Idea: Watchmen - an edit...

I really don't understand the mentality of some people but there were young kids in the audience. Needless to say they were ushered out after Rorschack started getting some decent screen time.

10:20 showing opening night. Probably 7 year old kid in front of me. Stayed the whole time, even after the film melted around midnight. Some parents...

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I'm going to have to agree with Vaderios and others. It's a 8000-19000 meter (5-12 mile!) long ship, but from the reused hallways it looks like the entire movie takes place in about 2000 square feet. We never see anything from the interior to make this look like the huge ship it is. Maybe a change in hallway outside Vader's personal bunk would help that out.

And if there's all those officers outside, why couldn't they tell Vader about the energy shield? I guess that Vader doesn't recieve calls in there, that's why someone had to go tell him personally, then he calls Ozzel from there. It would help Veers' (right?) nervousness if there is no one around to help him if Vader decides to kill him.

Beautiful images, Adywan, ESB is looking better than new.

I've read the list of changes in page 1 and I have a doubt: Have you noticed that Luke turns his head early to look at the Millennium Falcon taking off in Hoth?:

Greetings.

Regarding this scene, it seems Luke heard the sound of the Falcons engines, then turned in time to see it fly past. With his helmet on, he wouldn't have any periphery vision so the falcon would not have caught his eye unless he heard it first. I don't see this scene as being a blooper. It flows pretty naturally.

This scene might be improved if possible by tracking the path of the falcon for just a little longer. Maybe.

If he didn't have any periphery vision, he would have been looking even more straightly at it or behind it, not looking far ahead of it.

I know that it's been mentioned before, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thrawn or Xizor
Time

Shadows was a terrible book. No character acted the way they were supposed to. Part of the book is Leia fighting against some kind of pheremones Xizor lets off that makes her want to make out with him. It's really weird. And EVERYTHING from the beginning of RotJ is set up. The Boushh disquise, the thermal detonator, everything comes together in a nice little bow.

Every time you post new stuff Ady, it's like Christmas morning :)

Very nice screencaps... your work on Bespin with the new sunset and background building elements was really impressive. Where'd you get the buildings from? They look great.

I see there's also a slew of new sample vids on page 1 (unless they've been there awhile and I'm just slow to realize it). Downloading 'em as we speak... can't wait.

These are the same videos he's been posting, just combined on the front page. You can find my listing here.

force Kick

The guy being kicked could be moved to the right and behind the railing to begin with. I think that would be easier to do than to move Luke forwards.

Then the victim could be moved slightly left as a result of the kick to make it look as powerful to the victim as the throwing of the blaster is ...

I find the kick itself to look a little wimpy. Maybe when it actually hits the victim would the leg movement look better.

I wish Vaderios was here. If you import a GIF "video frames to layers" you can edit this in Photoshop, then export it back out. I tried to matte out everything and make an all new background, but I really didn't have the time/patience/skill. You'd also have to move the guy closer to Luke, re time the hit so he reacts at the right time, and redo Luke's saber that seems to disappear as it goes behind his body.

It's on doubleofive's first post on page 261. His current compilation of member's forum names (that appeared on this thread) are shown, and being updated until Adywan calls a halt.

And its in my signature now.

What do you LIKE about the EU?
Time

I like the Lando and Han books that were before the EU actually existed. I liked the facts that you could have several adventures and NOT run into the Empire or any of the other main characters. It's a big galaxy, and I think the books showed that people didn't have to be "Imperial" or "Rebel". They could choose to be neutral and just try to live their lives.

I like the Thrawn books, if only for Thrawn (for all the reasons TheBoost gave).

I especially like the "Tales from" books, especially "Empire" and "New Republic". The Star Wars Universe is too big to focus just on the Skywalkers, Solos, and Wedge. The short stories in those showed other sides to the war, other opinions on what was going on.

The only idea that might work for a prequel with all the characters is something that shows the group doing their things up until the Keene Act puts them out of business.

As much as I didn't like the film, I would watch that. The most intresting parts for me were the flashbacks to that era.

Just a quick question... is there any particular reason the forum members' real names are being kept separate (i.e., secret) from the screen names on doubleofive's list? Won't they be public once Ady releases ESB:R anyway? (I'm assuming, of course, that both our real and screen names would appear in the credits).

Just wondering.

Adywan says the Real Names will be replacing the Screennames for those who opt to do so. I figured instead of offending those who might feel that tying their real name to their screenname was a violation of privacy, I'd just post the screennames to make sure everyone who wants to be credited is there, and leave the rest to Ady.

Besides, I have the list in three different places so I won't lose it. I really don't want to have to keep three seprate files updated. ;-)

Could someone provide the link to the ESB:R clip archive? The member's name escapes me at this moment (005, maybe?), but someone was keeping an online database of all the clips to this point. I only have a couple of them and have turned a few more friends onto the project and they'd like to see the previous clips as well. Ady's got a number of them linked in his first post, but I know there's more. Plus, the "Revisited Repository" (that should be trademarked :) ) had the dates attached to each clip, which is very nice, too!

I have all of the videos on my flash drive (except the original teaser trailer), but I don't have them online. I posted my list a couple months ago so people could make sure they have everything. But Adywan seems to have posted the links to most of the videos. I might do a comparison to see what he's missing.

Here is my list: (file name, description, Adywan's listing)
