Traviss, and what not all became best-sellers writing in another creators toybox.

"K'blah!?|"

Ok, dude. If you're gonna bash, do it right. "K'blah" is clearly Klingnon. Sheeesh. =)
