To be honest, I've just been afraid. I feel like if I do finish it and then release it, you guys won't like it and I'll have spent two years working on something that everyone hates anyways and thus preventing me from doing ESB and ROTJ (which are the two I am most looking forward to doing). I was also thinking of changing the beginning to the a re-cut sequence of ROTJ with Vader watching Luke being killed and then fade into Renascent or just leaving this for the beginning to ROTJ or just scrapping the idea completely.

The main issue is that I have all these ideas that I would like to realize, but it is difficult to do so considering I'm working with pre-existing footage...

I dunno, what do you guys think?

Gotta pipe in on this one. I've told others this, so now it's your turn.

Who are you editing this for? If you're concerned if whole mass is going to like your edit, you're in for disappointment.

Make the fanedit that YOU want to see. That's it. Please yourself, and surely someone on here will like it as you do. Not everyone, but those who agree with your choices.

I do agree that you should at least fix the glitches in your edit, but other than that, stop trying to please people, and edit this thing the way you see that it works.

Heck, you don't even have to release it. Just that it was fun, and it's what you wanted to see.

I'm getting off my soapbox now, but seriously, personally, I'd like to see your personal version of this type edit if you decide to release it. =)

A very interesting article with Gary Kurtz:

I want to see Luke walking off into the sunset... What a way to end the series... =/
