Anyone have a link to this please?
Anyone have a link to this please?
I would like to see your edit, please. Thanks!
I’m interested if you could toss me a link. Thanks… And yes, I’ll take an older cut if that’s what you have. =)
Has anyone heard that Kai Patterson’s fan edit of Obi-Wan Kenobi had a screening where tickets were sold?
How has Disney not put him under the jail? Am I missing something??
I don’t get to watch a lot of edits these days, but I did get to sit down and watch this one.
This is a solid concept with the greatest strength being with the FX enhancements. I can say visually this is one of the nicest looking versions of this film.
While I like what’s been removed, I still felt a lot of cringe was left, and this guy personally would have chopped more. But good decisions regardless.
The biggest problem here is the audio issues when cuts are made. If there is any existing music the cuts are made more evident with the abrupt changes in music. The easiest fix would be to add an audio transition in between cuts to smooth these out so that they aren’t obvious.
Outside of that, this is solid and worth a look to see all the improvements.
Solid work. Thanks for sharing.
Any movement on this?
I’d like to give it a look too if you can send a link.
Thanks!
I’m paying attention. Let us know when you need viewers.
I think Brash hits the boards every once in a blue moon, but I know for sure this project was never finished.
I’ll poke him and let him know you asked.
Hi Everyone, I’m new here. Looking for the link to the sound collection, if anyone could please help.
I had this amazing torrent from years ago of highly polished OT sounds on a hard drive that went bad. I’ve tried to recover the data, but its lost. I’m hoping this collection has the same sounds as the “Star Wars Sounds” torrent from years past. Help me OT, you’re my only hope…
Thanks.

Hey! I’ll take a link!
Thanks!
This is insane.
I have to see it.
Get it done, please.
Spence, long time, no speak. Glad to see you’re doing this.
Honestly, I like most of your changes here, brother!
I prefer Yoda not fight at all if I can throw my two cents in. I think I agree, that Yoda is one too many things going on.
I would make one minor edit to the landing platform scene. I’ve always cut, “I’ve failed you, Senator,” as it makes no sense. That’s precisely what a decoy does. Dumb writing in my opinion.
This is shaping up great! Keep it up!
Is there a version of Return of the Jedi that comes closest to preserving correct lightsaber colors? Something a bit less pink for Vader?
Despecialized? Something else?
Thanks in advance!
I’ll take a link as well. Looks fascinating.
This is ambitious but I would worry based on the episode list that your films will feel episodic inside. For example, the three malevolence episodes edited together could easily make a film by itself. Why string the others into that when they will feel unrelated?.. Especially Bombad Jedi?
Alas, this is only my opinion, and I have to admit, I am curious how you would make it work.
I hope it goes well for you.
Excited about your progress, but I have some notes.
I appreciate you wanting to eliminate the Krayt side quest, but for me, this doesn’t work. We are randomly on the massive carcass and all of sudden Cobb is thanking Mando. Trying to watch this blind, I’m not sure someone who hasn’t seen the show will understand the exchange.
Also, the color grading is a bit on the hot/overexposed side. For a show that seems to lean hard on Rec.709, maybe try going in another direction, pull back on the highlights maybe.
What are you editing on?
For me it’s not a real problem because on the travel to the carcass Cobb tell it’s story to Mando and where/how he got the armor, by this way he can thanking Mando because he appreciate the fact he doesn’t kill him for that, I hope you’ll understand my point. And the meat carcass can be explain with the “Obi Wan Kenobi” show, it’s not a problem.
Meanway, I think about the possibility of re-insert the original sequence.
Sure, I understand your point, but I fear that others will not understand as I didn’t while watching. It’s a bit jarring. My point is, if you have to explain it to people, does it really work?
I hope you don’t think I’m pooping on this, I’m simply encouraging you to think harder on it. It also requires some more plot to explain why people and Tuskens are working with each other. You don’t have the Boba story yet, but even so, that wouldn’t explain why the people can work with Tuskens with no issues.
Maybe consider a heavily reduced Krayt sequence and then it can be kind of like the first 30 minutes of Return of the Jedi.
Excited about your progress, but I have some notes.

Bumping this again. I don’t even care.
It was going to be amazing.
Miss hearing from ID and TJ.
Sounds like another winner. I’ll take a look!
This was fantastic. I said it on YouTube, but I already didn’t like this show, but now I dislike it more.
Any fan editor wanting to tackle this show will have a much harder time if they watch this deep-dive analysis!
Well done!
I would love to get a link to this.
Just now seeing this, Spence.
Every cut you make is pretty much what I would have done aside from the Nuked fridge. Personally, I would eliminate that entire sequence. And it actually has nothing do with the fridge scene as I found that very much Indiana Jones.
Otherwise, looks great. Interested in seeing your take. =)
I smiled like a crazy old man when I saw those logos.
I’ve made it a rule from now on that any SW fanedit I do is going to have the 20th Century Fox logo and the old LFL logo. It just makes it feel like Star Wars.
Not to mention Disney could do it seeing as they own Fox now.
So my first version of this turned out better than anticipated. It’s “show it to people” ready, I think.
Message me if you want to check it out.
Message sent.
Spence! Long time, buddy.
I love the cuts here, but I’m afraid I liked this far less than you, but this still looks interesting.
I hated every moment of the Vader/Kenobi fight. I hated just about every moment in the Inquisitor base rescue sequence.
But to keep any form of story structure, I can see why you probably have to leave in what you did leave in.z
And it’s interesting enough to make me take a look if you want to toss me a link when ready.
Good to see ya again! Good to see another of the OG’s on here.
