Reconstructing the prequels from what was implied in the original trilogy

  1. Make Qui-Gon Obi-Wan’s elder brother.
  2. In the Naboo saber fight, Maul cuts off Qui-Gon’s arm. Right before Maul can finish Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan uses a mind trick to sneak up on Maul and kill him.
  3. Qui-Gon takes the role of Count Dooku. He escapes the Republic, leads the Separatists, yada yada. The key difference is that he is not in league with Sidious.
  4. Anakin slays Qui-Gon instead of Dooku at the start of ROTS.

Basically make it so that the character of Dooku does not exist and his role gets transferred to Qui-Gon, the Secessionist Light Side Templar.

I think a complete reboot is needed. Not restructuring. Qui-Gon has no business being a major character at all. Obi-Wan should be a full-fledged Jedi Knight and aged enough that he’s had a few apprentices. Not to mention that in midst of 20 years, Obi Wan goes from looking like he’s in his late 30’s and then 80 in A New Hope. His age needs adjusting.

Naboo had no purpose. Alderaan needs to be a major planet in the films. We all know why.

I like the idea of uniforms. I too feel like it was strange the Tattooine clothing line becomes the Jedi robes.

I have a lot of thoughts about re-imagined prequels… Just need time to lay them all out.

These are interesting ideas.

I’ve also contemplated the issue of Luke using his Skywalker name. Sine we really can’t get away from that I think the thing to do is:

  1. Make Obi-Wan the protagonist of the film. He’s the character we follow in the trilogy.
  2. Play this thing out where Anakin has no idea of kids at all. Maybe he’s been made to believe Amidala is dead by episode 2 in a very convincing way. I think the only way to help this as mush as possible is to portray it as Anakin has no clue kids were conceived or born at all.

That last bit would have to be achieved by having a lot have to happen in Episode 2. Maybe “The act” happens in episode 2, but the fake death of Amidala happens there as well which would plunge him deeper into the dark side.

The third film takes place 9 months later. The birth of the twins occurs, and a side-bar adventure is Padme going through a series of events to hide the kids, and act that at one point leads to a sacrificial death. None of which Anakin is privy to as he’s busy with his Jedi Holocaust.

Erasing the Prequels Entirely

I’ve actually been toying around with this idea. I’ve elected to make my Rogue One edit into episode III, but I’ve been thinking of just having Star Wars movies that remove the “episode” part. Fixes a lot of issues.

I’ve considered both of these ideas. I’m actually holding out for these star wars stories to give me at least two more pre-classic trilogy films that could work as EP I and II. If not, I may drop episodes numbers as well.

Uploading it to something like imgur and posting the link is good enough.

And what’s wrong with a cult, sir?

Looks like some people here don't like digital-fanedits.com I think it was a good site and I had my edits there because Fanedit.org Gave me a hard time or at least one person did never even reviewed my second submission and after a year that person could not come up with a reason for it.  Oh well as far as Digital Fanedits I am working out some things with Anti-Matter

Hey Neglify! its your old Pal BloodLust!

By the way I am already in talks with the CW and Producers of The Original

they are interested in my Original Fan-Edit.

 I don't know what you're talking about, but I personally loved digital-fanedits.com. =)

Terminator films
Time

I didn't read your spoilers, but it's a shame you didn't like it.

I hated the trailers for the simple reason they spoiled what could have been a great twist with John Connor.

Also thought Reese was horribly cast. Looks like he just came out of Planet Fitness asking people, "Do you even lift, bro?" Reese was supposed to appear disheveled and looking like he hasn't eaten in a month. Jai should have played a Terminator. Bad casting. Who could have been a better Reese?

Anyway, I'll still go see it because I stupidly hold hope that I'll like it.

Star Wars : Episode I - The Ancient Lore [Episode I - REMAKE]
Time

It's all fascinating in concept.

Questions.... Are these videos laid out chronologically? Also, will Palpy always speak some strange new tongue? I mean, I get that you had to do that to force your narrative changes. But it seems to me if you're going through the trouble of changing voices, why not find someone who can give you fresh Palpy dialogue so that half of your film doesn't become a foreign film with the Neimodians also with a language change.

Also, I recommend you find a new method of concealing the hologram face. Blurring looks like it's an episode of COPS. Instead I would create some shadows over his face. There are ways to achieve this in After Effects.

And a personal thought. Gui-Gon with a purple saber seems off to me. And I hated the purple saber at the get go. If you're trying to illustrate his rogue nature then I would think other colors that have not even been used. Yellow comes to mind.

That's all I can contribute at this point not knowing much else. If you need help, feel free to ask for it! These are some strong/bold ideas. I think you should push forward, but really think about the quality at the end of the day. I've learned that lesson in the past to be sure! =) Good luck!
