I just don’t understand people complaining about Frink, but then telling me to let Frink decide what thread is worthy instead of encouraging the poster to think before they post. I understand I’m trying to read logic into imperialscum posts, and that might hurt my head.

Check and confirm that 234-6 are the same person, not who their real identity is. The IP was not revealing in the mod’s research if it was an existing user (which I’m convinced it is not).
An existing user does not need to use the same IP address to create a new account, LOL. You apparently know more than most because I hadn’t seen the mods say anywhere that said research didn’t reveal anything.
Because I did the responsible thing and tattled to Wook on 234 as soon as he appeared.

I can barely remember what projects I’ve contributed to, and I rarely pay attention to who is saying what in a project thread. Maybe Off Topic should be avoided, if the rest of the forum gives you pleasure. I did that for a while. It’s not very hard.
I’m trying to teach a new member how forums work because apparently they don’t know. I had a similar experience on my first forum, so I’m paying it forward instead of just reverting immediately to our usual unhelpful mockery. Sure, new threads can fit forum rules (this one does not, by the way), but Spuffire has been making multiple threads on the same subject and only taking the mockery as a sign to recreate the thread to get a fresh start. The community’s way isn’t working, so I’m reaching out to the person.

Well…I think there’s a pretty good argument to include Lawrence Kasdan the co-writer of The Force Awakens and writer of The Empire Strikes Back. I’d also love to hear from Kathleen Kennedy and her thoughts on bringing this all about. And then of course there’d be a lot of interest in a special commentary with Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford. Heck, a commentary from the folks at ILM would be fascinating. Point is, the buck does not stop with Abrams.

I missed the return of 234. Perhaps he was indeed just a lurker who decided to be The Perfect Troll. In the Era of Socks, I might have embraced him. I guess I don’t want anyone to have a fake account, even if it’s their sole account.
I don’t like watching or being a part of the said thug-fest. Every time I step away, more than just one member run the gamut when it comes to who they want to kick around. I know where it started and I have tried many times to be peaceful only to be told and shown by many others here that it’s never going to happen.
How does one manage that? I am open to all reasonable solutions.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever been part of a forum before, but usually one doesn’t create thread for each wild thought one has. We have so many threads already that one probably can be used for every single one of the duplicate threads you’ve created. It’s why we have threads for the new movies and a Random Thoughts thread.
If you do have an actual new topic, expect that to go off topic soon. It’s how laid back forums like ours function. We try to keep serious threads serious, but unnecessary threads will be mocked then ignored. Like this one.

I just realized that the love interest in Deadpool, who is thoroughly wasted, was played by Inara from Firefly. Now I hate Deadpool even more for wasting her.
The whole movie was a waste. They could have used this opportunity to make their dick and fart jokes without playing exactly into the tropes they made fun of in the credits. Imagine if she got kidnapped, was just offscreen forever, then Deadpool blows all kinds of shit up to get to where she thinks she is, turns out she escaped almost immediately. I honestly don’t think 234 was someone teaching us a valuable lesson. Was it a perfect representation of the exact kind of user we don’t care for? Absolutely.
Since [POLITICS] happened a couple weeks ago, I’ve been rip-roaring to stand up to bullies. After an opportunity to do so happened at work, I was fired up and took out some more rage on the aforementioned troll. The lesson I said I learned was basically a realization that I should have a limit to my kindness, or people will walk all over me.
