Just to update everyone…

I have it on very good authority that the recent German Blu-ray release by Turbine is fully uncut.

That means all the music edits and movie length Knight of the Drones (including the original title sequence) are all included.

I am not yet sure whether they’ve sourced stereo soundtracks for Season 4 but will let you all know when I know.

It’s not a cheap set but worth every penny if you value the episodes being uncut.

Seems to be Mono for those episodes from a German fan https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=319676&page=20
Pity.

The Munsters 2022 TV Fan Edit
Time

I have completed a Fan Edit of the Reboot of “The Munsters 2022”, a V2 after first uploading V1 to everyone’s favorite organ to good feedback.

The Movie followed a family of monsters who moves from Transylvania to an American suburb.

Director Rob Zombie
Writers Rob ZombieNorm Liebmann
(based on characters developed by) Ed Haas(based on characters developed by)

Stars
Sheri Moon Zombie Jeff Daniel Phillips Daniel Roebuck

Oh boy where do you start with this abomination of a near 2hr movie, everyone wanted to love it but everyone hates it, including me!

Out of my love for the original I set about trying to salvage what I could of this and as a homage to the original, my idea was to turn this in a type of tv episode in Black and White with opening and closing credits as close to the original and place a laugh track in again like the original and add a bit of grain and scratches but only minimal and some replacement music.

Gone is 1hr and 5mins of trash and we are down to 44mins as an extended tv show.

There are hundreds of cuts here and to help me I used some original Munsters Movie soundtrack “Munster Go Home” to replace that horrible rock track and singing.

Next up was Hermans voice, to high pitched so I had to tone this down a tad with pitch shifter.

The laugh track was taken from a large selection of Hollywood laugh tracks placed in were needed to the cut movie, some new sound background effects, bats, wolfs, thunder, wind and a few others and lastly a Munsters font to help recreate the titles.

The basic story of the movie is still there, Lily wants love, Herman created, Lily finds Herman and they fall in love, Lose the Castle, Move to Mockingbird Lane… The end

V2 corrects a spelling mistake in the opening credits and slightly lowers the volume at the beginning, a new fade in at the beginning and a quick sound edit to it’s alive sound bite.

I will share for limited time via my private onedrive if interested drop me a DM

Prey 2022 Rescored Predator Fan Edit
Time

Description: The origin story of the Predator in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. Naru, a skilled warrior, fights to protect her tribe against one of the first highly-evolved Predators to land on Earth.

I have just completed a fan edit of the recent Predator reboot Prey that I enjoyed for the most part but as I was watching it my mind was working on a re edit or fan edit of the movie.

What I worked on was reducing some of the bad CGI and introducing the Predator more slowly from a story point and rescoring the music in the movie with the original Predator soundtrack.

The score in the movie is now around 80% pure predator muscle.

From an editing point I removed the predator and the ship after he’s dropped off on earth, too much too soon.

The shot of the predator in the cave, again to much too soon, introduce him slowly like the original movie.

Now I left the wolf vs rabbit scene in this edit but was a close call to remove, the big bit gone is the bear attack, I thought the CGI along with the wolf, and big cat was just too much and didn’t add to the story.

Due to the above small talking scene about the bear is also gone as is the scene playing out in the end credits.

Due to these edits the introduction is better paced for the predator.

Nearly every action piece is rescored with the original music removed if it had one and replaced with the score from the original Predator movie.

I have also added in the odd sound effect from the predator in the rear channels when it’s lurking in the background and placed in the predator evil laugh when he sets the 3 bombs off during an attack sort of homage to the original.

The end credits has been rescored to the Predator main theme also.

Any one interested for a link via Onedrive or a very limited time only DM me.

The A-Team Broadcast Restoration (Released)
Time

Interesting little tit bit for those in the UK, went on Amazon Prime and found the A Team season 1 & 2 classed as Freevee with ads, but the episodes have the teasers, but interesting the pilot is cut into 2 parts with fake season one music intro with the alternate face in the credits so like the HD broadcasts but it has music replacement but jumping jack flash scene cut slightly different couple of seconds of the plane getting ready to take off but still music replaced, but whole season 1 and 2 have teasers so type of hybrid but afraid in SD format with adverts. There is also an option to buy in SD along with S3

From what I’ve been hearing it seems the US Blu-ray set is using the same masters as the UK one did.

My mission to reconstruct the missing teasers in HD will resume shortly 😄

Really is a shame, a lot of the streaming sites like Tubi have released the A Team recently and all are the HD releases with no teasers and replacement music, same with Hunter and greatest american hero, but at least I managed to track down with Hunter German DVD copies with English tracks full uncut with original music and Web rips of greatest american hero with original music and not altered all be it SD, I loved the teasers for the A Team as part of my childhood and dont seem the same without them.

Just ran the episodes through Audacity to check the separate channels and yes afraid they are identical mono channels.

Baobab Archiver said:

Yeah as SpacemanDoug saying it is probably dual mono. You have to actually listen to it to be able to tell.
If you want me to help out with checking drop me a PM but given it’s the 2 part version I think it’s even more likely it’s dual mono. Appreciate you checking though 😃

I’m wondering if it has something to do with a fire that apparently happened at Universal some years ago. Apparently many film reels/spools were lost in that. Could it be that the copies that were scanned for HD are the only ones known to exist? Or is it just that they were being lazy and just took the first ones they came across without paying any attention to the content.

I would agree I know another tv show I liked “the Law and Harry Mcgraw” was lost in the fire and all they had was desaturated SD TV reels that Germany placed out on DVD and that is all that is left of the TV show, but the A team considering how famous it was around the world shouldn’t be down to us to recreate the teasers from the HD remasters, takes us several hours so really its just lazy of them, agreeded a couple of seconds of footage doesn’t appear in the episodes so maybe lost i.e. alternate takes, so if lost just replicate alternate scenes like I did for "harder than it looks’ only die hard fans would know.

Maybe the same masterings but similar in the case of Lee Harvey Oswald in Quantum Leap between the US and UK BDs it’ll be different content from the international releases

I can still keep track on forum sites if you want me to

That would be great thanks. The teasers take a few hours each to reconstruct so although I’m happy to keep doing them I don’t want to carry on if there’s no need.

Considering that both the French and UK BDs are edited in different ways I’m curious as to how Universal themselves will handle this one

There is hope since they’ve eased off of music changes for quite some time now, just look at Quantum Leap for example, Universal had to have played a part in clearing all of the music on the Mill Creek sets, knowing how much of a budget company Mill Creek is

And A-Team doesn’t have nearly as much music anyway as far as I know

I’m not holding any hope with these, look at the HD remasters of Baywatch every single HD release is the horrible music replacement release that filtered down to every web and blu ray release and HD tv broadcast, the same has happened with the A Team every time they are shown in the UK now on HD they are the versions missing the teasers, what on earth is wrong with the teasers for S2 and S3 they where on some DVD releases but note not everyone.

Slightly off topic I started reconstructing some episodes of the Fall Guy that the DVDs had massive music replacement managed a small handful redubbing the scenes in question from an old broadcast episode using the sound and dubbing over the DVD version.
I redubbed many of season 4 and 5 but really struggling to get hold of broadcast episodes of season 1 and 2 done a few of season 1 of episodes I’ve managed to get and really surprised by how much they replaced but some episodes can’t do a full reconstruction due to the DVds also cutting scenes with anyone singing on screen.
Did a handful of A Team season 2 teasers but gave up a long time ago as very time consuming but still have the unfinished files on my laptop just need the time and energy to finish them.

With it been the split 2 part Pilot movie I would lay good odds it’s the edited version, same happened in the UK original Playback VHS titles where uncut but when the same title released them on DVD they where the cut versions.

All HD broadcast versions are the newer cut versions with missing trailers. Only some old DVDs had the intros newer DVDs chopped them off as did the blu rays.

I would like to extend this out to 6 parts when Halloween Ends comes out but until then this is 4 parts and are a direct continuation from the original Halloween.

Halloween 2018 & Halloween Kills TV Mini Series
Time

Halloween a Mini Series is a fan edit of Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills from 2021

This edit combines both these movies including deleted scenes and extended scenes as well as footage from the original Halloween 1978 plus the TV version and Halloween 2 plus isolated audio sound bites from other Halloween movies featuring Donald Pleasance.

I have split this in 4 parts roughly 1hr for parts 1 & 2 and 50mins for 3 & 4

The movie starts with a recap of the ending of the original Halloween slightly edited with some footage of Halloween 2 alternate takes of the shooting of Michael plus some pre credit titles.

We then blend into a recap of voice overs from Loomis aka Donald Pleasance about how Michael should be locked up and shooting him 6 times.
We then begin in the sanatorium with date title card from Halloween 2018 that plays until the credits.

We then have the deleted scene from Halloween 2018 shooting range but blended with the investigate journalists talking of Michael and Laurie.
Movie plays as is until the journalist in the hotel room who listen to a recording of Loomis about Michael. This has been edited now to feature Donald Pleasure talking and not the voice double this is taken from multiple Halloween movies to make a coherent speech about Michael.

The sequence is also slightly edited.

Later in this part we also include the deleted scene featuring the journalist in the shower.

As the movie plays as the journalists visit the graveyard this sequence is edited as they talk about the murder from the first movie I have placed in footage from the first movie whilst they talk new sound is added.

We also have another deleted scene of the young daughter Allyson running but deleted Michael out at the end.

Movie plays until the babysitter sequence, this is edited to reduce the kid but ends on the murder of the babysitters but a burrn out image of Michael.

In the closing credits we have a mini trailer for the next episode blended into the new end title credits.

Episode 2 starts with an edited sequence from the beginning of Halloween 2 the slow pan down to the house and gun shots i.e. external view of the house from the end of Halloween 1978 movie but added in Mr Sandman song before we have Loomis run out the house examining blood on the ground after he shot him so a follow on from my tease in episode 1 this blends then into the sequence from Halloween Kills the flashback sequence of the police hunting Michael after the shooting by Loomis.

Pre title cards added in.

Then the extended sequence on the children and Michael stalking from the same movie.

After the house shooting and the capture of Michael we have the credits but from Halloween 2018 slightly edited to add a new Character name i.e Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle.

We then have the bar sequence from Halloween Kills with Tommy Doyle talking until he says to Laurie where ever you are, this allows us to cut back to Laurie stalking the streets looking for Michael as both Movies take place the same night.

This obviously takes us back into Halloween from 2018 and plays until Laurie meets Dr. Ranbir Sartain we then have flashback from Halloween Kills whilst Sartain discusses Hawkins was the first officer on site and stopped Loomis killing Michael new music and sound effects added.

After Sartain attacks Hawkins and drives away this blends into Halloween Kills and Allyson’s Boyfriend finding Hawkins.

We then re-join Halloween 2018 and the officers guarding Laurie’s House that plays out until the officers find Sartain on the ground, this then cuts back to the bar from Halloween Kills and Allyson’s boyfriend ringing his Dad to explain he found Hawkins stabbed.

Cut back to Laurie’s house and play the movie i.e Halloween 2018 after the Laurie Michael fight and Karen and Allyson hiding we have an edited sequence of Michael stalking but a voice over from an old Loomis Donald Pleasance asking Michael to leave these people alone Michael stops as listening to the voice in his head before stalking again, new music added.

Episode 2 ends with a burn out of Karen crying saying she can’t do this. Again a mini trailer of the next episode in the closing credits.

Episode 3 begins with sound bites of the killing from the original movie i.e reporters talking about the brutal killing by a child before opening with the TV footage from Halloween 1978 of Loomis talking to the medical board about not transferring Michael and he is dangerous this plays with new title cards until Loomis stands near Michael as a child saying he’s fooled everyone but not him cut to opening credits Halloween 2018 edited.
We then pick up where we left Halloween 2018 with additional external shot of the house with Karen crying before we pick up inside again.

This plays through with the house fire and blends into Halloween kills with the fire and firemen arriving.

Halloween Kills plays minus scenes dropped into Episode 2

Extended Mortuary scene added in.

Episode plays until Laurie is talking to Hawkins in Hospital asking if he remembered that night, this is edited to play as if she is referring to Michaels attack on her from Halloween 1978, this blends into an edited sequence from Halloween 1978 as a flashback of Laurie babysitting Tommy Doyle this ensures you know who Tommy is and filling in his back story when he freaks out at the window when he sees the shape.
We then cut back to Laurie in the hospital bed Hawkins wakes up and nurse enters, sequence is edited with new music.

We end episode 3 with Tommy and co finding Lindsey after the attack by Michael edited to end with a burn out on Lindsey about Michael been on the loose.

Mini trailer in the credits for episode 4.

Episode 4 begins with heavily edited footage from Halloween 2 Laurie been taken to hospital after the attack by Michael from the first movie new pre credit titles added, as Laurie is begging the doctors not to put her to sleep which they do we blend back into Halloween Kills Laurie asleep in the hospital bed.

Movie plays until Tommy arrives and tells Laurie Michael is alive and on the loose, Laurie grabs her knife credit’s roll Halloween 2018 edited in.

Re-join Halloween kills minus any scenes added in earlier.

Extended massacre at the end and the new ending from the extended version before new end credits.

I have placed this onto mega roughly 16.5GB happy to share the link out for limited time vi PM

Planet Of The Apes - tv movies recreation (with project release info)
Time

Some one mentioned about the original TV movies which were just episodes of this TV show joined up to form a feature length TV movie, the episodes released on DVD are just the same as these movies barring a title change on the credits.
I saw no point in recreating these for the sake of a title change and joining 2 episodes together.

It has been mentioned on certain network on the TV movie orignal run Roddy McDowall shot a introduction and end to the tv movies, I did find these but the quality is quick poor and are only around 20 seconds in length to poor to do anything with.

I then found a fan editor called David Kerin did a fan edit of the tv show back in 2017 and is available via Vimeo.

I downloaded this and enjoyed for the most part but felt his clips of the original cinema movies that he included distracted me and his use of CGI genarated effects to soft and jarring and the worst was his making the TV footage zoomed in for letterboxing, the quality suffered with this.

I did however like the blending of 3 episodes and a few snippets from others a good way of making a stand alone movie.

Instead of recreating the tv movies i decided to create my own edit but some based on the Kerin edit, so I used his idea and around 80% of the flow of the episodes to recreate my own edit from my DVD set and getting rid of the bits that bothered me his over use of the original movie sequences, bad CGI that didnt fit and the letterboxing.

I created my own opening using documentry footage inspired by Buck Rogers in the 25th Century as that used it very well to create the spaceship taking off.

I nabbed a 2 second scene from the Kerin edit reframed.

New title created.

Footage that was created by a real professional and uploaded onto Youtube of what it would have been like if the footage of the ship crashing from the first movie was filmed and inserted into that movie, this was excellent and very well crafted.

As the ship in this edit and the kerin edit was the same I used some of this to create the ship landing on earth, I also used footage from Buck Rogers, Superman the Movie and farscape to achive this.

When the ship lands in the tv pilot it had credits on the screen but the TV movie did not so I upscaled and used several seconds of this.

We then have numerous edits of 3 episodes reordered and joined togther I chose some different edit points away from the Kerin edit as didn’t like some of his soft blends.

I also did a couple of my own FX shots that seem to fit the 70’s type matte effects and not the CGI genarated effects.

I like the idea of a downbeat ending to match the movies but thought the kerin edit was not quite right so I created my own take on this and gave a downbeat ending that does wrap the movie up but done what I think is a better way.

We end with words from Charles Darwin to close the movie out. I have uploaded this to the Organ.
