Ady, what say you?
Ady, what say you?
I will agree with Photobucket. I used Imageshack till I realized that I could organize and keep the file names of my pictures on Photobucket at easily remembered urls.

As much as I didn't like the film, I would watch that. The most intresting parts for me were the flashbacks to that era.
Man, that was the only one I ever bought! I wish I still had it, if only just to help you out.
I watched the trailer the other day and thought it looked cool. Now that you guys are getting involved, I'm going to have to have it!
Luke Vader said:this may sound stupid but how do I insert pictures in my posts? Do I have to upload them on imageshack first?
Yes, or Photobucket. Photobucket is much more functional, in my opinion.
corellian77 said:Just a quick question... is there any particular reason the forum members' real names are being kept separate (i.e., secret) from the screen names on doubleofive's list? Won't they be public once Ady releases ESB:R anyway? (I'm assuming, of course, that both our real and screen names would appear in the credits).
Just wondering.
Adywan says the Real Names will be replacing the Screennames for those who opt to do so. I figured instead of offending those who might feel that tying their real name to their screenname was a violation of privacy, I'd just post the screennames to make sure everyone who wants to be credited is there, and leave the rest to Ady.
Besides, I have the list in three different places so I won't lose it. I really don't want to have to keep three seprate files updated. ;-)
Octorox is referring to the fact that the people who are making The People vs George Lucas are already asking Fan Editors to do exactly what you're talking about.

Savage said:Could someone provide the link to the ESB:R clip archive? The member's name escapes me at this moment (005, maybe?), but someone was keeping an online database of all the clips to this point. I only have a couple of them and have turned a few more friends onto the project and they'd like to see the previous clips as well. Ady's got a number of them linked in his first post, but I know there's more. Plus, the "Revisited Repository" (that should be trademarked :) ) had the dates attached to each clip, which is very nice, too!
I have all of the videos on my flash drive (except the original teaser trailer), but I don't have them online. I posted my list a couple months ago so people could make sure they have everything. But Adywan seems to have posted the links to most of the videos. I might do a comparison to see what he's missing.
Here is my list: (file name, description, Adywan's listing)

Wow, that took a while. That is weird though. A layer Ady forgot to delete maybe?
Sluggo said:doubleofive said:I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
We are used to that ;)
After all the scrolling I just did for this thread? I'm going to delete your name from the credits! HA!
;-P
I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Duplicates?
Boost = TheBoost ?
professa = professa skiving at work ?
Darth Stewie = DarthStewie ?
CLIVE_FERRYHILL = clive_ferryhill_jedi ?Posted to my googlepage. PM me if you're not on there. I'm keeping the "civilian names" elsewhere.
I was indeed 'Boost' but I forgot that password because I'm dumb.
Which one do you want in the credits?
I haven't been on this thread to avoid spoilers, but I'll post my mini-review:
I did not like it at all. Overly long, overly boring. When you make a movie about characters that just don't care about humanity, its hard to care. They barely batted an eye when one of their own kills millions of people and frames another one of their friends, why should we?
Maybe we are just too far removed from the Cold War, maybe its just me. Nothing resonated with me. Watchmen didn't make any of the points I was led from the trailers that it would. I thought by Rorschach's line in the trailer about people looking up for help and him saying no that the story was about heroes who were outlawed and when the world really needed them they refused to help.
This is really disjointed. I'm going to write a review on my blog that is more coherent...
EDIT: Here is the link to my review. It's still pretty disjointed, but hey, so is the movie. ;-)
Updated your name, LadyFerry. Though I think the credits are in all caps...
doubleofive (all lowercase, unless you want to capitalize the middle O)

Yes, I guess I should be the target of the secret identities...
can you put the forum name next to the real names then please so i can keep track. thanks
That was my plan! Glad we're using a spreadsheet.
Almost halfway done. 194 names so far.

You are a star doubleofive! x
I'm trying to redeem myself from my part in the April Fools Joke of last year. ;-)

That would be very helpful if you could do that for me. thanks
Here goes nothing. ;-)

Octorox said:Hmm...then why is the SD moving forward in the previous shot?
It's moving into position and slowing down once we see inside?
dickalan said:Hello! I'm a total newb here. So i hope i'm not messing up with any of the rules here. I'll do my best to follow them.
So what i'm trying to 'preserve' (collect) is the original theatrical 77, 80, 83 trilogy.
I think i've found what i wanted over at demonoid posted by 'booster2' if you do a search you can find it with: (The Original Unaltered Trilogy)
From what he said it's the 2006 bonus discs but somehow he got it to be fully widescreen instead of it cut off or whatever the problem was with those...
So a perfect theatrical release on DVD?? CHECK
Basically its a crop with some stabilization scripts ran on it. Hardly perfect, but definitely better from my understanding.
Now i guess what i'm asking for here is if anyone can upload (becuase i couldn't find it) the 1997 HDTV Special Editions? So I can burn it onto a single DVD, not DL. I know that seems like it defeats the purpose (downgrading) But as far as technology goes this is all i have at the moment. (newly wed trying to save up)
So yea the 1997 HDTV Special Edition on a 4.3 GB DVD upload to demonoid would be AWESOME!!!
I don't believe the 97 SE was ever shown in HD. Just the 04 SE. See Adywan's 1080P AVCHD for the closest thing.
Savage said:Anyone (not necessarily Ady if he's too busy) want to upload a top/bottom comparison vid of the new shot and the DVD? There's been a LOT of improvements and it would be great to see them side-by-side.
I didn't even notice the X-wing getting blown up the first time around, nor did I notice the bridge windows being extended. It just felt right from start to finish. The attention to detail and continuity is so very, very nice to behold. Good stuff. :)
The windows aren't extended Ady MOVED the officers to the front of the ship so it no longer looks like they're sliding past the planet! Isn't that awesome?!
I don't have the tech to do a video comp. It would be cool though.
