I’d get rid of the “rey” right before kylo says “tell me where you are” as him saying rey starts to get repetitive. I’d also go with just “it’s anger that fuels you” and cut the rest of that line.
New stills in the EW cover story on the show. Looks great.
We need to make the reason for the divorce Kylo’s infatuation with Rey.
I was just thinking the other day about somehow turning Jabba into a hologram in that scene. I’d love to see how that looks with some more work.
I like a lot of these ideas! A New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie so I’m always happy to see different takes on it.
When it comes to incorporating the Dark Times content into the main series, I’ve actually been thinking of a fairly interesting idea involving that for a while now: Have the Dark Times content be the new Episodes 4-6, with the OT now being Episodes 7-9.
Episode 4 would be Kenobi (edited into a movie), Episode 5 would be Solo, and Episode 6 would be Rogue One. Kenobi and Solo have been swapped chronologically, but I feel like the “trilogy” is more cohesive this way: Kenobi resolves plot threads left hanging by ROTS and establishes the new state of the galaxy, Solo shows someone trying to survive in this new galaxy and establishes organized resistance movements against the Empire, and Rogue One shows these resistance movements united as a whole and leads directly into ANH.
I feel like this reorganization would have two benefits: It would allow for a bit more of a transition between the radically different aesthetics of the prequels and OT, and it would allow for the cool “trilogy of trilogies” structure to be preserved while having ROTJ be the definitive ending.
I love this.

De-aging tech has come a long way. But that’s also why I said maybe starring different characters to get around that particular issue.
Revisited for ANH and ESB, Disney+ for ROTJ
The whole culture of the Empire is very mechanized and anti-spiritual, which isn’t what you’d naturally expect from a faction led by a Force user, even an evil one.
I think even if the original intention wasn’t for a Force user to lead the Empire this still fits. Palpatine would want to propagandize the Force in a way that makes people dismissive of it so nobody has any hope that the Jedi will come to save the day.
I really don’t think I worded that well but I hope you get what I mean.
I used to watch it (at least) once a year but as I’ve gotten older I have less and less free time. I last watched them when gearing up to see Rise of Skywalker.
I’d love to see a live action Clone Wars film. Just a random story set during the war. Possibly starring Anakin and Obi-Wan, possibly starring someone else. I’d just love to see more from that era in live action with current visual effects technology.
I think if this series focuses as much on Anakin/Vader as it seems to be an appearance by Ol’ Sheevy is inevitable. I for one welcome our Sith Overlord.
I would have liked him getting some sort of Sith outfit that is similar to his Vader outfit and then the rest of Vader’s iconic suit is built onto that after the run-in with Obi-Wan.
I know I’ve seen some people suggest putting Dooku into TPM but has anybody tried putting Grievous into AOTC? I don’t think it would be too crazy to composite him into the meeting Obi-Wan eavesdrops on or something.
I feel like Solo and Rogue One don’t really feel like a part of the main saga considering we see basically nothing of the main characters from either the prequel or original trilogies. Did you do any tweaking to make those feel more like part of the sage?
So it looks like John Williams is returning to score some stuff for Kenobi. That bodes well for potential edits to turn the show into a prequel film.
Saw that on reddit earlier. We gotta get that guy to finish some of the other scenes with unfinished/missing VFX.
I’m not sure how you could remove Grogu from Tatooine without resolving the whole rancor rampage thing.
Not sure what kind of trimming you’ve done to the Luke/Grogu stuff but would it be possible to cut most/all of Grogu’s training sequence? Have Din drop off the Beskar with Ahsoka and then later just have the choice scene without all of the other stuff in between.
In my opinion, the Tusken Raider stuff was all from the originally proposed Boba Fett Movie which starts with him crawling out of the Sarlacc. THAT feels like complete story. If not enough for a full movie, just make it a Book of Boba-Fett mini-series.
When they decided to turn it into a TV show, they chose to add elements of the shared universe and they then created the Pike Syndicate plot. The Pike Syndicate plot should be recut and edited into a Mando season 2.5
It feels like two different mediums, half movie, half a forced TV Show. Can’t wait to see the edits.
I did a rough pass on the Tusken Raider stuff and got about 1 hr and 36 minutes out of it.
How did you handle the end of the Tusken stuff? It doesn’t really have a resolution in the show.
Add Maul screaming Kenobi (taken from Star Wars Rebels or Battlefront II, dealer’s choice) to him falling down the pit.
Replace Boba Fett’s theme in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett with Fett’s Vette.
As C3PO and R2D2 are descending to Tattooine add a James Bond style credits sequence set to A New Hope by blink-182.
Bonus points if we can find songs to do the rest of the saga with as well.
Well after the last episode it’s clear the best play is to make this Mandalorian 3. Maybe make the Boba flashbacks their own side movie.
