Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' - special project (* unfinished project *)
Time

Hi, I’m working on a Blu-Ray fan project about this Disney feature and I’m stuck in a dilemna that I want to share with you people, if your interested by it.

First, I want to put the 3D version in, since that apparently, it the best High resolution transfer of the film (corrected in the edit) and do have a better color palette (more accurate to the original, according to some). Unfortunately I can’t bring myself to chose if I should keep the original one too (a LD rip with a rip of the original Work in progress LD too) even for preservation sake.

About the 3d version, I thought to work on the color timing of it so the image would be closer to the LD, but unfortunately I lack the knowledge  necessary to work on that, even on after effects and avisynth. If anibody can help with that, thanks.

Added to this would be the new film’s workprint (both this and the WIP LD have some differences, like the edited out Gaston’s skulls in the end). I’ve heard that the original WIP had a making of documentary of it’s ows. Is that true ? If yes, that would be interesting to preserve. Does anyone here has the LD.

Anyway, I’ll bring more details to this later.

Need help for color matching (animation video) footage)
Time

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to match colors between too video footages (animation) of the same film ? What I mean is that I'm trying to color correct a recent release of an animation movie by matching it's color (that had been messed up) with an earlyer release of the same movie with the right colors pallette. I know that avisynth can (probably) do something like that, but since it's a heavily scripts based program and that since I didn't found yet a good step-by-step tutorial to use it with the right filter(s), I can't really use it. I tryed using the "match color " function and the batch tools in photoshop (frame by frame), but it did'n work since the reference images never change during the process, only the "images to processed" works. So, I'm stuck for now.

Any suggestions, solutions or detailed tutorials will be welcomed.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - uncensored HDTV airing(s) (Released)
Time

You said you wanted to check out more possible edits, IMDB forums have something that has not been discussed here yet, and I don't know if it is true or not, but you would be the man to ask....

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096438/board/nest/212271838?p=1

Well I'm sure that if we can get a clear image of the "Rigid Tools" poster, some of us can recreate it & re-insert it in the HD version. All it takes now is to find a good image of it. By the way, it's been discussed on another forum titled "Do theese films need preservation ?".

Ok. Just rewind a little please. Moth3r just said that when two images from different sources from the same thing (a film here), the image become gray when (almost) nothing has bee changed. So, the "censorings" here, since they're not big (a few frames) can be directly & easily corrected with photoshop. Although, let's see first if there isn't any other "easter eggs" in both versions of the film.

Disney's Theatrical Animated Features: Best Sources List
Time

Hi, I just saw this new thread about Disney features and wanted to wich you all good luck for your work. I hope I can be of assistance. I'm actually doing a fan project based on Beauty and the Beast putting the theatrical image presentation the the origrinat theatrical workprint presentation (LD) with the Blu-Ray reworked workprint image and the 3D (reverted to 2D) Blu-Ray presentation. I hope it'll work. If anybody wants to help me with that, i'm actually looking for a good skilled digital artist who can rework some images, so I can add some new elements seamlessly to the film itself (contact me in PM for more details about this, please).

For the titles released in BR, did anybody here tryed to "correct" some of the tempered elements (colours and digital artifacts, mostly) with after effects or photoshop ? Maybe it can be done (not just by one person, of course, but still) ?

Anybody wants to give it a try ?

Help: looking for... Disney's 'The three little pigs' (1933) original and unedited - from Japanese LD.
Time

Hi, I’m looking for the japanese Disney LD that have this short with the original image and sound (undited & uncensored).

Here’s the informations of the LD

Do not confond with the american LD edition that have only the image uncensored (audio is edited), or even the actual dvd editions (WD Treasures collection and others, all regions) since they are also partly or completely censored (image unedited and censored audio or image & sound edited/censored). The same goes for those two japanese LD: Academy Award’s Shorts and The Academy Award Review Of Walt Disney Cartoons.

So, if anybody have the japanese LD of [Disney’s Favorite Stories: The Three Little Pigs](Disney’s Favorite Stories: The Three Little Pigs) and can share it online or any other way, it’ll be very appreciated.
