When it comes to incorporating the Dark Times content into the main series, I’ve actually been thinking of a fairly interesting idea involving that for a while now: Have the Dark Times content be the new Episodes 4-6, with the OT now being Episodes 7-9.

Episode 4 would be Kenobi (edited into a movie), Episode 5 would be Solo, and Episode 6 would be Rogue One. Kenobi and Solo have been swapped chronologically, but I feel like the “trilogy” is more cohesive this way: Kenobi resolves plot threads left hanging by ROTS and establishes the new state of the galaxy, Solo shows someone trying to survive in this new galaxy and establishes organized resistance movements against the Empire, and Rogue One shows these resistance movements united as a whole and leads directly into ANH.

I feel like this reorganization would have two benefits: It would allow for a bit more of a transition between the radically different aesthetics of the prequels and OT, and it would allow for the cool “trilogy of trilogies” structure to be preserved while having ROTJ be the definitive ending.

I love this.

When and why did Lucas decide to make The Emperor a Force-user?

The whole culture of the Empire is very mechanized and anti-spiritual, which isn’t what you’d naturally expect from a faction led by a Force user, even an evil one.

I think even if the original intention wasn’t for a Force user to lead the Empire this still fits. Palpatine would want to propagandize the Force in a way that makes people dismissive of it so nobody has any hope that the Jedi will come to save the day.

I really don’t think I worded that well but I hope you get what I mean.

Mando EP3: A New Path (A Book of Boba Fett Edit) [RELEASED]

In my opinion, the Tusken Raider stuff was all from the originally proposed Boba Fett Movie which starts with him crawling out of the Sarlacc. THAT feels like complete story. If not enough for a full movie, just make it a Book of Boba-Fett mini-series.

When they decided to turn it into a TV show, they chose to add elements of the shared universe and they then created the Pike Syndicate plot. The Pike Syndicate plot should be recut and edited into a Mando season 2.5

It feels like two different mediums, half movie, half a forced TV Show. Can’t wait to see the edits.

I did a rough pass on the Tusken Raider stuff and got about 1 hr and 36 minutes out of it.

How did you handle the end of the Tusken stuff? It doesn’t really have a resolution in the show.
