I’d love to give this a watch. While I enjoyed parts of the Hawkeye series I thought it was much too messy so I’d love to see what a streamlined version of it plays out like.
I love super ambitious fan-edits like this. Can’t wait to see the final product.
My idea would be to almost entirely eliminate TPM with the exception of a couple of parts put into AOTC as Anakin dream sequences. Outside of that AOTC and ROTS would get a lot of the typical fan edits. OWK would be edited into a single film and serve as Episode III.

I think you can really get by just watching episodes 5-7 as a “cathh-up” before Mando 3. Doing that already feels like watching three episodes of The Mandalorian (one of which heavily features Boba Fett) since Din became the main character of the series at that point.
I’d love a fanedit of the second Silent Hill film that makes it watchable. Not sure how exactly that would be accomplished but I’d applaud the editor who could make it happen.

Obi-wan’s next line ‘You’re a great warrior, Anakin…’ feels like the proper end to the action, and it may be best to just delete the second false ending altogether. I’d suggest cutting from Obi-wan being disarmed straight to the wideshot of Obi-wan spinning out of his crouch to put an end to the fight.
I agree with this entirely.
If you have the blu-rays/dvds you should be able to rip them yourself. If you don’t have copies of the films you’re also not supposed to be asking for edits here.
I don’t think you’re allowed to ask for unaltered copies of the movies here.
I honestly like L8wtr’s version a little bit more. Your version feels “off-beat” if that makes sense. Like the timing between Obi-Wan and Anakin jumping is off.
Have the Benny Hill theme inserted into every duel

That would be WAY too on the nose. I know Star Wars isn’t exactly known for its subtlety but that would be a little much IMO.
I was thinking something like Leia opens already in the tree with Lola observing the ships, Breha comes to get her and we have the scene where Leia and her cousin have the disagreement, she runs out and gets kidnapped. Bail’s first major scene then ends up being where he’s in Kenobi’s cave.
This is off the top of my head and I have no idea how well it would work in practice but it could potentially streamline the alderaan/leia kidnapping stuff.

I got this idea in my head as I was doing some finishing touches on the last duel and the ending, and… well, see for yourself:
So, that’s what I spent the last two hours on. I just had to put it together to see if this is something we should chase or leave alone. It’s probably too fanedit-y and radical too be included, but worth giving a shot.
Pros:
-> Definitely a more interesting rescue, by far, imo.
-> We actually get Obi-Wan in some good, interesting action before the film’s second act - which is more of a thriller-y, slow-burn type of act (which i love, but some starting action might be a good thing).
-> Lovely atmosphere
-> Hajja is more useful
-> World-buildingCons:
-> Leia wears the same robe that Obi-Wan later buys (but I’ve changed the sweater’s color from green to brown).
-> Why does Obi-Wan change outfit? (They are almost similar, but perhaps he borrowed some from his fake jedi friend Hajja?
-> When they escape the facility later on, they come out a door from an establishing shot turning close-up. They wear lab suits. This, imo, is not an issue - as we can let the imagination assume that they followed an escape plan set up by Hajja, and changed clothes on their ways back out for security meassures.
-> Too fanedit-y?Also, the Inquisitor Fortress never make an apperance in the film (not because of this change - this is just for fun).

Only change I’d suggest is trim Obi-Wan lightsabering the first stormtrooper in the dark room. The way he hits the trooper in the chest a few times makes it look more like he’s attacking with a baseball bat or something. If it’s not possible to trim it in a good way though I understand.
Idea for a film edit:
Take the pre-AOTC flashback and cut it up to space throughout the movie. Have part of it play when Ben is dreaming in the cave, another part during the bacta tank scene and then the last part either during Vader’s march on Jabiim or when Kenobi is under the rocks in Part 6.
I was one of those suckers who was actually really excited for Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) because Deborah Chow and Kelley DIxon’s work on Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad fuckin’ rule. Needless to say, that was a bit misguided.
I don’t think I’m going to do the whole show, but it was just a fun little experiment. The edit isn’t supposed to be like BB/BCS fwiw, just approaching the material with some of the storytelling philosophy I learned from them.
At the very least, Deborah Chow’s sensibilities as a director were still conducive to being arranged in this way so at least some of my excitement wasn’t unfounded

I think getting rid of Ben’s “my friend really is dead” line is enough. Vader believing he’s “killed” the part of himself that is Anakin works just fine.
