Why don't you just write "piece of crap" there while you're at it ....

Jesus ...

Indeed, I know what you mean - I had second thoughts d/ling it initially with such a title. Totally clear what is meant when you read the NFO in the torrent, but would you click on the link with it thus titled ?

Wait a sec ... 3560 downloads? Completed?

That's a hell of a lot of people.

Especially considering that's a full 4.4 GB download which takes a while.

Well - obviously people are, title or not - the quality wins out

Taolar - if you're at 97%, finish downloading the old disc and enjoy! It's a good disc.

Amen to that, grabbed it over the weekend

Please seed then! There are currently no seeders...

Well assuming you're grabbing this off Demonoid, you might want to take it up with any of the 30 people currently seeding with me...

Amen to that, grabbed it over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it, from start to finish.

Never saw the bastardised 90's version - hugely glad I didn't waste my time on that - love Vincent Price's voicework.

Many thanks for all the hard work you must have put into this GG, it's a fantastically accomplished effort.

Eek - Not a clue (complete n00b here ) !

How would I find that out ? I'm using ADM's guide to the letter, so all the software etc. is exactly the same.

It is a 2hr 19 min project - so does that make a difference ?

I went ahead and split the project into 3 and have rejoined it together, however an original 4GB source is now 9GB. All a bit confusing...

Cheers,

Many thanks to adigitalman for the exhaustative guide.

One issue I'm having with Step 3 - turning 4:3 into 16:9 is that the source I'm working with is 2 hours long (i.e. I need to change a whole movie from non-anamorphic cinemascope to anamorphic) - the output file from VirtualDubMod is a projected 250GB and I only have a 150GB drive ! Is there a way to modulate the size of the outputted file without compromising quality (too much ?). Probably a pipe dream, I know - but thought I'd ask

Or do I simply do half the project and then rejoin it to the other half ?? Now there's a thought !

Thanks in advance !

Whilst France hardly played well - I don't think you could argue that Portugal were the better team on the night.

Pretty shabby game all round, but without Barthez's typical clown antics and Saha's prime example of why he should never set foot on an International football pitch again, Portugal never threatened all game.

(I did enjoy Ronaldo's tears at the final whistle - is that wrong )

Now that was a great game.

Shame there had to be a winner, but glad it didn't go to penalties. Over the 120 I'd say Italy just edged it, but I think it's one of those games that will totally out-perform the final no matter who goes through tomorrow.

Strange that very often the semi in many sports will always eclipse the final. I guess there's more to lose in the final and it always comes off as edgier...

Well done Germany - I'm sure you would have taken a semi-final slot at the start of the competition...

(you do know that Sven has been replaced already and had been before the cup started YIYF ? It's Steve McClaren - appointed in May)

I'm all for best man for the job personally. If Sven had led us to three consecutive finals - he'd be proclaimed as an honorary Englishman ! Since he didn't - it's all "the only man who can see us straight is an Englishman" well... Alf Ramsey aside: Keegan, Hoddle, Venables, Robson, Taylor, Greenwood - need I continue ?

If I was in England right now I would probably be really depressed because I'd be feeding off the emotions of the whole country, but as a lone Englishman in the ass crack of America, I'm just 'whatever'.

Don't you worry YIYF - the whole country is really like that if the barometer of being out and about in London (and that's even Oxford Street !) is anything to go by. No vilification of Rooney as there was with Beckham in 98. The kid did little wrong bar raise the hand. The whole "stamping" is moot since the ref has said that's not what he was sent off for - it was raising his hand. If that's the case (and it's alledged that Rooney will be disciplined for "violent conduct") I'd argue that even in my own Sunday league team or any competitive sport at any level - when the opposition blatantly looks to get you riled you have to be a man of huge character to be able to walk away for that. Oh, and that means the whole of the Argentine squad should be done for the same charge as well - since they were far more violent in conduct than Rooney ever was yesterday.

Just want the last games to be enjoyable in all honesty and that the best team wins, on form that should lead to a Germany v France final, with France just edging it...
