Just a couple things from IMDB that I myself noticed too and they bug me. Many of the little details don't, but these do... maybe its something for you to consider.....
1. The original version has the Rebel fleet hyperspace out immediately before the end credits. Follow-up versions (THX re-release, Special Edition and DVD) all cut to the end credits before the hyperspace jump.
IMDB seems to be the only source on this, as no one I've seen in other threads can produce the evidence or video that the fleet ever went into hyperspace. I need to see if my dad still has the original CBS-FOX VHS copies of ESB and RotJ and see if this is true. I grew up on those copies though, and I don't remember that.
2. As they are are walking through cloud city, Leia is between Han and Lando. As they come around a corner, Han and Lando have switched places.
Never noticed that. Not sure how we could fix that...
3. In the updated special edition TESB, as Han, Leia, Lando and Chewy are walking to the trap Vader has set, they walk past one of the new "visualizations" with a lift going up and a view of Bespin. Yet in the following shot, when you see Han holding his gun, the original browny white background is back in its place.
This has been pointed out, but I hope that Ady uses my idea of having the window fade back to the brown wall or the brown wall actually be shutters that slide up as they are walking by (which gives Chewie something to look back at and be worried about), instead of removing the window completely or doing the impossible and putting the open window behind everyone in all of those shots.
4. During the Battle for Hoth, several rebel soldiers fall down without being hit.
5. (This one REALLY bugs me) Several times, during the escape from Cloud City, stormtroopers are shot, but no blast marks are left on their armor. In addition, the intensity of the guns' blasters against the stormtroopers progressively decreases and increases during the episode.
6. (This one REALLY REALLY bugs the living hell out of me throughout the entire saga) The sounds for lasers and lightsabers change throughout the movie, even with the same weapon being used more than once in a scene. A good example is Han's blaster in the asteroid cave, which makes at least two completely different noises when firing. (Or lightsabers..... if each lightsaber sounds different, I can accept that. But when they clash, they should all sound the same. The lack of big clash noise ruined every lightsaber battle for me, and the fact that each battle sounded completely different from one another sucked, especially the Dooku scenes. But don't get me started on those cause i could go on for hours)
I'm sure some of Ady's redone laser blasts will find their marks now, as we've seen in ANHR. Not sure about those particular sound effects. Maybe each saber brings its own clash sound to the fight?
Just a couple for tonight. Just me being nitpicky.
No, nitpicky is pointing out lights in matte paintings that aren't consistant, and panel colors on the Falcon. Just teasing, ImperialFighter! :-P
