Can someone reup this? Wanted to see a more serious version of Batman & Robin. Was cutting it to 66 minutes really nessesary? It couldn’t have been THAT cheesey.

I haven’t seen it either, but I wonder if it could be lenghtened by adding/ replacing all of Bane’s scenes with those from The Dark Knight Returns?

With the exception of the BGM I think the scene is fine just the way it is in ANH:R, unless I’m missing something…

I think it’s great also, but I think the especially the new music is what makes it better! But if he can film a new scene, even better!

That’s a cool idea too. For the best versions of all the episodes online so far, check out SMBSS Restored and SMBSS Restored- Legend of Zelda Fridays on YouTube. The second one is run by me. We take DVD footage (where available) and add in the missing songs and footage.

I can send you DVD quality versions of the above episodes when I get a chance. Higher quality versions of George Washington, Sierra Brooklyn, Magic Love and the Tutti Fruttis have just been found on German DVD releases. Some only have German language, but the best possible versions of everything will be created before the end of the year.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but someone on Youtube has been uploading English episodes of the Super Mario Bros Super Show that appear to be DVD rips, but have the song covers intact and have a Saban logo instead of a DiC logo. Does anyone know where these prints are coming from? They seem to be from European DVDs since Saban had the international distribution rights

No problem at all. I’m still working on this, just very sloooooowly. I haven’t seen those personally, but yeah, it’s probably UK DVDs. A few of those have the songs intact, but I don’t think any non-US release had commercial bumpers. The guy who runs SMBSS Restored is a friend of mine and he has uploaded all of the non-Zelda episodes using NTSC DVD footage combined with other sources for the missing segments to create “perfect” versions. I’m doing the same, on my channel, SMBSS Restored- Legend of Zelda Fridays, although mine is incomplete. I’m in the process of moving, so it’ll be a while before I can do more for this project.

Beavis and Butt-head: Not the Mike Judge Collection (need bonus discs!)

Excuse me for bumping an old thread, but I have a question; does V2 of the King Turd Collection feature the transfers from the Mike Judge Collection Volume 3 or are they VHS rips?

Also something to point out, Nose Bleed on the Mike Judge Collection Volume 3 extends a few scenes by a couple of seconds, but it removes 2 seconds of Butt-Head laughing after coming up with an idea to fix Beavis’ bloody nose once and for all (though it can be found on the Innocence Lost/Chicks N’ Stuff DVD from Time-Life). What does the King Turd Collection have for that episode (meaning adding the 2 seconds back in)?

Oh wow! I forgot all about this. Apparantly I was sent copies of all these DVDs, but I don’t remember anything. Not sure if I ever even got them.

A Facebook user got the 50th Anniversary Edition DVD of Charlie Brown’s All-Stars and they confirmed that A Charlie Brown Celebration is included as a bonus special!

It’s about time! I didn’t even know that was coming out! I have All Stars on the 60s(?) Collection and Celebration on my PAL set (which I converted to NTSC), but I’ll probably still pick this up! Awesome!

Peanuts Specials: Coca-Cola Product Placement Restorations (Released)

Pretty sure that unless the contents change, meaning different specials on a disc together, that all the rereleases are the same transfers, just repackaged.

I know this is the case for Snoopy and Friends and Charlie Brown and Friends, which are just repackaged versions of Snoopy’s Reunion and disc 2 from 70s Vol. 2. 99% sure all different releases of the Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving DVDS are the same discs from the first WB releases.

EPISODE COMPARISONS

The episodes on the DVDs Peanuts: The Emmy Honored Collection and He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown have newly remastered HD to SD transfers, with 5.1 Surround Sound replacing the mono or stereo soundtracks. Here are screenshots taken with VLC, all on the same computer, comparing these with the old releases of the same episodes, along with the episode length of each release.

EPISODES ON PEANUTS: THE EMMY HONORED COLLECTION DVD:

You’re the Greatest, Charlie Brown
(also on 1970s Vol. 2 DVD and You’re a Good Sport DVD, didn’t do comparison)

She’s a Good Skate, Charlie Brown

24:22 (‘Emmy’ DVD):

Why, Charlie Brown, Why?
(first DVD release)

You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown
(also on 1970s Vol. 2 DVD and You’re a Good Sport DVD, didn’t do comparison)

EPISODES ON HE’S A BULLY, CHARLIE BROWN DVD:

He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown
21:35 (You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown Deluxe Edition DVD):

21:39 (‘Bully’ DVD):

It seems that for this episode, the only difference is the interlacing was removed and the soundtrack was updated to 5.1. In any case, the old audio track is a chore to sync up.

It was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown
(also on 1960s DVD, didn’t do comparison)

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to do it yet, as I had to get ready for a ltitle business trip/ vacation.

What I did so far is I made a list of all the Peanuts Warner Bros DVDs by release order, not counting Motion Comics, the TV show or This is America. The ones that came out in 2015 or later (which are just those two, He’s a Bully and Emmy Honored) are new HD based transfers. I’m not sure if it’s every episode, but I do know that none of the episodes on these two releases have the mono or stereo soundtracks, only 5.1, even the TV episode on “Bully”.

I will post my findings Thursday when I’m back in town.

So the DVDs “He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown” and “Peanuts: The Emmy Honored Collection” (AKA almost the 1980s Collection) have HD to SD remasters of most/all of the specials on them. This is all fine and dandy, but they also only have Dolby 5.1 audio tracks. I’m having trouble trying to sync up the mono tracks from the older DVDS to the better video, for consistency.

For some reason, the newer versions are all a few seconds longer. I tried lengthening the mono audio to the 5.1’s length, but it didn’t quite work. Any idea why they would be longer in HD? Is this normal for all HD to SD comparisons?

…I purchased (the) Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection (from Google Play. For some reason,) it did not come with the exclusive bonus features. This is why I was looking for them.

I also posted what the digital exclusive extras were a few posts ago:

marioxb said:

(The digital exclusives for Episodes 1-6 are:)
The theatrical cut of The Podrace scene, 12 minutes

Conversations and Discoveries from the Inside, 27 minutes, prequel trilogy

Conversations and Discoveries from the Inside, 39 minutes, original trilogy

(And from Episode 7:)
Over 20 minutes of TFA Target-exclusive bonus content.

Personally, I’m not buying 7 movies again that I already own the DVD and Blu Ray of, just for the extras. I hate digital copies anyway. If I want a “digital” (aka disc-less, as DVD and Blu Ray are already digital) copy, I’ll just make one from my DVD. I believe that trading of just bonus material is A-OK with moth3r, right?
