Yes to all of the above. I am the marioxb from gamefaqs. OK, so ALMOST perfect then. As far as the holiday special, I haven't watched it yet. I never even knew it aired on tv at the time and I don't wanna watch it on my computer. I have the first angrysun version from myspleen. It appears there is a newer (better) version there now? I only want to burn one of them to DVD and if the other version is better, that'll be the one. If the only differene is say, that it was filmed from a different TV channel, then who cares?

So, can anyone tell me, what are the exact differences with the two Holiday Specials on myspleen? I don't wanna spend a week or two downloading something that I already have. Plus I don't have too much HD space right now.

Why is Leia a princess?

"Maybe his memory is perfect and he's just never been exposed to the Star Wars Databank, or whatever piece of EU tie-in literature established Bail Organa as a king/prince/viceroy/tsar/whatever? Because they never made a point of it in the films."

That would be the one. I don't really know if it wasn't mentioned in a film. I don't like to read.

Inserting deleted scene of Yoda's exile into ANH??
Time
I was thinking about this the other day. What if the deleted Yoda arriving on Dagobah scene from RotS was inserted into ANH right when Aldeeran blows up? Yoda looks like he is sad when the door opens, maybe it could be because a planet just blew up? Then it goes right into the scene where Obi senses it. That way Yoda would be in all 6 movies. I also think it would be cool if Bail Organa and Palpatine were added.

It really wouldn't work I guess since Yoda looks a bit different than when we see him next in Empire. Which is ok if there's a 20 year span there, but not in the couple years between ANH and Empire. Also, could it be assumed that Yoda spent about 20 years flying around looking for a planet to live on, maybe trying out others for a bit before settling on Dagobah? If he could be edited to look more like the ESB Yoda, just in this one scene, maybe this could work? What do you think?

Oh and please, this post is for people who actually LIKE the prequels like me. If you ask me, I'm up for every change. I honest to God love seeing Hayden at the end of Jedi.

Nope. I am totally serious. I agree with Lucas 100% on every change. In fact, I might even be as bold to say that Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie. Probably 3, 6, 5, 4, 2, 1 is the order I like the movies from best to worst. That being said, i love all of them. Phantom Menace was awesome. Not as good as the others maybe, but it was cool. I really don't need any of the fan edits, they are perfect the way they are now, the newest versions. Now maybe if someone would fan edit to fix up the bad parts like digital yoda into TPM, fixing Luke's lightsaber in the ship, making Vader's redder, stuff like that I would go for. I'd actually like to have the 1997 verisions on DVD also, just so I can have all three versions. I just love everything fitting together like a puzzle, even if you have to cut the edges off some of the pieces so they fit, as George has done. I just wish they would have added Jimmy Smits to ANH. That would have been cool. Maybe just before Aldeeran blew up, he could be there talking to his wife, waiting for Leia to return.

I also love the Ewoks and even the TV movies about them. I was a kid when Star Wars was released (hmm, in 83 I was 7) and I will always see them as kids movies. I love kids movies though, and will always think of myself as a kid.

I agree.

I know it's been said before, probably on this thread... hell, probably by me, but it doesn't make any sense because it implies that Anakin was never redeemed. I'd go into more detail, but... I don't feel like it. But I do agree it was a crappy job nevertheless.

I think more people wouldn't even notice or care until they see someone on the internet tell them. I wouldn't have even noticed 99% of the SE changes if the internet didn't tell me what they were. First of all it's a 10 second scene and it looks just fine to me. What do you mean Anakin was never redeeemed? Hayden grew up into Sebastian, as seen when the mask was revmoved. Qui Gon learned how to become a ghost and taught Obi Wan and Yoda. At some point one/ both/ all three of them taught Anakin, probably after he died in episode III. The moment Anakin died was in Episode III. Anakin and Mace Windu died together. Darth Vader is who died on the Death Star, reverting back to Anakin after his death. Makes perfect sence. I hope this is something maybe an episode of the TV series elaborates on.

I think this explains it pretty well.

I was only 1 when A New Hope was released and to this day I would never have even known the name of the alien dude that Han Solo shot at the table in the cantina until the internet told me the scene was changed. I would have never even noticed. I love the fact that Hayden Christensen is the sprit of Anakin and I totally understand the reasoning behind it. My ex girlfriend saw the movies with me in chronological order (all only on official DVD except pt 3 in the theater, and a DVD-r of the then-unreleased Clone Wars Vol. 2). She never saw the original movies until last year and only the DVD versions. She didn't have any problems understanding the continutity or anything. She was thrilled to see Hayden at the end of Jedi (partly because she thinks he's cute). I just love how everything is tied together and matches up. Even Leia remembering her mom. I assume Bail told her some info about her growing up and partly rememebers her just because of the force. I can't wait for the 3D versions, the 2007 versions and the TV series! Hopefully at least one episode of the series will have little Leia watching "home hologram movies" with her parents showing Padme before she died. The ONLY reason I want the OOT is for completest and comparison reasons. The main version I will always watch will be the official DVDs, until Lucas updates them even further. Just call me George Lucas Jr. because I would have done everything the same way. Even Jar Jar. I saw Phantom Menace in the theater with my grandmother, parents and sisters. The females loved Jar Jar and wouldn't have liked the movie at all without him there. They said he was funny and I agree with them. Just like George did in the documentary (which I started to watch it for the first time yesterday), The Beginning. He said something like, we've never had a character as funny as Jar Jar before.

List of all official Star Wars DVDs?
Time
Just trying to collect them all. Let's see besides the movies (1-6 and the 4 corresponding bonus discs included with them) is this everything?:

Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol. 1
Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol. 2
Star Wars: Animated Adventures: Droids
Star Wars: Animated Adventures: Ewoks
Star Wars: Ewok Adventures
Star Wars: R2-D2: Beneath the Dome
Star Wars: A Musical Journey (with Ep3 Soundtrack)
*The Story of Star Wars (Wal-Mart Ep3 movie bonus)
*that disc that came with a lightsaber or whatever
*those 2 Heroes and Villains newspaper DVDs from the UK

Did I miss anything? *These I don't have or know how to get anymore. Heroes/ Villians I can download though.

Why hasn't anyone uploaded the lightsaber or wal-mart discs yet? I don't care if they are dumb, I must have them anyway.

Can't really insert deleted scenes since they're so grainy... but maybe something to the effect of joining them into one movie? But that'd look like crap on a single layer disc.

Ah, forget it. Can't really do anything to improve on the source material.

I actually did this on VHS. I would like to try this on DVD sometime. And it would be in widescreen this time! Yeah!
