I have all the Indy movies too if you need screenshots. :-P

I knew the avalanche of videos would have to stop sometime. We already have more than we did for ANHR and we probalby aren't halfway through it! I can't wait for a fully-functional trailer. I think you should use the announcer audio from the SE trailers. I really like the "And a few new surprises." It would really work well with your trailer, I'm sure!
I would definately stick to publication order. The set I read was one of the last to have them in that order. Like C3PX said, Magician's Nephew is more of a "oh, so that's why" experience.
Ziz said:Ok, I didn't think of it that way. I figured the Joker was so confident that it wouldn't matter which one Batman or the cops went for.
Where was it mentioned that Joker swapped the addresses?
I don't remember that it was explicitly stated, but that was the impression that I got.
Ziz said:I noticed a continuity mistake that would be hard to fix. After the interrogation scene where Joker tells Batman where Harvey and Rachel are, Batman says he's going after Rachel but he goes after Harvey. Then later in the film, there's a reference to those same addresses for the final confrontation with Harvey. So which one do you change, and how?
The Joker gave Batman the wrong address so that Batman would lose whoever he really wanted to save. Or did I miss them mentioning it again?
The Chinese AotC came with an excluse "A Knight's Tale" 3-D screensaver? Man, we don't get any cool stuff!
This is like the Crystal Skull Edit thread, as I’m not going to be able to do this myself (a lack of tools, not knowhow), but I wanted to make a thread suggesting how we might trim down the already-great Dark Knight into something maybe a bit better… or at least different.
Things you didn’t think work well? Things that went on too long? Tweaks to existing scenes? Throw them out here!
For example, I think there are a few scenes that could be excised with some work.
I loved that The World’s Greatest Detective did some detective work in this movie, but the thing with the shattered bullet was just too much.
It’s obvious the Joker knew someone would figure it out since he had the telescope and blinds on a timer. It would be nice if one of the dead people in the room with the bullet lived at the address on the parade route, because that would make much more sense. The Joker killed someone to take over their apartment, and figured the irony of the last names made it even better.
Also, I feel that Bruce taking the ballet away was unnecessary, because he doesn’t really need an excuse to leave. Also, what did all these Russian ballerinas think when a plane lands in the water next to them and Bruce swims over and they never see him again? It could cut from Bruce and Alfred talking about the plane to the shot over the city, or even from Lucius and Bruce talking and cut from the line about “Now that’s more like it” to the city which would leave a bit more mystery as to what they’re talking about.
Another thing I’d like to see is a version of the movie with the IMAX scenes from Disc 2 of the DVD in their original 1.44:1 aspect ratio, not the all-theatrical version on the DVD or even the 16:9 crop for the Blu Ray.
Again, this is just a thread for suggestions. Maybe we’ll inspire someone to take it up!
Would anyone would have imagined a few years ago that we would be eager to use the MENU TRANSITIONS in a finished film because they looked better than the film itself?
If your's isn't something like 9 GB, its the DVD5/second draft, which only has one or two tiny fixes undone and no bonus features besides text commentary. It is compressed, but not so much that you would notice. Don't worry about it, just burn a Data DVD with the files and see what comes out of your DVD player!
Alright, your problem with Nero when it was complaining was that you were trying to author your own DVD using the files you downloaded, which isn't what you needed. The data DVD is definiately the option you want to choose.
As for DVD5 vs DVD9, its all in what file you downloaded. The DVD9 file is well over the 4.3 GB the DVD5 file is. You wouldn't be able to burn the DVD9 file on the DVD5, so just burn what you can and it should be alright.
One thing missing that I hope will be evident in motion:
Sky traffic. Just a little, even if far off in the distance. Just some movement like ILM added to the establishing shot of Mos Eisley.

:-O
Wha? How? Are those shots from the SE approach made into mattes? Are you cutting the SE approach? I love the brightness of your scenes...
Amazing.
My state of Star Wars?
I saw the Clone Wars movie in theaters, and though I thought it was underwhelming I gave the show a try and am enjoying it so far. But honestly if it wasn't for Revisited, I think I'd be full-on in my Star Trek kick (I tend to drift in and out of the franchises; this is the first time I've been genuinely excited about both).
I'll give the live action show a shot (if the franchise isn't run into the ground by then and it still gets made), but the books lost me about halfway through the prequel release timeframe, as I realized that Lucas didn't give a rat's patootie about the books, so why should I?
Looking through an archive of the Official Site's GOUT vs DVD comparison, and I noticed this:

Not only did they use the same hallway for the SE shot of people wandering, but they used the SAME SE HALLWAY with the same buildings in the background.
vaderios, I think this is what Ady is looking for. Not new matte paintings (as he could do that himself), but entirely new CGI building like ILM created for this shot(s). Sadly they only created new 3D buildings for the bare minority of the shots:

And just "enhanced" them (ie, left them the same) in others:

It would be awesome if someone was able to recreate all the original matte paintings in 3D.
I think the closest person we have to the main cast / crew who at least has a copy is Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca). There's a picture somewhere in the thread of him receiving a copy. He should like it, as he's complained for years about Chewie not getting a medal at the end of the movie!
ABC said:Dears,
I rode that on the begining of a little video from Youtube (A George Lucas interview):
- "Georges Lucas, always wanting to cash in, released Adywan's version with his name on it. However Lucas still prefers his own crappy special edition"
It is the 4th video on this page
Anybody knows what does it mean ? Is it a fake interview ?
Its a fake video, using Lucas' frequent awkward pauses to make it look like he doesn't know how to react to Revisited. It's pretty funny.

if the audio of his perfectly healthy moans of pain was replaced with that of a person barely able to breath it would be enough for me (I will mention this in the future when Ady gets around to doing Ep III) what do you guys think?
sorry for the off topic post but this has bugged me since I saw the movie in the cinema
TMBTM mentioned something like this on page 10 of 'The Prequel Radical Redux Ideas Thread', and I like this thought.
I just wish we'd got slightly more 'Vader in suit' action by the end of the third one, but George just didn't write it that way at the time, unfortunately. Instead of the 'fade-out' as he (badly) screamed out "Noooooooooooo!", I'd have like to have seen him say, 'force throw' even the Emperor near him against the wall, and then have the injured Emperor put his hand up quickly, while telling Vader "WAIT!...."
Do Jedi call their attacks like anime ninja? ;-P
Is it bad that I asked for KotCS for my birthday just so I could be justified in downloading whatever edit comes out of this thread?
I don't remember if I mentioned it on this thread before, but my main problem with this movie is that I never felt the characters were in any danger. I'm seeing it in the theater for the first time and not once was I worried for the characters. I still get stressed out during Temple of Doom with the collapsing ceiling, but there wasn't anything like that in KotCS. The part where I expected to find traps or whatever (the graveyard), all I got were pointless tribal ninjas and Indy almost running into unfamiliar terriority with his son in tow! Every step into the temple or wherever I expected Indy to just stop everyone so he could at least CHECK for traps, but he didn't seem to care, which made me not care either.
If the characters don't care about their own safety, how are we supposed to?

Why doesn' t Adywan mention links for his own work ? Is it a secret ?
It's safer for a fan editor to release it into the wild and say "find it yourself". That way if Lucasfilm comes knocking they can't say "YOU posted it here and have links for it HERE, HERE, and HERE". This site also forbids direct links for the same reason. The link you were given used to be THE place for direct links, but the MPAA came a couple months ago and made them take all the links down. Scary stuff.
But Revisited is the greatest thing ever. Be sure to download the DVD-9 (dual layer) for all the bonus feature goodness. And visit the links in my signature if you want to see every visual change / fix Adywan made to the movie. He gave me 500 of them, and that doesn't count changes in movement, pacing changes, or audio changes.
I watched the gallery and it looks very promising.
Please, what is the MPAA ?
The Motion Picture Association of America. They represent American movie studios and they're in charge of the rating system (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17). They also try to prevent piracy, which is why they frown on links to movies on websites.
DarthBo said:I was watching the DVD9 version again yesterday when I suddenly realized something:
The battle of heroes music you added to reflect Anakin and Obi-Wan's fight in EpIII... isn't that a major clue/spoiler that Darth Vader is Anakin?
If you are removing the Vader=Anakin references from the prequels, isn't adding this music to the OT a bit contradictory? Or are you planning on replacing the music in the PT?
Just wondering :-)
Good point. Maybe "Battle of the Heroes" is more of "Obi-wan is fighting" than "Obi-wan and Anakin are fighting"?
I found some transparency issues while the Falcon is being chased by Star Destroyers. That's just ridiculous.

Thanks. I'm not sure it's DVD 9. It says Adywan's STAR WARS - REVISITED: PAL
I'll look all that quietly later. For now I go back to work. Thanks to you once more ! :)
Do you live in the PAL region (ie, not America)? Just making sure.
ABC said:Lol ! Thanks.
I have part 1 on 47 now. I thought I could see the first minutes before I get the rest but my softwares don' t want to run it. It'll probably lead me to another question but I'll wait until I've tried all I can.
Only if you're downloading the XVID will you be able to just watch it. The rest need to be burned to DVD, or the complete ISO will need to finish and you run a virtual DVD-ROM drive.
And know that the XVID is just the first draft.
Know your versions!

I'd love a Demoniod invite so I can grab Jambe's documentaries.
EDIT: Got one, thanks!
