Could have the jedi temple in the backdrop of the meeting.
Could have the jedi temple in the backdrop of the meeting.
For what it’s worth I had the idea of putting Kylo in the jedi Council Chambers as he hears Palpatines broadcast.
His black robes symbolysed his dance with the darkside, I think it only makes sense for him to have the lighter Jedi robes here since he is now one with the light.
That looks really great jonh! Excellent job so far. I’m curious, how did you create the shots where they all raise their hands to help Rey?
For obi wan, anakin and luke, I have photographed my hand, and for yoda, I did a montage with the ROTS yoda arm …
frankensteinsI think I’m going insane… The video attached to that link says it was uploaded a week ago, and there’s no shots of them lifting hands…
Same.
Regardless, I think it would be nice to have the sanscrit chants from DOTF play in that scene, it could also be used during Rey and Kylo’s fight against the guards and knights of Ren.
I think his source is the JWfanpage but from what I understood the chants in the duel trailer were collected from the original soundtrack and then mixed with trailer music.

Why the Music in The Rise of Skywalker Felt Empty by Sideways. He makes a lot of good points about the usage of certain themes in scenes where they don’t belong, and why it weakens the impact of the theme as a whole.
Yeah, that is a big problem. I bet a lot of thematic material was deleted or shuffled around in post, and as a result the music doesn’t quite feel right.
Interestingly enough, according to him a new recording of dual of the fates was supposed to play(the one from the trailer)in the scene where Palpatine is about to initiate the ritual"the time has come!".
There’s no way that’s true. The trailer music is way too epic to be from Williams, and it wouldn’t fit the scene at all.
The scene itself consists of chanting that is almost similar to the duel of the fates choir, I don’t see how it wouldn’t fit.

This made me really think about changing up the score in a few places throughout especially seeing as it could potentially improve the film on an emotional level.
Red.
That looks pretty much perfect.
Hey everyone! Love what you are doing with the content.
I am testing some footage out, it’s far from perfect right now, but wanted to get your opinion on if I should spend the time on it.
When Rey meets Kylo on the Death Star remnants. I added some Palpatine Opera music, as well as changed Rey’s eyes to turn sith when talking to Kylo.
Why? Well, when Rey first says “give it to me” Kylo gets scared, but it seems for no reason. The eye change will surprise Kylo.

That was creepy as hell, which is probably the reaction you’d want from the audience.
I think a more refined, very subtle version would work better though. Thanks for the input! Any suggestions on where to add the subtleness? Maybe the eyes only show once? Is the palp music in the background a good choice?
I think the music is just right, as for the eyes I would recommend a faint red tint, something that would go under the radar on first viewing.
Well since in the ST you can become a force god with little to no learning curve, might as well go all the way right?
Much better, only thing I see that could be nitpicked is his size, mainly the broad shoulders.
Definitely digging the red though.

Yeah she seemed a little dismissive in the original, like “OK granny, whatever”.
I think all the scenes between Rey and Leia will likely need to be reworked.
You could be right, but the body is corrupted only after it is inglufed by the darkside which in this case it still has not, that is until Palpatine rejuvenates of course.
Even for Snoke I thought it was an oversight on their part. Cloning the injury of a subject is kinda ridiculous.
Just a nitpick. Since this is a clone in the making, would it be possible to have him with the same decrepit look minus the facial scars?
Poppa, we’re back in business.
!
I think the ideal ST 3-1 edit would have TLJ as its thematic soul with elements from TFA and TROS peppered in throughout.
You could remove the weapon aspect from star-killer, affectively making it just a base that Rey and Finn escape from.
Removed Rey’s unnecessary grunt, made slight changes to her interaction with Leia ( idea from movies remastered)

I specifically had the ST in mind while making this thread but I thought I might as well generalise it just to be more inclusive 😃
This thread is dedicated to discussing fan-edit ideas for 3 in 1 edits of the Prequel, Original and Sequel trilogies.
I’d be open to that.
