I'd like to bring it to whoever manages the Wordpress site's attention that many of the links to preview clips to ESB:R are broken/lead to removed videos. 

Ady, is it possible for you to give us an update on what's left to be done before the release?

I actually like the hologram in the AT-AT.  They're rare in the OT but I think they're cool.

I absolutely love the edit and it's miles better (to say the least) than the SE.  It was meant to be an improved SE with updated effects, modernizing technology, improving continuity, while keeping the great films intact. 

Great news, Ady!  I'm glad to see that ESB:R will be finished soon!  And I'm excited that you're working on both ANH:R HD and ROTJ:R at the same time, this is exciting!

I'd like to see them tie in to the originals and even the prequels in some ways.  Like for example take a little something from a few of the films and incorporate it somehow.  I hope it doesn't end up like a complete unrelated trilogy.

Oops!  Sorry guys.. need to brush up a little.  It's funny cause I recently watched ANH:R in anticipation for ESB:R, lol. 

But still I stand by with what I said.  For me it always seemed like ol' Ben actually does recognize the droid, he just doesn't admit it. 

In any case, R2 isn't referred to as R2D2 in front of Obi-Wan anyway.

Also remember that there are many "R2" units.  This one happens to be "R2-D2" but the line Leia says about "information is in this R2 unit" implies that there are many R2 units around.  R2 is never referred to as "R2-D2" in ANH (at least I don't think) so it's certainly plausible that Obi-Wan just is confused.  I mean, he has been just chilling on Tatooine for 20 years, lol.

Personally I couldn't care less what this thing is called. As long as ESB:R eventually comes out, I'm happy.

Hopefully things go well for you while you are moving in. Moving into a new place is always a little stressful so take your time and don't rush things.

I also like the idea of not even showing Anakin becoming Vader... just end it with him burning (take out the last moans so he goes quiet, ie. audience thinks he's dead) and Obi looking on.  Then (as Muddyknees I believe wrote) you see Vader in ANH and go with it.  That way when you get to EMPIRE and Vader does the reveal, the kids go "Holy Shit!  I thought he was dead!"  Combine that with the whole "fake Harvey Dent-ish" funeral, and it makes Obi Wan and Yoda a little more dimensional as characters.

 If you go that route, then you also have to take out the whole "A pupil of mine named Darth Vader..." speech Obi-Wan gives in ANH.  Because it would be pretty obvious that he was talking about Anakin if one had seen ROTS. 

I just want this thing to be released, couldn't care less how long it takes..

Most anticipated film in a long time for me.

Absolutely love the new clip.  I just would like to say kudos to you Ady.  I would get so frustrated with everyone telling me that the lightsaber should be 4 frames instead of 6, etc.  I'd be like "I worked hard on this and I'm not gonna change it dammit!!"  Haha.

Keep up the good work and hopefully things go well with the project.  I'd love to see a May 2012 release!

The climax of the whole film, arguably the WHOLE SAGA, has been ruined.  All of the changes I can accept, but seriously?!  What the hell, man?!

Wow, I can't believe it.. I just can't.  No fucking way...

These changes are the most hilarioius thing, but after I laugh at them, I feel sadness.. now my only hope to watch a good quality Star Wars movie on Blu Ray is a fan edit..

Wow, this is really too bad. I am very interested in this edit, and based on people's responses to the OP's posts, it is someting to get excited about. It's too bad that the OP deleted his posts, because I would have certainly liked to see what was in his edit.

Does anyone know where I can find some screens of this edit?

Well I realize that there are many movies where it doesn't matter if you already know what happens, but I just think (in my opinion) that if the prequels were made first, more people would have like them.

But the main issue of the prequels is the directing. George shouldn't have directed the prequels, if someone else would have directed them, they would have turned out better IMO.

The prequels were doomed from the start. We already know what happens. We already know who lives, and who dies.

It's hard to get in to a sequence with, say, Obi-Wan Kenobi, because we know that he lives, so he can't die. It's hard to get into a movie when you already konw what happens.

I believe that is the case for most Blu Ray players, but apparently my Marantz BD5004 isn't "region free."

OK well I think I have figured it out. I had downloaded the PAL DVD-9, and I guess my Blu Ray player doesn't support PAL DVD's, just NTSC DVD's. Which is weird, considering that every other DVD player in my North American home will play the PAL version of ANH:R. Well anyways I am downloading the NTSC version now, hopefully this works.

If it does, thank you for making a NTSC version, Ady!
