Other possibilities that might (or might not) be worth considering to keep the “fast cut”:
• BB8 reacting first (without TIE sounds), making Rey look up. However I’m not sure it makes sense with the direction Rey is looking in. I think Finn and Rey are on opposite sides of the castle so they wouldn’t be looking at the same thing anyway.
My 2 cents, could you mirror flip the Rey scene so she’s looking the other way?
Good luck with this. I would suggest using Shadows of the Empire soundtrack, classic themes but the viewer wouldn’t recognize them as ripped from an old movie.

Another point on Vaders MOTIVATION in the movie. Seems to me in SW77 He is not all about the plans, he wants the rebel base location, not impressed with the Death star or too concerned wit actually getting the plans or he would have went to tatooine personally. Did he know they were on tatooine and couldn’t bear to go back down where he used to live. He got Leia she knows where the base is that’s enough. Doesn’t even stay in the system to make sure the plans are retrieved, he takes leia straight to the death star— was Leia the only survivor because I bet most of the crew knows the location he can interrogate them also… so in this movie his motivation is ???

Fwiw I loved the Darth vorhees scene. Does it fit with what happens at the start of sw77…nooooooooo! But it is Vader and it is kick ass. And does match up with the separatist slaughter on mustafar. And the sandpeople masacre.
Also He becomes Vader after Mace L Jackson gets killed by big papa palpy. Starts turning at the sandperson slaughter.

They are playing dumb but plausibly. We’re on a diplomatic mission, blah blah, several transmissions were beemed to the ship by rebel spies. WE INTERCEPTED no trasmissions. Holding her is dangerous. traced the rebel spies to her, my only link to finding the base. Doesn’t seem like Vader is on a straight persuit. Perhaps Vader can see The tantive iv jump to hyperspace.
Fwiw I think the introductory Vader scene can come earlier it would be nice to have his presence felt. Whitesuit guy could know he’s in trouble and try to talk to Vader before tarkin takes over the DS
Long story long the 2 minutes of Vader ruling as might have to be cut and used on ANHR2 I think adywan has a life size tantive IV at his house he can use for some shots.
I’m a casual Pink Floyd fan. All I own is Dark Side of The Moon, Momentary Lapse of Reason, and The Division Bell. I like some other songs but not enough to get the full albums.
Wish you were here and animals are great albums. And the wall is a masterpiece, if you have some acid laying around try watching the wall the movie 3 or 4 times in a row and when you see the cat you know your worlds about to fall apart. It’s a life changer.
Really liked it, especially the Droid and the 70s mustaches on the rebel pilots sad ending Vader kicking as lots of good stuff. Blind guy also kicks ass. That being said…
Didn’t like forests gas mask sure looked like it was hooked to his lungs already. Mind read monster. 1970s vaccume cleaner backpack on blind man’s sidekick. The cgi mon calmarians bothered me worse than tarkin, wiche I thought they pulled off. Also too much non anh tech, could be cut down mostly just the weird looking planetary ties. And Vader looked kinda fake, can’t explain why probably the eyes. Add crawl.

3 the Imperial March during the transition is executed very well but the audio on that is noticably different
4 Although what is left of Grevious is pulled off awsomely, and astonishingly almost believable,(not the chase scene on the lizard that still bothers me but it’s good too_)You could almost cut Grevious and related stuff out of the Movie Entirely, For all you know Grevious Could be the Trade Federation Guy
5 I would Cut that robot talking guy with the Vader Voice too, Real Cheesy

But honestly I still dick around with it but nothing turns out well. My biggest problem is the audio watch it with the sound off it makes sense. I have a job in construction not A/V so I have very little exp.
I would like to get this project done before ep IX Secret Star Wars but I will probobly require some help.
As for an update I put a couple shots from the fanfilm THX in. It’s just some troopers spotting the shuttle but it helps. Also now Luke doesn’t leave untill right after the speeder chase. Using the wicket encounter luke tells leia Vader can sense him and leaves. Had to keep the speeder chase because of the Luke breaking scouts neck scene I found on hundsorfx thread. And it gives seperate on for Luke to leave without saying goodbyes to everyone.
Bummer I was looking forward to this. If you change your mind zipping it up into 500mb chunks and putting it on mediafire or zippyshare should keep the Google robots off it. Then check out fanedit.com and fanedit.info It would be a good place to catalog your edits, and would probly win fanedit of the month.
It looks really good, it would be a shame if your the only one who could view your good work.
