Yeah I’ve been playing around with it and it has a similar problem as Vader’s Castle, both clips are super blue and cold; and color grading to the new Mustafaran pinkish-orange atmosphere looks very strange. Could be that I am just a noob at this though

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had access to the blu-ray scenes of Mustafar scenes from Rogue One? I have been practicing on Youtube 1080p clips and my USB blu-ray reader is on the fritz.

Alright here are two more links. The first is a Vader’s Castle 2.0 and the other is another shot from Rogue One. I mirrored both, based on a suggestion from Jar Jar Bricks and spent a little more time on content aware. I gotta say, it’s crazy how much removing a spaceship and mirroring the image makes them look like a different shot.

Definitely needs some color correction, if to be used with the shots of Kylo tho.

I can try, I know that the content-aware filter in after effects doesn’t really do the clouds/heat very well due to how close-up the ship is, but I can try.

How was the quality on that video? In After Effects its looks different than it does post-rendering… or is it just me over-analyzing?

Okay so I’m pretty new at this After Effects thing but I edited a scene for Mustafar from Rogue One. The very beginning of the scene still has a portion from where I removed the ship, but I didn’t know how much to cut (some editors like to play around with footage or maybe it could be taken away with a wipe or something). It’s only a couple of seconds but maybe it could be useful.

So with Ben’s ghost, I know I’ve seen some mock-ups where he is in his Kylo Ren outfit as a ghost, but would the plan be to put him in Jedi robes like Anakin at the end of ROTJ?

I have no idea how difficult it would be to achieve this in something like After Effects… that scene is really dark and there is a lot of transitions, so it would definitely be a pain to track motion.

You would be correct, it appears only the Force Awakens has word count even close, which is 88. Hmm, perhaps this is better. It cuts it down to 86 words

It’s 91 words so it is just slightly larger than the normal 88ish words that most of the other crawls are at… I also took out “Hope Reborn!” from the beginning but there might need to be something before “After Jedi Master…” because it kind of starts abruptly.

Hello everyone, I recently created a profile and I love the list of changes you all have come up with! I particularly like the changing Leia’s lightsaber to purple… perfect homage to Carrie Fisher (RIP).

I assume that the parts of list with the green checkmarks are parts that are completed. Something that I have been tinkering with (although I am very, verrryyy green at this) to indicate that Rey was being influenced by the Force ghosts was to color her iris’ a light blue or white color and have them glow. Like how Palpatine’s or the Sith eyes are. Of course this could be a terrible concept and from my experience has been incredibly difficult to produce in After Effects.

Also, I have been working on the text for a crawl if y’all would interested?
