Twin Peaks: Coffee Brew With Me
Time

This is my first fanedit. It’s an edit of the Twin Peaks coffee commercials from Japan edited together into a continuous narrative. I used a couple of shots from the show to attempt smoother transitions.

Full change list:

  • added short intro from SNL skit
  • cut the marketing lingo from three of the four clips, kept it in the last one
  • replaced music throughout
  • added new establishing shot of the sheriff’s office
  • showed symbol from the deer head for a moment longer before fading to Ed’s Gas Barn
  • changed transition from Gas Barn to R&R Diner and included new establishing shot
  • new transition shot of waterfall before we head back to the sheriff’s office
  • extended establishing shot of the sheriff’s office
  • new establishing shot of Glastonbury Grove
  • new shot of Cooper entering the Black Lodge
  • new shot of Cooper in the Black Lodge before finding Asami
  • added credits

Voice conversion can definitely be used for dialog/talking too. It’s not exclusively for music/vocals. It’s what Disney did for Luke and Vader in Mando/BOBF and Kenobi. The key is getting a VA that can get close enough to the intended voice and then you use the voice conversion to get it the rest of the way there.

@JarJar

Any chance you could use voice conversion instead of generating lines from text? (Unless that’s what you’re already doing). We’d need a voice actor who could match the intonation and accent of the original actor but it might allow for more control over the output you’re getting. I recently started toying around with it for music stuff and I’m impressed with the results.
