For those going the Rey Palpatine route, what do you think of setting that up at the get go? I believe that’s the way it was intended in original script and it would spare us the tacked on reveal above kijimmi. When Kylo asks Palps “who is she”, he could reply with a cryptic “Our blood” or “One of Us” , which may or may not hint at palps creating
Anakin skywalker and would give more credibility to Rey Palpatine taking the skywalker name.

Edit: For the Rey nobody angle I think it’s important to expand upon the reason Palpatine wanted her on exagol, her significance to the overall story and most prudently the reason for her innate darkness. I think this should also be covered at the get go, here are a few options, although there are many ways to go about this:
“Who is she?”
-“a vergence, destined to be sith”
-“a wound in the force, destined to be sith”
-“an awakening in the force, unseen for generations, destined to rule.”

That’s probably the best one yet.
You could use shots from the deleted hall way scene in Rots with Anakin, obiwan and shak tii.

What’s your plan for Palpatine’s plan in the movie? Maybe I’m just slow but I never worked out why he asked Kylo to kill Rey. He clearly doesn’t actually want her dead; he wants her on Exegol so he can ritualistically bodysnatch her or whatever. What if Kylo had run Rey through and come back to claim his new fleet? Was Palps just banking on Kylo caring too much about Rey? Palpatine’s prequel plans were hardly airtight either, but I don’t really see what he actually wants from Kylo. Once they’re together he uses the dyad - was that his plan all along?

When Palpatine senses Kylo’s turn to the light, he tells Pryde that “the princess of Alderan has disrupted his plans” surely this is a remnant of the original script where his plan A was for kylo and Rey to take the throne.

I really just need to change Boz Pity into something related to the Siege of Mandalore, or not at all if we can just assume Boz Pity is the name of some Mandalorian city or province that Ahsoka and the 501st have moved into. Even if that’s not what Boz Pity is canonically. “Sundari” - the Mandalorian capital Bo Katan and co. is sieging - has the same syllables as Boz Pity, so maybe I can change it to that.

That would work just as well.

I guess many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our point of view 😉

Based on that I’d propose something more akin to this:
“You’ve missed the report on the Mandalore sieges, in short, they are going very well, Maul has fallen, and your padawan is moving troops back to the capital.”

-The force unleashed was ok I guess
-old republic was aight
-Fallen Order was pretty good
-Mando was a little boring.
-ST is just your generic action adventure blockbuster young adult gerp.
ROTS was no masterpiece but to me it was grand, sophisticated, tragic, hopeful, campy and full of heart. A true space opera. To me the the Siege of Mandalore really built on that.

Honestly i’d rather a callback to an fantasy classic than to a 2018 blockbuster.

I agree, although it is unfortunate that we have no deleted scenes to work with, I think being constrained to what we have makes us more creative.

This newest episode is the best Star wars content I’ve seen since Revenge of the Sith. Apparently the siege of mandalore arch is a movie split into 4 episodes.

I wonder If references to the siege of mandalore could be added in somewhere, maybe in the war room where Kenobi tells Anakin to be careful of his friend Palpatine.

That could be set up by opening with the Luke and Leia flashback.
