I think the difficulty in that would be matching the background with the whizzing movement of the camera.

I think that if we are to use shots of Coruscant from the prequels they’d need to get a First Order overhaul, flags, Ties, destroyers in the sky, colour correction, perhaps even air pollution.

I was wondering if we could create a moving version of this piece of concept art from Duel of the fates, https://starwarz.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/duel-of-the-fates-concept-art-8.jpg.
It could be used as an establishing shot for the board room scene in Tros, and with some vfx we could have explosions added to it at the climax of the film.

Nice, I guess it would be more time consuming, but then again you might get better results.

That looks pretty neat, do you think it would be possible to composite in or rotoscope in actual ship models from the films? Just to give it that practical look.

I like the idea of using the jedi temple as Palpatines palace, using a few throw away shots of the cityscape from blade runner in a seamless way would be pretty cool, although as a big Blade runner fan I think using the Tyrell building would be kinda distracting.

Honestly, I think any edit that removes the old woman would benefit from the addition of Rey’s lightsaber into the final shot.

In my imaginary edit that would be the ideal. It gives the sense of more action to come and it’s a nice parallel to the broom boy scene in the last jedi.

I personally really enjoyed the location’s of the prequels and I think they did an excellent job at expanding the galaxy far far away.
Anyway I don’t think the changes mentioned above are too out there in comparison to the aesthentic of the OT, The goal here is to merely add a unique touch and distinct look to the sequels .

Yeah to me that’s something special about star wars, it never leans too much on either side, a mix of fantastical and real is what gives the locations a grounded feel.

That was fine for the OT, problem is we’ve been there done that.

Even George wasn’t 100 percent happy with the locations of the OT but because of the technological limitations of the time, he had to go with it.

After being spoiled rotten by the fantastical location’s of the prequels, it’s hard for me to accept boring vanilla earth locations in a post technological era.

To me the lack of creativity in the planet design is one of the most disappointing aspects of this trilogy:

Takodana, Jakku and Passana are probably high up on the priority list for an overhaul.

I think Jakku needs to closely resemble it’s concept art, with as many fallen Starships in the background as possible

Takodana’s medieval aesthetic could be eccentuated by adding more castles in the distance, perhaps even adding a few pirate ships on the lake as well.

Passana, which in my opinion is the worst offender, could be turned into an ancient sith world, a parallel to jedda, the sand could be turned to more of a reddish tone , with altered establishing shots from Rogue One of statues and temples of the Sith, I think it would only be appropriate since after all it’s where we find out about the Sith dagger and Sith loyalists.

Although I like the look of the Achto island, I think it needs more of that Star wars “out of this world” feel. Apparently JJ had the idea of surrounding the island with floating rocks, something akin to Rey’s stunt on Crait. I think it would be a neat addition aestheticly as well as in the context of the story. Imagine seeing a planet so powerful in the force yet only to find out that the one who lives on it has blocked himself completely from the force.

I guess with some colour correcting they’d become identical.

Since Ajan kloss has become Naboo in this version, should the shot of the planet be replaced by Naboo when Rey and Co leave for Passana?
Also I wonder if some gungan statues could be placed in the Luke and Leia flashback since the planet they trained on would now be on Naboo.

Bravo man, that’s flawless execution. Now that I think of it it kind of symbolises Rey’s coming of age. Embracing her femininity as it will.

I think adding 10-15 years to Rots Anakin would suffice in making him look different for the ST

-Added in a hint of the “Palpatine’s teachings” track.
-Axed Snoke’s clone, as well as switching around the shots for better fluidity.
-Cut Snoke’s line “you have ever heard”.
-Cut Kylo’s aggression, he’s almost submissive, which in the context of this story makes his plan to kill Palps all the more pronounced.

It be cool if someone could replace the vats of Snoke clones with ones of Palapatine instead.

It’s a good idea, but wouldn’t palps have to be naked? I’m getting queasy just thinking about it.
