SMITH - Ray Liotta TV Series as a Full Length Movie (Released)
Time
Well at last the movie is finished got it down to 1hr and 53mins which is not to bad for a total run time of around near 5hrs the audio mixing into some scenes took a little longer than I thought and the mixing of scenes from some of the episodes changed in order to have a better direction, just have to watch it now as a stand alone movie to see if the pace of the movie fits but I think I will be very happy with the finished cut now, just going to work on a cover for it and Iam done.

I thought the show was great and had lots of potential, can't believe it was dropped after three Eps in the states the cast was A class for a Tv show and when you start work on editing it down I think this will work great just having to deside on what to drop and what to keep for pace, didn't want to loose the art theft job so have worked it in as a flash back! and the bullion job as the main thread of the movie, have also added some new credits but might redo these to look a bit move fancy but gunna leave that till the end as well as the dubbing get the editing down first and see what type of run time I've got, but Iam enjoying it, this is only my second fan edit but would love to share this one when finnished.

SMITH - Ray Liotta TV Series as a Full Length Movie (Released)
Time
It's had a full run here in England 6 episodes have been shown and the 7th and final one this Tues, so got 6 episodes to work on at the moment, but the way I'm doing it is the movie will detail just the gold bullion job that entire arc which lasted the first 5 episodes and had a more natural ending but will need the first episode to introduce the charaters and maybe the art theft will be shown in flashback and episode 6 to round off the jeff and revenge seeking surfer storyline, and to add a little more adult nature to it possibly drop a bit of strong language in, which is picked up from a few Ray Liotta movies... welll thats the plan.

Time

After watching the resent Ray Liotta TV show SMITH, I’ve had the idea to re’edit the 7 completed episodes into one full length movie in the style of HEAT, going to take a lot of mixing scenes and episodes up but I believe this will work as one complete action movie, just starting to work on it now while on a weeks holiday just wanted to know if its some thing fans would like to share?

Waterworld ABC Cut? A ton of info - see McFly's posts for details (Released)

Put a 1min clip up on Rapid share for you guys to look at, as the reverend said unfortunately it's the censored audio track, not as bad as could be just a case of dubbing over the certain scenes, as far as the water mark goes impossible to get rid of altogether but there is a programme around to blur the water mark ,DeLogo Filter for VirtualDub. but to the subject in hand the clip here is the download link.

No filtering off those caps just straight forward screen caps all be it shrunk to show a few stills, as I said before don't know how they compare mine was simply recorded off a video tape from a recording I did off the UK SCI-FI chanel and burnt to disc, if mine is the weaker transfer so be it, but just to let you know there is another transfer out there guys.

Hi guys just seen this thread, I have a copy of waterworld the extended cut that was shown once in the UK on the SCI FI channel it was shown around 8pm and it was the only time this extended cut was shown I know for a fact it's the extended cut but what should I look out for regarding cuts for violence or language it's been quite a while since I watched it but from what I remember it was uncut I think, the copy I had I did to DVD some time ago for my collection it was off sattelite and the quality is great, with menu only a static one I'am afraid had it some time now didn't know there was an interest in it, would gladly trade a copy for a fan edit or extended movie of interest to me. just PM me.

Info: Superman II Donner, and III & IV extended edits
Time
Hi guys new to the forum but big big fan of fan edits and after several weeks of editing and sound blending, colour correction, scene blends and sound level correction my fan edit of superman 2 is finished, and from a fans point of view I'am very happy with it, to go into detail regarding all of the cuts, trims and corrections would take me for ever, but I will give a very brief take for you.
Please bear in mind a lot of these scenes have being re'edited in an order I felt better suited the pace of the film.
used the original opening of superman the movie with Brando, didn't like the alternate takes in the Donner cut.
Kept the Paris stuff of Lester including his bomb exploding in space, hated the ropey effects of the Donner cut.
The release of the villians from the phantom zone is a mix of Donner footage and Lester footage but with sound of the Lester score but including Zods scream of free upon the explosion.
Edits to the space centre scenes Donner & Lester.
kept the scene of Clark kent crossing the road and crushing the taxi from Lester footage but this was tricky edited out Lois Lane in this sequence with lots of minor edits and sound alteration and one optical reframing of a scene, liked this scene but Lois was wearing different clothes for the scene that was to follow so she had to go.
Next was the Donner footage of Lois jumping out of the Window edited this scene to make it look like Perry White is thanking her for a good job in Paris, was a minor edit to the lasers coming from Kents eyes.
More use of Donner footage in Prison.
Mix of Donner edits and Lester edits at Niagra Falls.with no Test scenes of Reeves and Kidder would of being nice if they had filmed if correctly but hate the test screen feel to it and the hair styles so kept Lesters reveal.
This one became a major pain for me to correct and edit due to the poor condition of the deleted footage and different music score but did it, a mix of Donner,Lester and Donner deleted footage of Lex & Teschmacher getting to the Fortress of Solitude with colour correction, picture sharpning, music blends and footage edits.
My next edit may be liked or not but but I felt it worked better due to some bad effects of the Donner cut, kept the first part of the full body scenes of Brando in the Fortress but hated the floating head of him so some major edits of Susannah York being introduced with the second crystal but with a mixture of scenes and sound lines from both the Donner cut and the Lester Cut with the villans still being seen in this sequence.
Deleted foootage again, with again attempted clean up and colour correction of Lex and Teschmacher leaving the Fortress.
major section of Lester footage with the Villans arriving on earth and causing mahem, didn't like Donners hatchet job of these scenes.
Mix of Donner and Lester stuff at the Fortress with Kent and Lois with all the Brando stuff intact.
White House all Donner Scenes.
At the Daily Planet a mix of Donner and Lester stuff with the villans.
Deleted footage of the villans gaining entry to the fortress blended with first the Lester footage then a switch to the Donner stuff.
No artic police deleted scene didn't like the police taking the villans away but the destruction of the fortress is there with a minor edit.
Next the Lester stuff with the Kiss not the world spin of Donner, ok in the first film but not again.
Deleted footage of Kent remembering the guy in the dinner, sound and colour corrected with Lex escaping from Prison again think this works very well and leaves it open ended its also fun.
And finnished off with the original Lester ending.
After all that I'm very happy with it from a fans point of view, would love to share my vision with fans but not in a position to know how to do that, but can maybe share a few DVDs with Fans no charge just cover postage and blank dvd costs, its NTSC region o no menu as its taken me weeks to edit the movie without starting on menu screens, but 36 chapters. just drop me a line and please let me know what you think.

Superman 2 A True Fan Edit (Released)

Hi guys new to the forum but big big fan of fan edits and after several weeks of editing and sound blending, colour correction, scene blends and sound level correction my fan edit of superman 2 is finished, and from a fans point of view I’am very happy with it, to go into detail regarding all of the cuts, trims and corrections would take me for ever, but I will give a very brief take for you.

***The Official ANGRYSVN UNAUTHORIZED COLLECTION*** Release Thread
Time
I WOULD LOVE THIS ONE TO FINISH MY COLLECTION IF YOU CAN HELP ME PLEASE?

Superman III: The Salkind Extended Television Version (Upgraded Version!)
Angrysvn DVD authoring of a Chad Stevens VHS transfer of S3 & a Ash595 Beta Transfer of Making S3

Superman III was released in summer 1983 with a running time of 123 minutes (117 minutes PAL UK). The extended cut was first shown on ABC in 1985 with an extra 20 minutes of added footage; the running time was 143 minutes. Again this extended edition was produced by Alexander Salkind’s company.

Upgraded DVD with a newer VHS transfer that was on a dual-layer disc with much higher bitrate (5.5gigs vs. the old 3.4gig version), this VHS transfer also offers brighter colors and better saturation (flesh tones look almost real!) there is some artifacting during heavy motion but overall I feel it's much nicer – This transfer has the complete end titles and there are NO station ID’s.

Also added to this new edition is the very rare “The Making of Superman III” – transferred from a PAL Beta tape, I have converted the file to NTSC for compatibility; another addition is “Superman: The Mechanical Monsters” by the Fleischer Bros. from 1941 (I felt it followed the theme)
