I think that not only did Leia know, but that Han also knew. It explains Han giving Rey a guilty look when she says “I never knew there was this much green on the galaxy”, it also explains the abrupt cut when Maz asks Han “who’s the girl” and last but not least, it explains Leia’s affinity to Rey from the very beginning, (and the long hug). I guess Leia relates to Rey since she is also the daughter of Vader, making it her obligation to look out for her.

Remember that look Leia gave Rey when Poe says somehow Palpatine returned? Yeah, she knew what’s up.

For the “Find me” on Mustafar, I wonder if you could include the sith whispering from the Acolytes when Rey confronts the Sith Throne, I think it would be great foreshadowing. It could be why Kylo suddenly turns around. Then when zooming in on the wayfinder you can hear “find me”.

Also, are you planning on making the Sith Acolytes chant duel of the fates when Palpatine prepares for the sacrifice? Would be a great nod to TPM.

I had a crazy idea as I watch the edit that I think it might be cool and work as little foreshadowing…
in 17:05, when Rey is looking at the forest, may insert a shot with a vfx work Luke Force Ghost/Vision in the woods in a POV of Rey, as the ghosts (mainly Luke) are watching her and standing behind her all along as she trains to be a Jedi, and it would build up to the new Jonh Ghosts vs Palpatine shot, and is not all that hard to make this…

Yes. Or at the very least you could have light orbs flying around, signifying their presence. The scene in it’s original form is annoyingly pointless.

I mentioned this ages ago but what do you think of a little switch around with force healing kylo, with the goal in mind to show Rey’s feelings as romantic, subsequently selling the Reylo kiss at the end.

Switch it around so that Rey’s hand reaches out to heal Ben after she confesses that she wanted to “take Ben’s hand”, healing him, and then running off as Ben stares in awe.

Cut Lando Dialogue in a tv spot, “You said it Chewie, One Last time”

The music is loud but I know it was used in other tv spots without music if anyone can find it I think we can put as Lando’s first line when he arrives in Falcon saying “You said it Chewie, One Last time”

Damn isn’t that part of the scene in the novelisation where Lando picks up a framed picture of a young Luke, Han, Leia and Ben in the Falcon?

I haven’t heard any actors involved say anything of that nature, I guess we’ll have to wait few years for a reveal all memoire or book to really know what happened behind the curtains.

Even Lord & Miller’s remaining scenes kinda show the much sillier tone (Han speaking Shyriiwook, etc.)

Do we really know that though?

Tbh I don’t really know what to believe. The script was pretty bland so I can totally see why they wanted to spice it up a little, and hey, those two have proven many times how capable they are as film-makers. One thing I know for sure is that it would have been a far more interesting film had they had been allowed to carry out their vision.

I think the question is whether Finn’s story in the context of the film is better with the lost sister/father plot line or without. On one hand even though its extremely coincidental (like everything else in the film) you at least have a story for Finn. Without it he’s just, well, there. It’s so frustrating that JJ and Co were so obsessed with “family” as the only possible charachter arc. It almost reads like a Fast and Furious screenplay.
