Oh…that music, think I got a little emotional there.

Tone down some laughter/banter/extra lines. Although, it would be nice to have some specificity on which instances are too much.

Oops my bad, So here’s the specific instances that I felt were a little too much, unnecessary, distracting or breaking flow.

-Obi Wan’s laugh when R2 hits the buzz droid.
-Anakin’s “you’re flying safe”
-Anakin’s “that’s why we’re here”.
-Anakin’s “I agree” after the elevator comment. Obi-wan’s “never an elevator…” line could use a raise in the volume.
-Very hard to understand what Anakin says after palpatines “I hope you know what you’re doing”
-Anakin’s calm “ready for this?” while they fall at 300 m/h
-“Wowowo” before the ray shields.
-The laughter when R2 arrives, undercuts the comedic punch of “see, no problem”.
-Anakin’s “go ahead buddy” to R2, It takes away from his surprise attack which is supposed to mirror the scene on Jabba’s place.
-Whatever Obi-wan says when catching his lightsaber from Grievous’ cloak.

One last nitpick, I agree about the colour correction looking a little like an instegram filter, I’d rather a more conservative approach.
Otherwise, I’m all in.

Personally I would prefer an ending with Rey igniting her saber and then watching the sunset with her saber at hand.

The behind the scenes drama at lucasfilm would make for an interesting film.

Digging most of the changes, I think some of the laughing and giggling between shots might be a little bit over-kill, so I think toning it down a bit would make it flow better, I also think some of the extra lines for Anakin feel a little out of place and kinda brake the flow of the scene, like when Anakin calmly says “I won’t lose you” just after choking his wife.
Other-wise great job.

I think the ending of shot of Rey and BB-8 facing the sun could be played with in various ways, since Rey is mostly a silhouette I had the the idea, although radical, to somehow mirror the end shot of Attack of the clones with Anakin and Padme, What if we shot the silhouettes of a Rey and Kylo cos-player in a similar fashion against the sunrise 😉

Cut all old woman/ Rey Skywalker nonsense.
Have Rey watch Ben solo Walk up to her in the distance, replacing the shot of the ghosts.
Cut to Rey walking to the sunset with BB-8.
Cut to wide shot.
Silhouettes of Cos-players walk up to eachother.
Embrace/etc .
Fin

She lays in bed afterwards so I’m sure the idea of force projection won’t get lost.

The blade runner-esque score really gave the scenes an eary feeling and sense of dread. Really well done.

Excellent changes, really loved the new theme for Leia calling Ben.
The use of the drums throughout the fight is also subtle yet very effective.
What do you think of cutting some of Mazes exposition?
Keeping “to reach her son will take all the strength she has left” while axing “Leia knows what must be done”.

Exactly.
It would also kinda show that she hasn’t reached the levels of Luke’s power, but barely.

I think it might be better if she was a mere fade, you can get away with more that way.
