the dcp version is what i'm talking about not the blu ray to make it look like the blu ray but without any of the dnr and have it color corrected.

The dirt and scratches on the BD were badly removed, look:

The only positive thing about the BD is the corrected skateboard wheels issue.

Trust me, the colors of the LD are really close to the DVD/DCP that wouldn't be that useful to use it as a reference.

I'm the dude who did the second screenshot. I agree that it is a little bit too bright but you have to understand that it's based on an old TVrip made from an original 35mm print.

Now that could be interesting as reference for a color correction don't you think? ;-)

@ilovewaterslides: even if I agree they are too blue for my tastes, the phrase "With more natural colors" may refer in comparison with an even more blueish, untouched version...

Judging by the previous raw screenshots that they posted, I'm pretty sure the print itself is not that blue at all. It has a pretty obvious golden tint to my eyes.

More natural colours, are you serious? These definitely got too much blue.

I've noticed on the Super 8 topic and on your last corrected 35mm scans that you also have some bluish clips. Is it a strange coincidence or do you maybe have a badly calibrated monitor?

I don't want to sound pretentious, I just wanted to clear the things up because I thought the colours didn't look "like they should".

Wow, Andrea that was quite impressive indeed! This LD is really important to my eyes, even if it has an horrible pressing and weird colors I really enjoy watching it. Have you considered capturing the whole movie then apply the same treatment to it? It would be quite interesting.

I don't have the Pyramid box set but I have the first Gold edition which uses the same master as you already know :-)
