Agreed, Chewtobacca. I'm trying to create a BR out of the 3d version with the WIP version in alternate view/angle instead of PIP. As soon as my rough authoring is ready, I will share it (privately) with forum members in order to see if other amelioration can be made.

Personally, I would say, why not getting all the Disney Era's Major classics on LD and upload them with their bonuses ? Seriously, all the dvd releases (second generation) are a mess and also the Blu Rays (not including BatB 3d). At least, the LD and 1st generation dvds are worth preserving.

Hi, sorry, but I totally disagree with the usenet, especially if we have to pay for torrent hosting/seeding while there are good, free and private torrent hosters avalaible. Myspleen is not the only one on the internet and I'm sure that we can find other alternatives that to resort to paying services.

That's my personal opinion. Let's keep it free at least, some people here in different countries have to pay very high fees just to use internet for their basic uses. No need to scare them away with more money spending.

Forget super 8 format. these are no way good format to base on, since the all date post 60s for market.

Next objective, getting an unfaded film copy pre-1969 of the full movie or the tv special. I know it's extremely difficult to come by, but not impossible. In worst case, we can use the youtube video as model, existing images/cells and ask to all the artists on this forum to to help us recreate what's missing  and add it seamlessly to the film in hd. Hard team work, yes. But very much possible to do.

Looks like a good idea. But what about the audio ? Will you capture it like analog audio with a stereo/rca output from the projector ? Because the method I posted earlyer showed how to do an optical capture of it and re-convert it.

Hi, just a question if you go to a good film transfer lab, how much will cost to get it transfered ?

Maybe we can collectively raise some funds to finance the transfer and share it ? Yes, I do know it'll be more gratifying to do the transfer the transfer by yourself, but if it still doesn't work, there is that solution in last resort with the adventage to be done by a reputable professional.

If your new way does work effectively, I hope you will share with us dummies (:-) how you did it because other people will be able to do so with other film rarities and also specialised labs for film transer are becoming scarce and their prices aren't gettint cheaper (especially with the digital technology takeover on films).

Let us know of your progress (especially on the process) if possible.
