STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Good morning, folks.

I have been trying to snag the 1080 copy of this for several days now. I’m using Jdownloader and it’s telling me it will complete in 12 days.

Does anyone have a .MOV of this somewhere on a google drive that I can download from seeing as it’s been out for a bit now?

Thanks regardless!

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

A personal edit of mine has that aspect cut out of Rogue One. =)

I cannot believe we’re having the Flipper Debate again over a decade later. 😄 Ady removed the flipper arm after coming to the same conclusion the original crew must have, that it just begs the question of how he held a gun in the first place. But instead of following the original crew’s “just throw any arm on the floor”, Adywan made it the good Doctor’s. There’s no reason for him to change that.

There is a reason. It’s canonical and it’s the correct character from the original film.

You may disagree, but don’t say there is “no reason”.

I’ve said it time and time gain, canon means NOTHING when doing a fan edit. Why does the “Great Flipper Debate” keep rearing its head? lol. Anyway, you see Ponda in the cantina with flipper like hands when he is at the bar. Yet the hand belongs to none of them when we saw it cut off. There was no way at the time for me to replace the flipper hands at the bar with the “furry” hand we see severed. So i originally replaced the fur hand with the correct flipper. But that didn’t look right on screen. So , as we see the Doctor reaching for his gun, it was logical to swap it out for his. And it worked. But, i created a prop to do that shot. One i no longer have. Now it’s being done in 1080p i can not upscale the very low res footage i originally created and use it in the 1080p edit. I do now, however, MAYBE have the ability to remove the flippered hands from the shots where we see him at the bar and replace them with furry hands, so the original hand can come back. Especially now since we see him with the furry hands in Rogue One (Damn you Gareth. lol)

DREAM Clone Wars idea

I just wish I had the skillset to do this myself.

But yes to what you said.

I’ll probably end up using this scene- likely heavily VFX filtered though- in the Scipio episode of my TCW series, as a kind of dream/flashback. I’ve always wanted to pair these scenes with the Scipio episodes because the Scipio story shows a lot of Anakin’s possessiveness towards Padmé, and with this scene in the viewer’s mind I think that it could be recontextualised as the only real on-screen raw reaction of Anakin’s loss of Ahsoka.

SSWR's Attack of the Clones - Alternate Timeline Edit (WIP)
Time

SSWR!!! You’re back. Just now seeing!

Whatever you’re working on, I’m ready for it.

Like the new kiss scene. Works a lot better for sure.

The first assignment works.

The “did you hear what they said?” seems off a bit. Maybe because they look like they are 200 feet away.

When I’ve tinkered with that scene, I just cut it a bit after Kenobi and Typho’s dialogue, and then you see the ship take off.

Anyway, keep it up. You’re very gifted.

If you need a workprint viewer, PLEASE reach out to me!!

Hello again peoples
Wanted to drop another video here and see about getting some feedback particularly with the dialogue. Again, I’m using my voice only temporarily, so, aside from not liking my vocal performance, does the dialogue itself work?

https://youtu.be/1yTsM0-mRHQ

Main things I’ve done with this clip:
Altered the music to change the atmosphere of the scene. I’m not completely sold on the soundtracks I’m using BUT it gives the “feeling” I want to convey. I don’t think any of the pieces I’m using are in the same key and I just don’t know enough about music to know if it’s really a problem or not.

Created a shot of Padme not knowing how to respond to what Dorme says. Padmes “then my jedi protector will have to prove how good he is” isn’t particularly bad imo but I couldn’t find another way to cut around the little Obi/Anakin exchange without removing this line.

Cut Obi-Wans berating Anakin about doing anything without consulting him or the council. In this edit, Obi does teach Anakin…but less Master/Student and more like an older wiser guy showing a younger guy the ropes, if you will.

Anakin hears a noise and looks up thinking it could be trouble. I’d like feedback on this too. I’ve liked this idea for a long time but hadn’t implemented it until now. I’d like to know if you think it works…if it adds anything to the scene.

This is where it gets a bit iffy:
-“what are you thinking about?”
-“this is my first assignment on my own…thought you should know.”
Does this exchange work? or what if I cut Padmes line altogether? they walk along in silence for a few seconds then Anakin just blurts out his lines?

-“did you hear what they said about us?”
-“yeah”
-both laugh
Did this exchange make sense? Did you find yourself following along?
I could revert his dialogue back to “don’t worry, we have R2 with us” and that would work well with the new R2 shot I’ve added.

You guys are my Brian Trust. What do ya think?

Merry Christmas! As you guys know, I’ve been working on the original Tatooine matte painting for a while. Here you can watch the results of my work! Also - I decided to keep the original timing, so Tantive IV will no longer fly with a camera movement 😃

(edit) It may not look that good because of the YouTube compression.

Been gone a while and just now seeing this project.

Well done here! Ready to see the rest of the shot! =)

The Rise Of Skywalker — Official Review and Opinions Thread
Time

There hasn’t been a perfect Star Wars film since ESB for me personally. But if you dislike something, you find holes.

It’s not hard to pick a film apart.

Part of the reason I enjoyed Rise was that my 9-year-old daughter and I had a blast. I’m wondering if it takes a kid’s mind to appreciate Star Wars in 2020?

Anyway, to each their own. I enjoyed the snot out of it,

I’m sorry to say you just plain don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s not a matter of noticing it or not. Show me a shot and I can tell you if it’s on sticks, a dolly, a crane, or handheld. Shaky cam is handheld photography, plain and simple. That’s just what it is. And I’ve seen TFA enough to know that there’s literally only two shots in the movie with handheld photography, when they’re in the basement of Maz’s castle during the FO attack. There’s also a scene on the Falcon with simulated handheld, but you can tell it’s still on sticks. There’s nothing else in the film that’s “shaky” (besides arguably a couple effects shots). That’s it.

This… All of this.
